Doctors Were Preparing to Remove Their Organs. Then They Woke Up.

A federal investigation found a Kentucky nonprofit pushed hospital workers toward surgery despite signs of revival in patients.

Four years ago, an unconscious Kentucky man began to awaken as he was about to be removed from life support so his organs could be donated. Even though the man cried, pulled his legs to his chest and shook his head, officials still tried to move forward.

Now, a federal investigation has found that officials at the nonprofit in charge of coordinating organ donations in Kentucky ignored signs of growing alertness not only in that patient but also in dozens of other potential donors.

At WorldPride D.C., NPR Forwards Unfounded LGBTQ Panic Over at Trump

National Public Radio “breaking news” reporter Ayana Archie served up an example of tax-funded public media once again going beyond traditional liberal media support for gay rights and going full throttle to throw unprofessional, anti-journalistic support to the entire alphabet movement (LGBTQIA….) in an article posted to NPR Thursday, “The LGBT community shows up for WorldPride in D.C., despite some worries about Trump.”

Archie piled on the melodrama right off the bat.

Quebec Court Says Laws Restricting Children to 2 Parents Must be Changed

A Superior Court judge has ruled that children in Quebec can have more than two parents and ordered the province to revise its laws within 12 months to legally acknowledge other family dynamics.

The issue was brought forward by La Coalition des familles LGBT+ and three separate “multi-parent families” who say laws in the province that restrict parenthood of a child to two individuals discriminates and infringes on the rights of security of the person, integrity of the person, freedom, dignity, and privacy.

CHARLEBOIS: Where’s the beef? Priced out of the Canadian grill

With summer weather finally settling in, Canadians are returning to a familiar ritual — firing up the barbecue. But as they approach the meat counter in search of steaks and burgers, many are encountering a far less familiar reality: Shockingly high prices. This year, the meat aisle has become a case study in supply-side economics and market dysfunction.

Since January, according to Statistics Canada, beef prices have surged at an alarming pace. Striploin is up 34.2%, top sirloin 33.7%, and rib cuts nearly 12%. Pork rib cuts and chicken breasts have each risen 5.9%, and even meatless burger patties are 6.8% more expensive. While all proteins in the so-called “meat trifecta” have climbed, beef leads the charge — by a wide margin.

How bitter Trump-Musk feud escalated – and what happens next

What happens when the richest person and the most powerful politician have a knock-down, drag-out fight?

The world is finding out – and it’s not a pretty picture. Donald Trump and Elon Musk have two of the biggest megaphones, and they have now turned them on each other, as a disagreement has ballooned into a war of words.

Trump has threatened Musk’s voluminous business dealings with the federal government, which form the lifeblood of his SpaceX programme.

I am sorry and annoyed this happened. It’s an unneeded distraction that plays into Democrat hands.

Isn’t Popeyes Halal? … ‘Unsafe’: Popeyes accused of storing chicken in residential garages in Ontario

A lawsuit filed against Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is accusing the fried chicken chain of buying “unsafe” meat from an unauthorized seller that was allegedly storing and packaging raw chicken in residential garages in Ontario.

The lawsuit was filed at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on May 26 by ADP, a former raw chicken supplier to Popeyes. The company alleges they lost their contract with Popeyes after bringing forward its concerns about the “unsafe supply” of products.

I find it very interesting that the company accused of supplying the Garage Chicken is not not named in the article. Popeyes is Halal.
