Environmental activist Greta Thunberg will today launch a second Gaza-bound ‘Freedom Flotilla’, just weeks after she was detained in international waters by Israel.
Thunberg, 22, will launch the Global Sumud Flotilla from Barcelona with the aim of delivering aid to the people of Gaza, who have been pushed into famine by Israel’s retaliatory incursion into the Strip.
Her first attempt to reach Gaza in June after setting off from Italy was thwarted by Israeli forces, who boarded the vessel in international waters and detained her.

The cash is burning, too.
Millions of dollars raised to help victims of the 2025 California wildfires have ended up in the coffers of unrelated nonprofits pushing a variety of progressive causes, a Washington Free Beacon review found. Some of the groups that have received funds explicitly exclude white people from their services, while others advertise programs for illegal aliens.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seriously injured in a freak car accident in New Hampshire on Saturday night, a rep said.
Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized with a fractured vertebrae and multiple cuts and bruises, including injuries specifically to his left arm and lower leg, after his rent-a-car was hit from behind, spokesman Michael Ragusa said Sunday.
“Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident. He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety,” said Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security.

The mayor of Chicago is planning to sign an executive order on Saturday outlining how the city will attempt to resist Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, according to reports.
Brandon Johnson will set out guidance for the city’s agencies and law enforcement, CNN reported, “in the midst of escalating threats from the federal government”.
Last week, the White House requested that a US military base on the outskirts of Chicago be made available to assist with immigration operations, as the Trump administration plans a broader takeover of Democratic-run “sanctuary cities”.

From sea to shining C-minus, the authorities do not trust Canadians, and we trust them not to. Nova Scotia banned walking in the woods lest we dunces set the place ablaze with incandescent hiking boots, while Vancouver banned teaching your own kid to swim in city pools. Welcome to government of the expert, by the expert, for the expert.
It’s a dangerous convergence of bog-standard public-sector arrogance with a general modern attitude of Machbarkeit, the notion that anything developed through trial-and-error, human or even evolutionary, can be done better by experts using abstract logic and linear algebra.
