Israeli Weapon Damaged Iranian Air Defenses Without Being Detected, Officials Say
An Israeli weapon deployed in a retaliatory strike against Iran on Friday damaged a defense system responsible for detecting and destroying aerial threats near Nantaz, a central Iranian city critical to the country’s secret nuclear weapons program, according to two Western officials and two Iranian officials.
The strike, the Western officials said, was calculated to deliver a message to Iran that Israel could bypass Iran’s defense systems undetected and paralyze them, using a fraction of the fire power Iran deployed last week when it launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel. That attack, intercepted by Israel and its allies, caused minimal damage.

A Seattle high school teacher previously accused of berating a student for describing himself as “straight” has been suspended for making pro-Hamas comments – including that the terror attack on Israel was justified and questioning whether women were raped.
Ian Golash, social studies chairman at Chief Sealth International High School, was placed on administrative leave on April 11 after Accuracy in Media, a conservative group that exposes antisemitism on campuses, distributed a video interview with him, the Seattle Times reported.
Ian Golash is an antisemitic public school teacher from Seattle who glorifies Hamas and holds extreme views.

Black Creek Pioneer Village to drop ‘pioneer’ from its name as part of inclusivity plan
Black Creek Pioneer Village is getting a new name later this year along with longer-term plans to give a permanent home to an Indigenous exhibit.
As part of its ongoing work to tell more accurate stories about settlement in 19th-century Ontario, the Village has been collaborating with five southern Ontario First Nations to recraft the stories at the museum — and its next phase includes dropping “pioneer” from its name.
“I look at our society as a piece of fabric: it’s got different threads woven through it,” said Wendy Rowney, general manager at the Village. “What museums should do is make sure all those threads are visible again.”

London’s police service issued a statement on Friday afternoon apologising after Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) boss Gideon Falter was stopped from walking through a pro-Palestine march last Saturday by a Met officer.
The Met’s initial statement accused counter-protesters at the regular rallies of being ‘provocative’ by filming themselves as they turned up on the routes to express their views. Mr Falter maintains he was ‘going for a walk’ after attending synagogue.
Toronto police have arrested counter protesters during the current round of Hamas support marches.
In my own time the TPS either maintained strict zones for each side to occupy if the protest was static, or straight up told you they could not protect you if attacked.
