Congress massively outperforms stock market (again)

The US Congress once again outperformed the stock market in 2023, according to new analysis by financial platform Unusual Whales.

In a rare display of bipartisanship, members from both sides of the political aisle had bumper years, including familiar names such as Nancy Pelosi and Susan Collins, who outperformed the market by 41.7% and 30.7% respectively. It is the third year running that Congress has now beat the market.

The God of Lincoln

… This God of Lincoln is a fleeting glimpse of the one we need to discover in our own hearts and bring into our public life. Our only way forward, you see, is to rediscover the will of God as Lincoln knew it. The will of Lincoln’s God only exists in “the now”. What will come after the present moment – the rest of life- is to be acted out by all of us.

US Lack of Resolve Incentivizing China on Taiwan

America’s role as guarantor of global freedom of navigation and defender of “Law of the Sea” treaties is taking a hit. The Biden administration continues to dither rather than to act decisively in liquidating the capability of Iran’s proxy, the Yemeni Houthis, who have been effectively blocking passage of commercial ships in and out of the Red Sea, decimating traffic through the Suez Canal. The December 31 counterattack by US naval helicopter gunships, which sank three Houthi attack boats, was a good start but did not solve the problem.

Will our military fight for Joe Biden?

It’s late 2024, and Democrats/socialists/communists (D/s/cs) are getting desperate. Maybe it’s clear Trump is going to win beyond any imaginable margin of election fraud. Maybe they realize when 140% of registered voters cast ballots nationwide, Americans are going to make the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror look like a Girl Scout picnic. Maybe all those dead voters are ready to turn state’s evidence. Either way, they’re certain they’re going to jail—or worse–and not on trumped-up political charges. It’s time for martial law!

The question is, will our military fight for Joe Biden, or whichever D/s/c wants them to imprison, torture and kill Normal Americans?

Our Razor’s Edge

At some point, the patience of the American people will run out.

At the end of the year, we are on the razor’s edge of many things that soon may blow up.

Americans are far beyond President Joe Biden’s serial untruths of some eight years that he never discussed Hunter Biden’s various get-rich-quick schemes.

All were predicated on the perception of foreign interests purchasing from the Biden family the influence of then-senator, vice president, and possibly soon-to-be President Joe Biden.

A Reckoning Approaches

How to sum up 2023? Pondering the year gone by, I’m aware of having frequently experienced a sense that America, and to some extent the world, was approaching a day of reckoning – a sense that events on a wide variety of fronts were advancing toward a decisive climax of a yet indeterminate nature. Another way to put this is to say that it was the year in which the enemies of freedom began to practice their perfidy with unprecedented aggressiveness and to purvey their preposterous narrative with a new degree of reckless abandon – even as that perfidy became more transparent to the average American citizen and the narrative seemed to take significant steps toward collapsing.

The Wuhan Cover-Up: Review of Bobby Kennedy’s Crucial Book

When Bobby Kennedy talked about writing this book a couple of years ago, I asked him, why? Mindful of how the truth about everything COVID (and much else) was being memory-holed, he said he wanted to create an accurate historical record of what happened, for the future.

I thought that was a good answer. We desperately need a clear, accurate understanding about many things that have been taking place over the past few years, or should I say decades, and we all need to be saving hard copies or pdfs on hard drives of the important bits of history that we dig up.

How tensions between Russia and the West are mounting in the Arctic

Down by the harbour in Longyearbyen, the crew of the Polargirl prepared for the day’s voyage, a round trip across the fjord to the Russian coal-mining settlement of Barentsburg on Norway’s Svalbard archipelago.

One would-be traveller, her suitcase set down in the snow, explained that she planned to spend the night in Barentsburg and return the next day before Masha, the Russian guide, shook her head sadly.

Plane detained in France sheds light on Nicaragua’s role in US migrant crisis

The detention in France of a charter plane bound for Nicaragua has renewed attention on the Central American nation’s role as a springboard for migrants from across the world seeking to make their way to the United States.

The flight, which left the United Arab Emirates on 21 December with 303 passengers of Indian nationality, was grounded during a refueling stop after an anonymous tip-off alleging human trafficking.

The passengers, however, were not being trafficked against their will, but rather attempting to migrate.

Nicaragua is the closest country connected by land to the United States that does not impose strict entry requirements upon citizens of many nations who are barred from flying to other destinations without a visa.

Iranian national with alleged terrorism ties deported from U.S. to Canada

A fugitive with ties to terrorism has been deported from New York back to Canada, where he is wanted on assault charges.

The Iranian national, who is also a permanent resident of Canada, was deported on Dec. 21. The fugitive, who was not named in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) release, is described as a “national security priority,” a designation often used for individuals who are believed to be involved in activities that could endanger national security.

I’m sure Justin will write him a nice big cheque soon as he’s back from Vacay. Whatever his name is.

US military robot spaceplane blasts off on secret mission aboard Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket

The US military’s X-37B robot spaceplane blasted off from Florida on Thursday night on a secretive seventh mission.

The mission marks the first time the uncrewed, autonomous craft has been launched on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket, capable of delivering it to unprecedented altitudes and a higher orbit than ever before.

Composed of three liquid-fueled rocket cores strapped together, the Falcon Heavy roared off its launch pad from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in a spectacular liftoff carried live on a SpaceX webcast.

Illinois NAACP president is SUSPENDED after branding Biden’s Migrants ‘rapists and savages’ who are taking resources from black and homeless people

The head of the Illinois Chapter of the NAACP has been suspended over her inflammatory comments about migrants.

Teresa Haley made the remarks during a Zoom call in October, where she labeled the more than 25,000 new arrivals ‘savages’ and ‘rapists’.

The soundbite soon went viral, and eventually elicited both an apology from Haley, and a statement from the seminal civil rights group.

Is the US Ready for China’s Mass-Produced Humanoid Robots?

The Chinese regime has unveiled plans to mass produce humanoid robots in an apparent effort to insulate itself from reliance on foreign powers by replacing Chinese workers with machines.

The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled its plan to mass-produce humanoid robots in a November guidance document. The sweeping ramifications of the policy are still being uncovered.
