Immigration minister denies knowledge of U.S. diplomatic directive to get Canada, allies to lower immigration

Federal Immigration Minister Lena Diab says she’s unaware of a directive that was reportedly sent to the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa from the Trump administration ordering its envoy to press Canada to lower most immigration levels.

Asked if Canada takes advice from the U.S. when setting Canada’s immigration levels, Diab said she consulted for months with economists, department officials and stakeholders across the country when deciding Canada’s immigration levels going forward.

Who in their right mind would discuss immigration with the evil morons governing Canada, a nation they deliberately ruined by mass migration.

U.S. to Press Europe and Other Allies on ‘Mass Migration,’ Document Says

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ordered American diplomats in Europe and in Canada, Australia and New Zealand to press their host governments to restrict most immigration and to file reports if the governments appear to be overly supportive of immigrants, according to a document sent to U.S. embassies and consulates.

Mr. Rubio told the diplomats to emphasize the effects of criminal acts by immigrants to encourage greater entry restrictions, according to the document, which is a diplomatic cable dated Nov. 21. The text of the cable, which was obtained by The New York Times, has not been previously reported.

President Trump says he’ll ‘permanently pause migration’ from all ‘Third World Countries’

President Trump said late Thursday that he intends to “permanently pause” migration from all “Third World Countries,” to allow the US to “fully recover” in a Thanksgiving Truth Social post.

“Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many,” Trump wrote late Thursday night.

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States,” he added.

Thanksgiving — Beyond the First Feast

Uncovering the origins, myths, and meaning behind America’s enduring autumn ritual.

Whenever the holiday season comes upon us, annual traditions and thanksgiving activities are a blessing. Family events center around each special occasion — Hannukah, Christmas, New Year’s — and Thanksgiving is no exception. Yet, while this celebration is quite common for American households, and we grow up anticipating the turkey, stuffing, apple pie — the inevitable food “coma” and football naps — many of us remain curious about how this ritual began — the “origin story” of this beloved holiday.

How the Libs Are Trying to Spin the Shooting of National Guardsmen in DC Is Disgusting

They know they’re going to get wrecked by the normies; that’s conservatives and anyone else who isn’t Trump deranged. The Left’s policies are niche, illiberal, nonsensical, and laughably set up for total failure. So, when it was discovered that the suspect who shot two National Guardsmen was an Afghan national who overstayed his visa, they had to say something.

Minnesota’s Somali Fraud Problem

Ryan Thorpe and Christopher Rufo are to be congratulated for the attention they have drawn to the issue of fraud committed by a large cast of Minnesota Somalis. I have devoted attention to the issue over the past eight years, including in a 2018 article I wrote for City Journal headlined “Mogadishu, Minnesota,” and in daily coverage of the two federal trials conducted so far in the massive Feeding Our Future fraud for Power Line.

The Feeding Our Future case involves some $300 million obtained by blatant, gross, and widespread fraud featuring a cast of mostly Somali perpetrators. Driven manifestly by greed, they wanted to get rich fast. The motive of greed permeates these cases.

Foreign tourists to pay $100 ‘America-first’ fee for national parks

Yogi and Boo Boo Hardest Hit

Millions of tourists from around the world flock to Arizona every year to see the Grand Canyon’s red rock formations. But from January, international visitors will have to cash out an extra $100 to tour the Unesco world heritage site.

It is among 11 national parks, including Yellowstone and Yosemite, that will have “America-first” entry policies.

At present, all visitors pay fees ranging from $10 to $35 per vehicle, with no differentiation according to residency or citizenship.

The Sudden Danger of Sanctuary City Policies

So, for several years now, cities such as Chicago have been leaning quite a bit on sanctuary policies, in an effort to keep undocumented immigrants safe from deportation based on their immigration status.

For those wondering just what a “sanctuary policy” is, it effectively limits cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities, in an effort to assure the protection of those being hunted.

San Francisco immigration judge bursts into tears as she is fired mid-hearing

A California immigration judge wept after being abruptly fired mid-asylum hearing, making her the latest victim of the Trump administration’s deportation crackdown.

Shuting Chen, 41, of San Francisco, was halfway through a hearing on Friday for three Venezuelan siblings who had fled persecution and waited years for their day in court when an email labeled ‘Notice of Termination’ flashed onto her screen.

Muslim groups, other leaders demand Abbott rescind CAIR’s ‘terrorist’ designation: ‘Defamatory’

A group of Muslim and interfaith leaders are urging Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, to reverse his proclamation designating the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a “foreign terrorist organization.”

Texas’ designation is state-level only. It does not carry the legal force of a federal Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) listing, which only the U.S. State Department can issue. Abbott’s proclamation, therefore, does not trigger federal terrorism penalties or authorities.

CIA head reveals National Guard shooting suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal worked with spy agency in Afghanistan as Trump blasts Biden for flying him in during disastrous withdrawal from country

The director of the CIA has sensationally revealed the suspected shooter of two National Guard troops in Washington D.C. worked with the agency in Afghanistan prior to the military’s disastrous withdrawal in 2021.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, was identified as the alleged gunman taken into custody after the horror shoot-out took place on Wednesday just yards from the White House – leaving two soldiers in critical condition.

Late on Wednesday night, CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox News Lakanwal had direct links to the CIA from his work alongside US Special Forces in Afghanistan.

WIECHNIK: Alberta’s oil patch is one coup away from crisis

As the United States masses an aircraft carrier and nearly a dozen other naval warships off the coast of Venezuela, it looks increasingly possible there may be a regime change in Latin America sooner rather than later.

Reports say that as many as 15,000 US sailors and Marines — the largest American deployment in the region since the ousting of Panama’s president Manuel Noriega in 1989 — are involved in the move, which has been officially dubbed by Washington as a “counternarcotics mission.”

The Pilgrims Were English Ethno-Nationalists

After winning the New York City mayoral election earlier this month, Zohran Mamdani declared “New York will remain a city of immigrants, a city built by immigrants, powered by immigrants and as of tonight, led by an immigrant!”

It’s become commonplace among liberals to say things like this. They have gone far beyond the “we’re a nation of immigrants” trope, such that we now routinely hear assertions that “America was founded by immigrants” or “America was built by immigrants.”

It’s Not “Racist” to Notice Somali Fraud

Last week, my colleague Ryan Thorpe and I broke a story about widespread fraud committed by Somalis in Minnesota. Members of the state’s Somali community allegedly participated in complex schemes related to autism services, food programs, and housing, which prosecutors estimate have stolen billions of taxpayer dollars. Even worse, some of the cash has ended up in the hands of Al-Shabaab, a terrorist organization in Somalia.
