Canada’s government should review breathalyzer laws to protect minorities, defence lawyer says

… In 2018, the federal government changed the law to allow police to use breathalyzer tests at traffic stops even if they don’t suspect a driver is visibly impaired, which paved the way for these new mandatory testing rules.

Defence lawyer Michael Spratt says the feds should revisit this idea because there aren’t safeguards to help protect minorities.

“Police disproportionately pull over racialized and visible minority drivers,” Spratt said, adding that police can use traffic stops as an unfair avenue to search cars and question people, and it’s easy for white drivers to support the change when they’re not getting pulled over several times in a short period.

Nothing has been done either about the duplicitous role played by World Health Organization (WHO), which parroted Chinese Communist Party propaganda about the virus, even after having been informed in writing early on by Taiwan that the virus was highly transmissible.

Yacht sinks after latest incident involving orcas in strait of Gibraltar

An unknown number of orcas have sunk a yacht after ramming it in Moroccan waters in the strait of Gibraltar, Spain’s maritime rescue service has said, in the latest in a series of similar incidents involving the animals.

The vessel, Alboran Cognac, which measured 15 metres (49ft) in length and carried two people, encountered the highly social apex predators, also known as killer whales, at 9am local time on Sunday.

The passengers reported feeling sudden blows to the hull and rudder before boat started taking on water. After alerting the rescue services, a nearby oil tanker took them onboard and transported them to Gibraltar. The yacht was left adrift and eventually sank.

Just as Hamas targeted young children, even babies, for unthinkable torture and death, pro-Hamas demonstrators in Berkeley targeted a Jewish Community Center (NOT an Israeli facility) with preschool students in class as they chanted slogans through a bullhorn and marched. Even worse, the students who walked out were reportedly accompanied by two vice principals from the Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School as they intimidated the innocent toddlers, guilty solely of being Jewish.

Queers for Palestine group block entrance of Walt Disney World in Orlando, prompting foul-mouthed argument with driver

A Queers for Palestine chapter created a human barricade to the entrance of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, prompting a bystander to lose his cool.

On Saturday, the Central Florida branch of Queers for Palestine pulled their cars in a blockade on Interstate 4, claiming that Disney supported genocide.

An angry driver became so irate that he got out of the car to yell at the demonstrators, three of whom were arrested 11 minutes later by Florida cops.

PBS Slights Non-Protester Rights on Campus: ‘No Right to…Most Convenient Path to Library’

Tuesday’s PBS NewsHour actually brought on a critic of the pro-Hamas protesters currently infesting college campus quads across the country, which so far have gotten a nearly free ride from scrutiny (there’s certainly been little scrutiny of the pro-Biden groups funding them).

New York Times columnist David French is certainly no hard-core conservative — he’s pretty close to PBS regular David Brooks — but his opinion that the “camping” protesters posed a threat to other students and should be removed was a strong counterpoint to PBS’s knee-jerk support of the agitators and its exquisite sensitivity to the radicals’ demands.
