A Democratic representative is facing calls to give up her $1.1 million Martha’s Vineyard home after she declared that ‘we are all on stolen land.’

Ayanna Pressley took to social media on Monday to share a controversial message about Indigenous Peoples’ Day, also known as Columbus Day.

‘We are all on stolen land. And while Republicans try to whitewash American history, we acknowledge our country’s role in inflicting trauma on our Indigenous neighbors,’ the Boston congresswoman wrote on X.

Pressly is also a wealthy landlord.

Issmat Al-Akhali had plans to expand his Halifax student residence business to other locations in Canada given that his Granville Hall residence had a wait list teeming with students.

He was on track to add another residence in the Nova Scotia capital and develop one near the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown. His long-term goal was to expand outside of Atlantic Canada.

Yea we should definitely swamp the country with 3rd World migrants so this guy can rent them rooms.

That’s up five points from last year. To many, this seems a mark of progress: more public trust in science, more protection for the vulnerable. But before congratulating ourselves on our civic virtue, we ought to ask a harder question: what kind of society are we becoming when we endorse the state’s right to inject anybody – even children whose parents object — against their will?

A Palestinian man who raped a 13-year-old boy before beating him to death with an iron bar is among the prisoners to be freed by Israel under the hostage deal.

Ahmed Mahmed Jameel Shahada was put behind bards in 1989 after luring teenager Oren Bahrami to a monastery in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, before raping him and beating him to death.

Oren’s parents, from south of Tel Aviv, reported him missing in April 1989. Detectives working on the case initially suspected he had been kidnapped by terrorists, after finding his abandoned bike in a Jaffa port.

It’s time to lower the voting age in Canada to 16. Here are the many reasons why says some loon at The Star

For the sake of our democracy it’s time for Canada to lower the voting age.

I can already hear some of you objecting, “16-year-olds aren’t old enough to vote, they won’t take it seriously.” But, give me a minute.

When I was 16 I couldn’t wait to have my driver’s license. I was at the motor vehicle branch on my birthday. I’ve been driving ever since. Driving a car is serious business. I also had a part-time job at 16 and paid taxes. Lots of 16- and 17-year-olds today have their driver’s license and pay taxes on the income from their part time job.

A Green Party loon no less.

It’s October 2027, and the poly-crisis that financial markets have long feared is unfolding at speed. Vladimir Putin has made strong gains in his war against Ukraine and has begun massing troops at Europe’s borders in readiness for invasion of one or more of the Baltic states.

In the Far East, China’s Xi Jinping is openly preparing for his long-promised assault on Taiwan, emboldened both by Putin’s success and Donald Trump’s drubbing in the congressional midterms, which have significantly reduced the US’s scope for effective retaliation.

Some cheerful news for a change.
