Foreign Fraud Gangs Are Ripping Off West Coast States

The Somali fraud scandal has captured Americans’ imaginations. The story is almost unbelievable: Somalis in Minnesota allegedly set up fraudulent housing services, meal programs, and autism-therapy offerings, which formed part of a “web” that stole “billions of dollars in taxpayer money.” Some fraudulently obtained funds, according to federal law enforcement sources, ended up in the hands of Al-Shabaab terrorists.

Meantime, on the West Coast, another pattern of fraud has taken root: foreign criminals have developed sophisticated schemes to cheat and steal from unsuspecting Americans. I spoke with a veteran blue-city police detective, who has spent two decades investigating serious crimes, in order to learn more about how these groups operate and what might be done to stop them.

Anti-ICE Types Enjoy Their Alternate Reality Heroics Until They’re Not

One of the most befuddling and truly irritating things about all the theatrics surrounding the ICE enforcement brouhaha has been the levels of self-delusion that the Left is willing to indulge in in order to perpetuate the hysteria.

These lunatics have suspended time and reality in their demented and twisted brain housing groups.

An incident can happen, and be filmed without any alteration, then shown right in front of them, and they will immediately devise a different scenario than the one on screen out of whole cloth, as if it were some avant-garde ad-lib theater exercise.

US Deputy Health and Human Services Secretary slams MAiD organ donation in Canada as ‘horror’

CALGARY — The US Deputy Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary, Jim O’Neil, has bashed Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAiD) program as being a “strange new horror” when it comes to its organ donations.

Reported by the Washington Examiner, O’Neil stated MAiD has crossed ethical boundaries by using it as a tool to increase organ donation — citing Canada has become a world leader in organ transplant policy from deceased patients.

Oh No! It’s The Tone Police! Run President Trump! Run!

Awesome ad.

ICE’s online posts and advertisements set a dangerous tone

After watching the video of the tragic shooting of Renée Nicole Good by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said: “What you see is what you get in this case.”

Long before software turned “what you see is what you get” into WYSIWYG, it was the catchphrase of Geraldine Jones, comedian Flip Wilson’s iconic character, who also dodged blame with her excuse, “the devil made me do it.” Geraldine understood that surface impressions feel complete precisely because they’re vivid. They rarely are complete.

Trump tells Iranians ‘keep protesting,’ says ‘help is on its way’ and regime will ‘pay a big price’

WASHINGTON — President Trump called on Iranian protesters to take over government buildings Tuesday in one of his starkest calls yet for a regime-change revolution to topple the Islamic Republic.

“Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump warns ‘we’re screwed’ if Supreme Court rules against emergency tariffs

WASHINGTON — President Trump declared Monday that the US would be “screwed” if the Supreme Court rules against his reciprocal tariff policies — arguing the feds would have to “pay back” billions in revenue collected over the past year.

“[I]f the Supreme Court rules against the United States of America on this National Security bonanza, WE’RE SCREWED!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

John Ivison: Canada can help Trump secure the Arctic without seizing Greenland

Canada is offering to contribute military assets to a multilateral force being proposed by Germany and Britain to boost NATO’s presence in Greenland, government sources said.

One official said that Prime Minister Mark Carney raised with allies the issue of reinforcing the Arctic, including Greenland, when he was in Europe last week. “We welcome the German and British plan and are actively involved in talks with NATO and our allies,” the official said.

Bloomberg reported on Sunday that European countries, led by Germany, are preparing a plan aimed at showing President Donald Trump that the continent is serious about Arctic security.

Carney government in talks with China about EV tariffs

OTTAWA — Canadian negotiators are in “active discussions” with China about lowering or dropping tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles in exchange for easing punitive Chinese counter-tariffs on Canadian canola and seafood, but government officials declined to say how it might affect Canada’s trade tensions with a U.S. administration that is hawkish on blocking China’s EVs from North America.

On the eve of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trip to Beijing, the talks are considered so politically sensitive as the U.S. and Canada navigate the upcoming negotiation to renew the North American free trade pact that Canadian officials would say very little about the tariff dispute that is jamming Ottawa between China and the U.S. and opened a double trade war for this country.

It appears Ford was not asked for comment.

Why Canada should make a bid to host the United Nations headquarters

Donald Trump’s assault on the United Nations continues. Last Wednesday, he signed an executive order pulling the United States out of 31 UN bodies or agreements, in addition to another 35 that work closely with it.

These 66 entities do crucial work promoting world order and global well-being. They include the Framework Convention on Climate Change – the only truly global effort to prevent catastrophic overheating of the planet – as well as the International Law Commission, the Peacebuilding Commission, the UN Conference on Trade and Development, offices dedicated to fighting child soldiery, violence against children, sexual violence in conflict, and so on.

Olympic tensions flare as US skeleton star alleges Canadian coach rigged qualifying event

Sporting tensions between the USA and Canada have erupted once again, this time in skeleton as next month’s Winter Olympics approach.

The USA’s Katie Uhlaender, a five-time Winter Olympian in skeleton, has accused the Canadian team of depriving her of a place at the Milan-Cortina Games by manipulating a qualifying event over the weekend.

Uhlaender says that Canada deliberately pulled four of its six athletes from the race in the North American Cup in Lake Placid, New York. That meant the field was reduced to under 21 athletes and fewer qualifying points were on offer due to the lack of competition. Uhlaender believes the Canadian team did so to prevent American athletes from catching them in the standings for Olympic qualifying.

The Media Are Agents of Propaganda

Years of anti-ICE propaganda helped lead to a deadly confrontation in Minneapolis.

Last Thursday Vice President JD Vance joined a White House press briefing to discuss initiatives the Trump administration is taking to investigate the pervasive welfare fraud that has been discovered in Minnesota. He was inevitably asked questions about the death of Renee Good after she attempted to drive her SUV over an ICE agent in Minneapolis. Vance described the media coverage of the death as “disgraceful,” and followed up with this question: “You guys are meant to report the truth. How have you let yourselves become agents of propaganda?” The collective response of the “reporters” was to disregard the question, but the answer is vital to the future of the republic.

White Lives Matter

It occurred to me yesterday that what we’re seeing online and in the streets in reaction to the shooting of Renee Good is very familiar. And then it occurred to me why. What we’re seeing is the Black Lives Matter playbook.

Think about it for a moment. Going back years to the start of Black Lives Matter the organization established a particular way of operating. They would identify a shooting, usually involving a white police officer and a black suspect, and they would quickly nationalize the outrage and demand justice for this individual. Activists would rush to television cameras demanding everyone say his name (or her name) and then there would be organized street protests against law enforcement, often making some demands.

‘A giant step back’: Liberals rage against red meat after new food pyramid guidelines release

Eating real food is not quite that simple, and might even constitute “bowing to Big Meat,” depending on who you ask.

After Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his department dropped the new federal dietary guidelines — which have been historically referred to as the food pyramid — the recommendation of eating “real food,” including red meat and full-fat dairy, was seen as an attack by many in the dietary sphere.
