Mohammedan Climate Nutter Latest Flavor of “Canadian Terrorism”

Ex-pilot called himself messiah on climate-change mission, day before alleged hijack

The day before the suspected hijacking of a light aircraft triggered a security scare at Vancouver’s airport this week, former commercial pilot Shaheer Cassim posted on social media that he was a “messenger of Allah” sent to save humanity from climate change.

A 39-year-old man with the same name has now been charged with hijacking, constituting terrorism, over the incident on Tuesday that saw Norad scramble F-15 fighter jets before the light plane safely landed.

Notes on the passing scene — Taliban, Canada, and John Kerry admitting Trump was right all along

It’s a weird world out there and here are some semi-random thoughts:

A 45-year-old Afghan man allegedly attempted to marry a 6-year-old girl in Helmand Province.

Amu.tv reported that the youngster had allegedly been sold by her father to a man who already has two wives, but the kind-hearted Taliban stepped in and arrested both men involved. (Yes, “kind-hearted” was sarcastic.) The Taliban brought no charges against the men but are making the prospective groom wait until the girl is 9 before taking her home, according to local media.

Poets, DJs and DEI officers? Britain’s ‘skilled’ visa list is a joke

If we thought the UK’s immigration system couldn’t get any more farcical, then the Labour government has managed to prove us wrong once again.

The Telegraph has revealed that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) ‘experts’ can enter the UK on a ‘skilled worker’ visa. These visas allow holders to remain in the UK for up to five years. They are supposed to help British firms plug critical skills shortages in the labour market that would otherwise go unfilled. In practice, however, it seems that just about any job you can imagine can qualify for a visa.

A Generation So Lonely, It Fell in Love With Furniture

From soulmates to simulated love with a smoothie maker.

A new game lets you romance your refrigerator.

Not exactly a sentence you’d expect to write in 2025. Then again, maybe it is. Maybe this is exactly where we were always heading. Date Everything arrived this summer like a fever dream made manifest. Players don mysterious “Dateviator” glasses. Suddenly, household objects transform into potential lovers. Your lamp becomes a narcissistic influencer. Your couch develops commitment issues. Your washing machine exudes pure sex appeal. The premise sounds bonkers. It is, but it’s also prophetic.
