Have you ever considered that we should be kinder to looters?
They steal because they need things. We need to treat them with compassion. pic.twitter.com/BjW9R79zt2

The taxpayer subsidized “journalists” at NPR are propping up Rachel Accurso, a viral children’s “educator,” as the “modern-day” Mr. Rogers.
Except “Ms. Rachel,” his woke re-incarnation, is a sheltered middle aged woman who turned what seems to be a histrionic personality disorder into a $10 million internet grift.

Vegetarians, it turns out, are not just keen on saving the planet — they’d quite like to run it too.
A study has found that vegetarians, on average, have a greater desire to wield power than their meat-eating counterparts. They were also more likely to value social status and less inclined to prize kindness and conformity.

Live from New York — it’s Rat-urday Night!
A fed-up Brooklyn tenant battling a rat infestation in his Crown Heights apartment has been live broadcasting the pests’ nightly antics to pressure his landlord to take action.
For the last two weeks, Adam Schleser’s live “Rat Cam” has captured rodents scurrying over beams, screeching, chewing, and even fighting — all above the kitchen ceiling of his apartment in the six-building Brooklyn Jewish Hospital apartment complex.
Toronto … soon.

“Cockroach milk has captured the attention of scientists and nutritionists alike. In 2016, researchers studied a milk-like substance produced by female Pacific beetle cockroaches to nourish their young…”

Joachim Streit has never stepped foot in Canada. But that hasn’t stopped the German politician from launching a tenacious, one-man campaign that he readily describes as “aspirational”: to have the North American country join the EU.
“We have to strengthen the European Union,” said Streit, who last year was elected as a member of the European parliament. “And I think Canada – as its prime minister says – is the most European country outside of Europe.”
Streit had long imagined Canada as a sort of paradise, home to dense forests that course with wide, rushing rivers. But after Donald Trump returned to power, launching much of the world into a trade war and turning his back on America’s traditional allies, Streit began to cast the northern country in a new light.
Oh yea, let’s hitch our wagon to Communism’s zombie offspring.

Iranian officials have expanded a ban on dog walking to a swathe of cities across the country, citing public order and health and safety concerns.
The ban – which mirrors a 2019 police order that barred dog walking in the capital, Tehran – has been extended to at least 18 other cities in the past week. Transporting dogs in vehicles has also been outlawed.
Dog ownership has been frowned upon in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, with dogs viewed as “unclean” by authorities and a legacy of Western cultural influence.

The City of Hamilton, a champion of selective inclusivity, has a problem with a Christian Heritage Party (CHP) billboard advertisement it claimed could make a transgendered person at a bus stop feel “threatened.”
WARNING: The political ad in question will grievously offend the biologically confused.

I always think we have hit rock bottom when it comes to German speech crime prosecutions, but then somehow things always manage to get worse.

‘Pretendian’ or ‘victim’: Inside this would-be Ontario lawyer’s attempt to remake a life built on fraud
Before the headlines, Nadya Gill’s life was filled with promise.
Originally from the GTA, she played on Canada’s youth national soccer team. At 16, she entered university in the U.S. on athletic scholarships, where she excelled on the pitch and in the classroom and earned the first of five post-secondary degrees. A coach told a Connecticut TV station her competitive drive could easily lead her to becoming a lawyer, a doctor, or “a UN ambassador.”
She graduated from law school, where she won awards and worked summers at the Crown law office in Toronto. After passing the bar exam, she landed a dream articling position at a sports law firm. It allowed her to work remotely and play professional soccer in Norway.

Tehran has denounced the US travel ban on Iranians and citizens of 11 other mostly Middle Eastern and African countries, saying Washington’s decision was a sign of a “racist mentality”.
Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday reviving sweeping restrictions that echo the US president’s first-term travel ban, justified on national security grounds after a firebomb attack at a pro-Israel rally in Colorado.
Alireza Hashemi-Raja, the foreign ministry’s director general for the affairs of Iranians abroad, called the measure – which takes effect on 9 June – “a clear sign of the dominance of a supremacist and racist mentality among American policymakers”.
I call it good common sense.
