During a debate on a private members’ bill, Conservative MP Laila Goodridge rose on a point of order, flagging to Assistant Deputy Speaker Alexandra Mendes that it appeared the Liberal MP for Brampton Centre MP Shafqat Ali was participating from “a washroom.”

Elon Musk says he may die ‘under mysterious circumstances’ in cryptic tweet

Elon Musk suggested he might die “under mysterious circumstances” in a cryptic tweet that appeared to be referring to a threat by the chief of Russia’s space agency.

“If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya,” Musk said in a tweet Sunday night.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO posted the foreboding tweet shortly after he shared a message from Dmitry Rogozin, who accused him of being “involved in supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communication equipment.”

Michigan man sued after technician accidentally killed mechanic with his Jeep

A Michigan man is being sued after a technician who didn’t know how to drive a stick shift accidentally killed a mechanic from behind the wheel of the defendant’s car.

Although Sergio Enrique Diaz-Navarro wasn’t behind the wheel of the red 2019 Jeep Wrangler on that day in March 2020, the family of the employee who was killed is suing him for negligence and is hoping to receive more than $15 million in damages.

Germany: Woman sentenced for poking holes in partner’s condoms

A court in western Germany found a woman guilty of sexual assault and handed her a six-month suspended sentence for purposefully damaging her partner’s condoms, German media reported.

In handing down the ruling, the judge said the unusual case was one for Germany’s legal history books — representing an instance of criminal “stealthing,” but this time carried out by a woman.

Five healthy children aged 10 and under have died in mysterious hepatitis outbreak in the US: 109 cases have been identified in 25 states and 14% of infected kids have needed liver transplants, CDC announces

Five healthy children have died in the unexplained hepatitis outbreak and more than 100 cases have been spotted leading to 15 liver transplants, the CDC revealed today.

The agency’s deputy director for infectious diseases Dr Jay Butler announced the grim tally Friday, adding that the children were all under 10 years old and had fallen sick since October.

More than nine in ten patients had been hospitalized, he said, and all had previously been healthy and were not suffering from any underlying conditions. The mysterious hepatitis has been reported in 25 states.
