Bacon may disappear in California as pig rules take effect

In a statement the Pigs have chosen to remain neutral on the issue.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Thanks to a reworked menu and long hours, Jeannie Kim managed to keep her San Francisco restaurant alive during the coronavirus pandemic.

That makes it all the more frustrating that she fears her breakfast-focused diner could be ruined within months by new rules that could make one of her top menu items — bacon — hard to get in California.

That’s a great reason to leave Dumpsterfornia.

Why Liverpool really lost its UNESCO World Heritage Status

UK Police Pledge to ‘Promote Pronoun Awareness‘ in Cringe Pride Video

Rather than pledging to tackle violent crime in Liverpool, the Merseyside Police force have released a video in which officers promised to “promote pronoun awareness” for the city’s LGBT Pride weekend.

While Pride Month was celebrated in June already, Liverpool is putting on a virtual LGBT Pride celebration this weekend, sponsored by the increasingly woke Barclays Bank.

Common sense is also lost in Liverpool.

Grifter Shaun King lives lavishly in lakefront New Jersey home

Talcum X

…King has been dogged for years by allegations of shady dealings in his charitable efforts in movements he has founded — including a lack of transparency in money he has raised for several criminal justice initiatives he has backed.

Fellow activists and those who worked with him raising cash for everything from Haitian orphans to the families of black men killed by police, have repeatedly raised questions about King’s leadership, and, in some cases, asked where the donations have gone.

Olympic shooter accused of being member of Iranian terrorist group after winning gold medal

A Korean veteran shooter told reporters this week that having an Iranian athlete accused of being a terrorist compete at the Tokyo Games is “absurd and ridiculous,” adding pressure on the International Olympic Committee to investigate the allegations.

International critics have accused Javad Foroughi, who won gold in the 10-meter pistol on Saturday, of being a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a powerful paramilitary organization considered by the United States as a terrorist group. The IOC has challenged critics to show proof of his alleged ties to the IRGC, but it’s still unclear if any such evidence would surface.

Cruel Canada! The immigrants are lonely!

Calls for action, more data after Statistics Canada reports increased loneliness for immigrants

A new report by Statistics Canada about increased instances of self-reported loneliness among immigrants is sparking calls for additional data and action to address the issue.

In a recently released article by the federal agency, researchers examined data gathered during the 2018 general social survey as well as information through other sources to assess the loneliness among immigrants and those who were born in Canada.

“Recent and long-term immigrants reported higher levels of loneliness than the Canadian-born. Moreover, loneliness did not appear to be alleviated by the length of stay in Canada,” researchers noted in the document.

I blame white supremacy and the patriarchy.

Rowan Williams Declares Greta Thunberg a Modern-Day Prophet

Not that his nutty view of Greta makes him an outlier in the Anglican ranks.

If you look up Rowan Williams on Wikipedia, you’ll find out that he’s actually Rowan Douglas Williams, Baron Williams of Oystermouth, PC (member of the British Privy Council), FBA (Fellow of the British Academy), FRSL (Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature), FLSW (Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales). He was Archbishop of Canterbury, i.e., head of the Anglican Communion, including the Episcopal Church in the United States, from 2002-2012. Before that, he was pretty much a standard issue lefty clergyman of the ‘68 generation. He supported unilateral nuclear disarmament in 1980s and after witnessing the 9/11 attacks in New York personally, wrote of Al-Qaeda that it had “serious moral goals” and that calling it evil was not useful.

Proportionately More Brits Who Went To Fight ISIS Have Been Charged With Terror Offences Than “Brits” Who Fought For ISIS

Why have the Brits who joined ISIS suffered no consequences?

Just three per cent of those who sided with the Islamist death cult have been convicted of terror offences.

Here’s a shocking statistic: a higher proportion of the Brits who went to Syria to fight against ISIS have been charged with terror offences compared with the Brits who went to fight for ISIS. Yes, if you risked your life to fight alongside the Kurds against the barbaric Islamic State, you are statistically more likely to be found guilty of terrorism than if you went to Syria to join the Islamic State and partake in its deranged war of hate and terror. Surely nothing captures the moral disarray of 21st-century Britain better than this.

Seriously, bullets are cheaper than trials.

FBI probe shows amount of chemicals in Beirut blast was a fraction of original shipment

July 30 (Reuters) – The amount of ammonium nitrate that blew up at Beirut port last year was one fifth of the shipment unloaded there in 2013, the FBI concluded after the blast, adding to suspicions that much of the cargo had gone missing.

As the first anniversary approaches on Aug. 4, major questions remain unanswered, including how a huge quantity of ammonium nitrate – which can be used to make fertiliser or bombs – was left unsafely stored in a capital city for years.

‘Craving a vegan sausage roll now!’: Anti-vaxxers go plant-based as law firm says it could be illegal to force Covid jab on vegans

Anti-vaxxers have vowed, perhaps jokingly in some cases, to go plant-based after a British law firm said vegans could be exempt if companies decide to implement compulsory Covid-19 vaccination rules.

On Thursday, law firm Lewis Silkin told The Telegraph that it was likely ethical vegans would be protected by employment law if employers were to implement rules mandating vaccinations for their staff.
