US Official Cites NGO’s ‘Hate Speech’ Label for Residential School ‘Denialism’ When Announcing Free-Speech Sanctions

The U.S. Department of State has announced sanctions against a number of individuals including the British head of the Global Disinformation Index (GDI) Clare Melford, whose organization issued a report this summer listing “digital denialism” of Canadian residential schools as one example of “hate speech” that harms democracy.

Undersecretary of State Sarah Rogers linked to a Sept. 25 GDI report on hate speech in Canada in an X post to announce Melford’s travel ban, saying that GDI has interfered with speech on American platforms, including by labeling opinions that “question” the nature of Canadian residential schools as hate speech.

It’s Your Civic Duty To Reject The ‘Nation Of Immigrants’ Propaganda You Learned In School

America is not a “nation of immigrants,” and never has been, but there has been a generations-long effort to make Americans feel a false sense of camaraderie with culturally unrecognizable people from all over the globe.

Every generation for the past century-plus has been told the same thing: The United States exists to save the entire world’s less well-to-do by bringing them here and allowing them to experience the American Dream.

It was an argument made by politicians and members of the media, to be sure, but government schools made sure to “mold young minds” into believing the nonsense as well.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Spars With Atheists Over Arkansas State Christmas Proclamation

Arkansas’s governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, is being praised by conservatives for her handling of a demand from an association of atheists and agnostics miffed by her decision to include a “theological account of the Christian story of Jesus’ birth” in her official proclamation closing state offices for Christmas.

The spat kicked off when Ms. Sanders — who served as White House press secretary during the first Trump administration — announced that state offices would be closed an extra day this year, December 26, “in celebration of Christmas.”

Canada bill targeting refugees feared to signal new era of US-style border policy

Canada’s Liberal government is pushing through sweeping new legislation targeting refugees that observers fear will usher in a new era of US-style border policies, fueling xenophobia and the scapegoating of immigrants.

Bill C-12, or Strengthening Canada’s Immigration System and Borders Act, includes many changes around border security along with new ineligibility rules for refugee claimants.

It was fast-tracked and passed through a third reading in the House of Commons on 11 December before members of parliament rose for the holidays. If it receives Senate approval in February, the bill will become law.

US carries out airstrikes against Islamic State ‘terrorist scum’ in Nigeria, Trump says

Donald Trump has said the US carried out airstrikes against Islamic State militants in north-west Nigeria on Thursday, after spending weeks decrying the group for targeting Christians.

The president said in a post on his Truth Social platform: “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!

“I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing.”

Have the American Pope and the American administration fallen out?

Jesse Romero, a conservative Catholic podcaster, has some choice words for Pope Leo XIV.

“The Pope should tell us how to get to heaven,” says Romero. “He has no authority over the government; he has to stay in his lane.”

As a Donald Trump supporter, he is angry about criticism made by the American-born Pope and US bishops about his mass deportation policy.

With one in five Americans identifying as Catholic, the Church plays an important role in American life – and politics.

Will Trump attack Venezuela? Russia evacuates diplomats’ families

Moscow is said to have begun evacuating the families of Russian diplomats from Venezuela as Washington increases military pressure on President Maduro.

An unnamed European intelligence official said Russia was viewing the situation in Caracas in “very grim terms”, the Associated Press reported.

The Russian foreign ministry denied the report, calling it “a lie” and “a western provocation”. Although it said the embassy was not being evacuated, it did not address the issue of whether the spouses and children of diplomats were being flown out.

Report: Cuba Has Purchased over $8 Billion Worth of Food from the U.S. Since 2001

Cuba’s communist regime, which regularly rants about the purported U.S. “embargo” hurting its economy, has purchased over $8 billion worth of agricultural and food products from the U.S. since 2001, the Madrid-based outlet Diario de Cuba reported on Monday.

For decades, the Cuban regime and its allies around the world have incessantly presented a false narrative that the United States’ “embargo” on Cuba is the one and only cause of all of Cuba’s shortcomings — and not the decades’ worth of failed communist policies, brutal repression, and gross mismanagement of the country’s infrastructure that has pushed the island-nation to the brink of complete ruin.

He said construction on the Trump Class USS Defiant – the first US warship to be named after a sitting president – would begin soon, and it was expected to be operational within two and a half years.
