‘Let it Burn’: Fire Departments Ill-Prepared for EV Boom

They designed a purpose built EV fire pool and it’s still burning.

So electric vehicles are going to save the planet, eh? Somebody forgot to tell Joe Biden something important when he authorized the spending of tens of billions of dollars for EV subsidies, more billions to build charging stations (still not enough), and still more billions to auto manufacturers to “incentivize” the design and building of more and more EV’s. That important bit of information is the fact that electric car fires are darn near impossible to put out.

Pope Francis: Trans Catholics can be baptised and become godparents

The Vatican has given permission for transgender people to be baptised, become godparent and act as witnesses at weddings, drawing applause from liberal Catholics and fierce criticism from conservatives.

In a three-page document signed by the Pope, the Vatican’s doctrinal office also approved baptisms for the children of same-sex couples and gave qualified approval to gay people acting as godparents.

Ottawa plays down British travel advisory that says terror attack attempt in Canada is ‘very likely’

The federal government is playing down a recent British government warning that says an attempted terrorist attack in Canada is “very likely.”

Earlier this month the British government updated its travel advice for citizens visiting Canada, saying that “terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Canada.”

Britain has the same warning level on its travel advisories for the United States and some Western European countries, including France, Spain and Germany. But the British safety and security advice does not apply to all of North America – its assessment of Mexico only says “terrorist attacks in Mexico cannot be ruled out.”

Photographers Without Borders: AP & Reuters Pictures of Hamas Atrocities Raise Ethical Questions

On October 7, Hamas terrorists were not the only ones who documented the war crimes they had committed during their deadly rampage across southern Israel. Some of their atrocities were captured by Gaza-based photojournalists working for the Associated Press and Reuters news agencies whose early morning presence at the breached border area raises serious ethical questions.

What were they doing there so early on what would ordinarily have been a quiet Saturday morning? Was it coordinated with Hamas? Did the respectable wire services, which published their photos, approve of their presence inside enemy territory, together with the terrorist infiltrators? Did the photojournalists who freelance for other media, like CNN and The New York Times, notify these outlets? Judging from the pictures of lynching, kidnapping and storming of an Israeli kibbutz, it seems like the border has been breached not only physically, but also journalistically.

Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benjamin Netanyahu and company

It is clear that PM Trudeau and his diplomats care more about satisfying Israel’s requests than attending to the dire circumstances of hundreds of Canadian citizens in Gaza.

Save for humane Ireland and Scotland, most Western diplomatic corps, including the banal dilettantes who staff Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa and beyond, are wholly owned subsidiaries of Benjamin Netanyahu and racist company.

In the four weeks since the Israeli prime minister began the wholesale destruction of Gaza, Canada’s emissaries – big and small – have been preoccupied with Israel’s interests at the expense of Canadians they purport to serve at home and abroad.

There are no Canadians in Gaza.
