Chicago a war zone over ICE raids, and Illinois’s governor doesn’t think there’s a problem

Chicago is awash in insurrection. ICE agents carrying out their duties are now surrounded by violent, Mexican-flag wielding protestors hurling rocks and bottles. They’ve been boxed in by cars, and chased by doxxers, one of whom was shot in a melee yesterday and may have actually been involved in the car attack. A few days earlier, one was knocked down and dragged by a car driven by a violent illegal running from the long arm of the law.

Once a haven for snowbirds, Arizona sees fewer Canadians settling in for the season

Canadians do not appear to be getting over it.

When President Donald Trump returned to office with tariffs and declarations of Canada as the 51st state, snowbirds turned tail across the U.S. That was spring, an easy time to head back north.

Now, however, as fall colours signal winter’s imminent arrival, new data show little sign of Canadians flocking back to the sunny south for the cold months.

Noem: Anarchists Put $10K Bounty on Killing ICE Officers

Anti-American leftist anarchists are doxing, stalking, and targeting federal agents in coordinated plots across major U.S. cities, with some groups offering thousands of dollars to kidnap or kill them, according to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

“So our intelligence indicates that these people are organized,” Noem warned in a Sunday morning TV interview. “They’re getting more and more people on their team, as far as attacking officers, and they’re making plans to ambush them and to kill them.

America has an army of helpers in its drive to mass deport illegal migrants

British Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood recently met with US secretary of homeland security Kristi Noem, a staunch ally of President Trump. By most accounts, the meeting went surprisingly well, given their political differences, as they discussed their common goal of trying to curb illegal immigration.

Mahmood, like Noem, faces significant opposition from progressive judges to deporting illegal immigrants. In the UK, the courts recently blocked a migrant from being deported under the new “one in, one out” agreement with France, marking another instance of judicial obstruction of efforts to control Britain’s borders.

Canadians would be wise to listen to what the U.S. ambassador has to say

Ambassador Pete Hoekstra, the United States’ top diplomat to Canada, has come under fire for being undiplomatic. But this criticism is misguided. At a time when Canadian workers and business leaders face unprecedented uncertainty, we need more candour, not less.

Since arriving in Canada, Mr. Hoekstra has taken part in multiple panels, podcasts, and press interviews, and has been unfailingly frank in explaining U.S. President Donald Trump’s thinking. That’s his job. His role as ambassador is to faithfully reflect his government’s positions.

Ford says PM Carney ‘better fight like hell’ during meeting with Trump next week

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says Prime Minister Mark Carney “better fight like hell” during his trip to Washington, D.C., next week.

“You’re going down there Tuesday. You better fight like hell. Don’t roll over and keep fighting,” Ford said during a rally in front of the Stellantis Assembly Plant in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.

Carney is set to travel to the U.S. capital for a “working visit and meeting” with President Trump, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

I get the feeling Ford is now living in the past.

CAIR Says Muslims Have Right to Vandalize Christian Churches

Muslims vandalized the Uncommon Church in Euless TX with obscene anti-Israel graffiti. Leftists and the Islamist group CAIR quickly came to their defense, complaining that vandalizing churches is really protected by the First Amendment.

After Raunaq Alam, Afsheen Khan and Julia Venzor vandalized the church, the Dallas Observer claimed that prosecuting them “erodes the First Amendment rights of protesters and critics of the nation of Israel.”

The Star of These American Air Shows Will Be … Canada?

It’s the fall air show season, but the biggest attraction — U.S. military planes — will not appear this weekend in Southern California because of the federal government shutdown.

In their place? The Snowbirds, the acrobatic fleet from the Royal Canadian Air Force.

“Thank God Canada is not the 51st state yet,” said Kevin Elliott, the director of the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach, Calif.

‘Golden Dome’ and a U.S. defence pivot create new challenges for Canada

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. administration is set to publish its National Defense Strategy this month at a time when the Pentagon is planning for a leaner, meaner military, and President Donald Trump is inviting Canada to enjoy the protection of Golden Dome defence by becoming the 51st U.S. state.

So, National Post spoke with Jennifer Kavanagh, a senior fellow and director of military analysis at Defense Priorities and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Center for Security Studies, to get her insights on American defence strategy and the road ahead.

Canada will not pony up.

“The Prime Minister’s working visit will focus on shared priorities in a new economic and security relationship between Canada and the U.S.,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

Trump gives Hamas Sunday deadline to accept Gaza peace plan

US President Donald Trump has given Hamas a deadline to accept a US peace plan for Gaza or face “all hell”.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Friday that an agreement must be reached by 18:00 Washington time (22:00 GMT) on Sunday.

The plan proposes an immediate end to fighting and the release within 72 hours of 20 living Israeli hostages held by Hamas – as well as the remains of hostages thought to be dead – in exchange for hundreds of detained Gazans.

The Media Is STILL Running Cover for Democrats on Illegal Immigrant Health Care

It’s no secret that the legacy media operates as the communications arm of the Democratic Party, recycling the same talking points that they could have received straight from DNC headquarters. Whenever congressional Democrats rally around a message, like their latest claim that they’re not pushing free healthcare for illegal immigrants, their media allies dutifully echo the script. And it doesn’t matter how many times someone debunks the claim.
