Illegal alien tries to self-deport from US to Canada ends up in jail

She Tried to Leave America. She Entered an Immigration Hall of Mirrors.

Rahel Negassi squeezed her 11-year-old son’s hand as they turned their backs on Buffalo and faced the Peace Bridge. In the distance, they saw the Canadian flag waving from the building ahead.

An ICE agent bent down to remove her ankle monitor. “Good luck!” he said. “We would love for you to stay in the United States — but legally,” she recalled him saying.

“You will never see me again,” she replied.

US State Department Directs Embassies in Canada, Other Countries to Scrutinize Impacts of Mass Immigration

The U.S. State Department has directed its Canadian embassy, as well as its other embassies in the West, to scrutinize the impacts of mass immigration.

The department sent a dispatch to U.S. embassies in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe last week directing them to report on the effects of mass immigration on public safety and human rights.

A senior State Department official speaking on background to The Canadian Press said the United States is not trying to tell other countries how to govern, but rather is cautioning them about importing people from “radically different” cultures.

The future fighter debate

OTTAWA—For the senior brass at the Royal Canadian Air Force, there is no question whatsoever that they want the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning as the replacement for their aging fleet of CF-18 Hornet fighter planes.

They have wanted the F-35, and only the F-35, since this fifth-generation stealth strike fighter was first on the drawing board in 1997.

In 2010, Stephen Harper’s Conservative government announced a sole-source deal to purchase 65 F-35s for the Air Force at a cost of $9-billion for the aircraft, and a total program cost of $16-billion. However, as the F-35 experienced technical teething trouble, and the costs soared, Harper pushed the reset button on the entire controversial procurement.

Minnesota Democrats Defend Somalis amid Massive Fraud Investigations

Minnesota Democrats have sided with the state’s Somali community despite evidence of widespread Somali fraud of taxpayers’ healthcare programs.

Numerous investigations have uncovered billions in fraud among several of Minnesota’s overly generous welfare schemes. The cases of fraud are astounding. In one case, a group called “Feeding Our Future,” run by Somalis, bilked $250 million from the state. In another case, tens of millions were stolen from the state’s autism treatment program, again by Somalis. And in a third situation, more than $550 million was stolen from Minnesota’s coronavirus pandemic relief program. And these are just a few of the investigations finding massive fraud, much of it tied directly to the state’s large Somali community.

What is Cartel de los Soles, which the US is labelling as a terrorist organisation?

The United States has designated the Cartel de los Soles (Spanish for Cartel of the Suns) – a group it alleges is headed by Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, and senior figures in his government – as a foreign terrorist organisation.

Labelling an organisation as a terrorist group gives US law enforcement and military agencies broader powers to target and dismantle it.

In recent months, the US has been ramping up pressure on Maduro, saying his government is illegitimate following last year’s election, which was widely dismissed as rigged. The designation gives it another way to turn up the heat.

GOP lawmaker complains Canada’s defense spending still falls short in the long run

HALIFAX — Republican lawmaker Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina says it’s all good and well that Canada is finally meeting its NATO defense spending commitments, but Canada should make up for two decades of back dues — to the tune of $300 billion.

“Can we do a makeup payment for the 20 years of shortfalls as well?” Tillis told a Saturday panel at the Halifax International Security Forum, a international gathering of defense officials and security professionals.

The only money spent will be used to fortify Festung Ottawa against anticipated popular uprisings.

Insurrection Chic

Democrats now celebrate the very nullificationist tactics they once decried, embracing a neo-Confederate defiance of federal authority to undermine a president they despise.

Is Jeff Davis the Model?

Who is the real, or fictional, inspiration for the new insurrectionary wing of the Democrat Party?

The fictitious Hollywood insurrectionist, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, “James Mattoon Scott” (Burt Lancaster), who in the 1964 film Seven Days in May attempted to overthrow the presidency?

State sponsored terror: Fraud schemes sent Minn. tax dollars to Somali ‘Qaeda’ group

Minnesota is drowning in fraud. Billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen during the administration of Gov. Tim Walz alone. Democratic state officials, overseeing one of the most generous welfare regimes in the country, are asleep at the switch. And the media, duty-bound by progressive pieties, refuse to connect the dots.

In many cases, the fraud has allegedly been perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s sizeable Somali community. Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the al Qaeda-linked terrorist group Al-Shabab.

Judge dismisses cases against ex-FBI Director James Comey, NY AG Tish James

A federal judge dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James Monday, finding that interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan was improperly appointed to her position and “had no lawful authority” to present the indictments of either of President Trump’s longtime enemies.

Attorneys for both Comey and James had argued that Halligan had to be confirmed by the Senate after Attorney General Pam Bondi used up her allotted 120-day interim appointment on Erik Siebert, who resigned after President Trump publicly criticized him for not bringing charges against the former head of the FBI.

‘That doesn’t exist’: Doge reportedly quietly disbanded ahead of schedule

The “department of government efficiency” (Doge) has apparently been dissolved with eight months still remaining on its contract, ending a drawn-out campaign of invading federal agencies and firing thousands of federal workers.

“That doesn’t exist,” office of personnel management (OPM) director Scott Kupor told Reuters earlier this month when asked about Doge’s status, adding that it was no longer a “centralized entity”.

Top Catholics Respond to USCCB’s Immigration Message

America’s bishops stumbled on immigration — and got corrected by Rome.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has made repeated missteps when dealing with the issue of immigration. These include misrepresenting the Catholic Church’s teachings on refugees, mitigating the Church’s teachings on national sovereignty, downplaying the responsibilities of immigrants, and lambasting faithful Catholics for upholding national security and cultural identity. The latest example of the USCCB’s pontificating on the subject has drawn strong responses from numerous prominent Catholics, including the Pope himself!

Teaching Terrorism in American Classrooms

Should American K–12 students be taught, without informing their parents, to sympathize with terrorists? Of course not.

But that’s exactly what’s happening in K–12 schools across the country, thanks to instructional materials supplied by the California-based nonprofit Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) and unearthed by Defending Education.

Risk of War with China Highest Ever as U.S. Pulls Missiles from Japan

On November 17, Japan’s Ministry of Defense notified the Iwakuni city government that the Pentagon had withdrawn its Typhon missile battery from the U.S. Marine Corps air station there.

The battery had been deployed in September for the Japan-U.S. “Resolute Dragon 2025” exercise. This was the first time that the U.S. had installed a mid-range missile in Japan.

China had bitterly complained about the deployment, claiming that the missile system “seriously threatens regional security.”
