The Border Is Open, and al-Qaeda Is Calling on Jihadis to Come In

Old Joe Biden’s handlers have essentially erased the Southern border, and as a result, illegals are streaming in at a rapid clip. Even the New York Times, a reliable Leftist propaganda organ, admitted last October that “migrants were encountered 1.7 million times in the last 12 months, the highest number of illegal crossings recorded since at least 1960.” A new record could be set in 2022, as the UK’s Daily Mail reported Thursday that “more than 170,000 migrants are waiting on the Mexican-side of the U.S.-Mexico border to cross and claim asylum” once the Biden administration trashes, as it is expected to do, Title 42, a Trump-era provision that allowed illegal migrants to be expelled during the COVID-19 hysteria. And as all this is unfolding, al-Qaeda has published a new online magazine encouraging jihad terrorists to immigrate to the United States and commit massacres here. It looks as if yet another Biden-caused disaster is in the offing.

After Ukraine, how will the world replace Russia’s oil products?

As Boris Johnson flew to the Gulf this week to ask for more oil to replace supplies from Russia, he was accused by the Labour leader, Keir Starmer, of “going cap in hand from dictator to dictator”.

At the same time, a report produced by the International Energy Agency (IEA) underlined just how limited the options are for any economy seeking to replace Russian crude and other oil products.

How is it possible that Canada is not mentioned among other nations as a viable source of oil?

Was it really about vaccine mandates — or something darker? The inside story of the convoy protests

For three weeks this winter, a so-called “Freedom Convoy” delivered thousands of demonstrators into downtown Ottawa, turning them into an occupying force that snarled daily life in the nation’s capital and dominated the national conversation.

But who were the demonstrators, really — and what were they after?

Many of them positioned the protest as a fight against vaccination mandates for cross-border truckers. Others saw it as a campaign against pandemic restrictions more broadly. No doubt the occupation was many things to many people. But for several of its organizers, the protest was the culmination of years of work, their best chance yet to coalesce a movement around their preferred conspiracy theories and a violent anti-government ideology.

… The move follows public outcry over Sharma’s remarks during the opening of the B.C. Tourism and Hospitality Conference in Richmond on March 9.

Sharma asked the women in the room to stand and be honoured for International Women’s Day, but then after a round of applause told them to “go clean some rooms and do some dishes,” according to people in the audience.

How vaccination status might predict views on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Unvaccinated Canadians are about 12 times more likely than those who received three doses to believe Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was justified, according to a new survey by national polling firm EKOS.

The poll found 26 per cent of those who identified as unvaccinated agreed the Russian invasion is justified, with another 35 per cent not offering an opinion. This compared to only two per cent of surveyed Canadians who said they had three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and who supported the attack, and four per cent who offered no view.

… The study concludes the results point “to the highly corrosive influences of disinformation.”

… Unvaccinated Canadians are also more likely to have a profound distrust of government, science and professional health experts, Graves said, and are more likely to support the protest convoy that occupied Ottawa for nearly a month.

“So the pattern was really clear that disinformation was not just a curious feature. It was, I think, a causal ingredient of vaccine resistance.”

HMA is your friend.

I conducted my own poll of me and my cat and found journalists were inclined to lie about the Convoy.

Rex Murphy: Putin is surely trembling over Canada’s ‘convening’ power

Canada “is a middle-sized power and what we’re good at is convening.”

When the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in lieu of any increased Canadian presence in the alarming crisis in Ukraine, makes a boast of Canada’s “convening power,” it is to wonder, perhaps even mandatory to ask, is Mélanie Joly serious? As bombs rain down, cities are pulverized, all canons of international behaviour outraged, we brag of a power to “convene?”

U2’s Bono has been ridiculed online for writing an ‘unhinged’ poem about Ukraine after it was read out by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on St. Patrick’s Day.

The 61-year-old rock superstar’s poem was unveiled by Pelosi at the White House’s annual ‘Friends of Ireland’ luncheon yesterday.

Bewildered guests were treated to such lines as: ‘They struggle for us to be free/ From the psycho in our human family/ Ireland’s sorrow and pain/ Is now the Ukraine/ And saint Patrick’s name now Zelensky.’
