Trudeau ‘absolutely’ best person to lead the Liberals in next election: LeBlanc says

Cabinet minister Dominic LeBlanc insists he’s not planning a leadership campaign to head the Liberal party, should current leader and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resign, seemingly quashing rumours he’s planning to make a move for his boss’ job.

LeBlanc — who serves as the minister of public safety, democratic institutions, and intergovernmental affairs — told CTV’s Questions Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday that Trudeau should “absolutely” remain as Liberal leader in the next election.

Montreal man on the hook for thousands of dollars after a feature on his Tesla caused an accident

George Ghazzoul is warning other drivers about the new Smart Summon feature on Tesla vehicles after his self-driving vehicle side-swiped another in a parking lot.

When Ghazzoul bought a Tesla two years ago, he admitted it wasn’t just the car’s style that drove him; it was his love of technology.

“Really, the selling point for me is the fact you get software updates and you always get new features on the car,” he said.

Australian police kill ‘radicalized’ teen knifeman

Police in Western Australia say they have fatally shot a 16-year-old who allegedly stabbed a member of the public in a car park on Saturday.

The incident took place at around 10 am in Willetton, a southern suburb of Perth. When police arrived at the scene, the teen reportedly refused to put down the knife, and charged at the officers.

Western Australian Police Commissioner Col Blanch told reporters that the suspect was “a Caucasian male” who had converted to Islam. He reportedly called the police himself, warning that he was about to commit an unspecified “act of violence.”

‘Breastfeeding men’ is an Orwellian lie

I thought we had decided, as a society, that women should be free to breastfeed without being gawped at by blokes? That mums should have the right to nurse, wherever they might find themselves, without being irked by dickheads? Well, it seems we’ve changed our minds. It seems we’ve instituted a new rule: that a man’s ‘right’ to hang around feeding mothers counts for more than a mother’s right to feed in peace. And you’ll never guess which ideology is responsible for this trouncing of nursing mums’ dignity? Yep, the trans ideology.

More Star Reporters Have Written About Diagolon Than The Group Has Members

Pierre Poilievre has been accused of flirting with Diagolon. Here’s what the extremist group thinks of that

The question of Pierre Poilievre’s ties — real or otherwise — to an extremist online group known as Diagolon are back in the spotlight with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accusing him of welcoming “the support of conspiracy theorists and extremists.”

But does Diagolon actually support Poilievre? The loosely organized online group trades in virulently racist and antisemitic rhetoric and has been described as “extremist” by the U.S. State Department. It is also not shy about expressing its views.

The insanity at the heart of the Trump trial

THE INSANITY AT THE HEART OF THE TRUMP TRIAL. Perhaps the weirdest, and by far the most unjust, thing about former President Donald Trump’s trial in New York is that we do not know precisely what crime Trump is charged with committing. We’re in the middle of the trial, with Trump facing a maximum of more than 100 years in prison, and we don’t even know what the charges are! It’s a surreal situation.
