Pro-Palestinian protesters say walk by Jewish campaigners should face restrictions

Pro-Palestinian protesters have demanded that a walk organised by a Jewish group in London this weekend is subject to strict police restrictions.

The Campaign Against Anti-Semitism has called for supporters to walk through central London on Saturday, but has insisted it is not a march and so does not need to be cleared by the Metropolitan Police.

But pro-Palestinian activists, who are planning to gather in Hyde Park on Saturday, have demanded “equality under the law” and said that if their gathering is subject to strict police conditions, the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism walk should also be.

One arrested and three injured after reports of school stabbing at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman school in Wales

“Parents of children at Dyffryn Aman school say they have spoken to their children and that the students are being held in lockdown in their classes.

“It’s believed that whatever incident took place has ended, with three ambulances and two air ambulances leaving the scene around half an hour ago.

Ilhan Omar’s daughter Isra Hirsi claims Columbia anti-Israeli protesters were attacked with ‘chemical weapons’ — but it was fart spray

“Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter cried foul over the lack of available information about what happened to the students whom she alleged sprayed “chemical weapons” at the anti-Israel protesters occupying Columbia University last week.

Isra Hirsi, 21, who was suspended by nearby Barnard College over her involvement in the Thursday demonstrations, called the higher education institutions hypocritical for their approach to the unrest.

Motion to allow Hamas rags in Ontario legislature fails for a second time

TORONTO – A few Ontario government members have voted again today to uphold a ban on keffiyehs in the legislature, prompting some people watching question period from the public galleries to put on the scarves.

Legislative security ejected the protesters, who were shouting, “free free Palestine.”

The Speaker of the legislature has ruled that people in the chamber as well as in the building cannot wear keffiyehs, which he says are being worn to make a political statement.

Columbia’s anti-Israel mob is backed by a George Soros fund

Far left groups supporting the Columbia students’ sit in include a group that supported the Hamas attack of October 7 and a George Soros fund.

Tensions continue to escalate at the Ivy League school where hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters are demanding that the institution divest from companies with ties to Israel.

So far, more than 100 demonstrators have been arrested at the ‘Gaza Solidarity Encampment’, which is comprised of a coalition of 116 groups under the umbrella organization Columbia University Apartheid Divest.

Many Culprits Behind Rise of Antisemitism, Including the Media

Over the last several years, Canadian employers have increasingly brought in “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) trainers to rid their workforces of conscious, and even subconscious, racism. On the face of it, who can object to diversity, equity and inclusion? It is like objecting to Santa Claus.

Unfortunately, these workshops too often have been hijacked by radical ideologues who pitted races against each other. The unhappy story of Richard Bilkszto, who committed suicide after alleging he was deemed a racist by one such trainer for observing that Canadians are not more racist than Americans, was simply the publicly exposed tip of that iceberg.

White people must never have been the target of DEI programs if this article is to be believed.

The author has likely never heard of the ADL I suppose.

More right than he knows to include the media.

Jewish groups call for end to funding for Edmonton Pride centre over its response to Hamas attack

Jewish organizations are calling for funding to be stripped from the Pride Centre of Edmonton, arguing that its “egregious” conduct since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel ought to disqualify it from government support.

The demand — and flurry of behind the scenes emails — hint at how tensions over Israel’s war on Hamas is affecting civil society relationships in Canada.

Stacey Leavitt-Wright, the CEO of the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, said in an interview that the Jewish community had attempted to schedule a meeting with the Pride centre to discuss the centre’s social media postings and the sense that it was no longer a safe space for the city’s Jews.

The head of one of Canada’s largest police forces met with a Sri Lankan inspector general of police who two weeks earlier had been found by the South Asian country’s highest court to have “participated in the torture” of an arrested man.

Photos published by Sri Lankan media, including the Ceylon Today, an English-language daily newspaper, show Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah in uniform posing alongside senior Sri Lankan officers on Dec. 29, 2023 at police headquarters in the capital Colombo – a visit a Peel police spokesperson says Global Affairs Canada and the RCMP had been made aware of ahead of time.

Why an Indian men’s rights group is burning underwear

Earlier this month, an Indian men’s rights group launched a campaign that sent social media aflutter.

The NCM India Council For Men Affairs half-burnt their underwear and dispatched it to local politicians to show their discontent, and protest against what they call “anti-male policies” and “women-centric gender-biased laws” in the country.

Stalin museum celebrates the local boy made good

Hung like a wall rug.

Joseph Stalin may have been one of the world’s most bloodthirsty dictators but there is scant mention of this at a museum devoted to his life in his home town in Georgia.

The Stalin Museum in Gori, about 50 miles from Tbilisi, the capital of the Black Sea state, was opened in 1957 next to the small house where the Soviet tyrant was born Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili in 1878. The two-storey building is easy to find — just walk along Stalin Avenue to Stalin Park and you can’t miss it. Outside stands a Stalin statue.

This is just like a Trudeau museum curated by the CBC would be like.
