Trudeau and his handlers scored a home run with their decision to have him appear on “The Late Show(opens in a new tab)” with Steven Colbert. Justin Trudeau is one of the most recognizable leaders on the world stage and in this interview, he was playing to one of his strengths: star appeal.

His previous foray onto a stage with American talk show host Hasan Minhaj(opens in a new tab) had turned into a nightmare for Trudeau. He was quizzed on everything from his construction of the Trans-Mountain pipeline to his interference in the prosecution of SNC Lavalin.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he wants to build a tunnel under Hwy. 401

Premier Doug Ford says he wants to build a tunnel under Highway 401 that would stretch roughly from Brampton to Scarborough.

Citing increasing gridlock and little room for highway expansion at a news conference Wednesday morning, Ford says his government will begin studying the technical feasibility of building a tunnel stretching across the GTA under the country’s busiest highway.

“This tunnel and expressway will cut gridlock support economic growth and help get people moving faster,” Ford said.

Premier Doug Ford is being scolded for telling homeless people in encampments to “get off your a-s-s and start working like everyone else.”

Experts in the field said Ford has made the mistake of assuming that people living in tents in parks don’t want to work when their precarious status often makes it difficult to find and keep employment.

BBC told director of Nova massacre film to not describe Hamas as terrorists

Yariv Mozer, the director of We Will Dance Again, a documentary film about the Nova festival, said that he had to agree with the BBC to not describe Hamas as a terrorist organization if he wanted it to air, according to an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.

The film, which is set to broadcast on the BBC on Thursday, contains unseen footage of the Hamas massacre at the festival on October 7. It was commissioned by BBC Storyville.

What is CBC calling Hamas nowadays? Victims of White Supremacism? Child soldiers? Abused women? Transgender children in need of affirmative care?

AOC and Omar Melt Down Over Detonations of Hezbollah’s Pagers

Far Left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) wasted no time condemning Israel for the simultaneous explosion of pagers across Lebanon last week targeting Hezbollah users of the communication devices. “Israel’s pager attack in Lebanon detonated thousands of handheld devices across of a slew of public spaces, seriously injuring and killing innocent civilians,” she posted on X. “This attack clearly and unequivocally violates international humanitarian law and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict.”

Conservatives ‘won’t engage’ with CTV until network admits ‘malicious editing’ of clip

Conservative MPs will refuse to engage with CTV and its reporters until the network acknowledges that a recent clip of leader Pierre Poilievre was “maliciously” edited.

While CTV issued an apology, Poilievre’s director of media relations Sebastian Skamski said it wasn’t good enough.
