Army: Now that you ask, we really don’t know where all of our weapons are

It’s well known that the United States Army and Marines maintain a significant stockpile of used, damaged, or older models of weapons. Some are damaged and waiting to be safely salvaged, but many of them are still functional, requiring a bit of cleaning or maintenance. Some may be perfectly fine, but they’ve been replaced by newer models. Now that our allies in Israel are rushing to outfit an expanded military force to take on Hamas and their civilians are looking for hardware also, someone finally thought to ask the army about those stockpiles and how we could ship out the usable equipment to help our friends. Morris Dancers – Now Trans-Inclusive

Brighton’s male Morris dancers have dropped the word ‘‘men’’ from their decades-old name to avoid offending trans and non-binary people.

Canada Increasingly Being Left Behind on Allies’ Joint Actions

The latest crisis to shake the planet, Hamas’s terrorist attack against Israel last weekend, has provided one more indication that Canada is increasingly being left out of its allies’ joint actions.

In a joint statement following the attack, leaders of a subgroup of five of the G7 countries, known as the Quint, expressed their “steadfast and united support to the State of Israel” and their “unequivocal condemnation of Hamas and its appalling acts of terrorism.” The signatories included the United States, the UK, France, Germany, and Italy.

Should Government help 70 Canadians stuck in Gaza? Hell No!

OTTAWA – Around 70 Canadians are stuck in the Gaza Strip and have asked for help, federal government officials said Wednesday, but the Canadian government has no way of reaching them without a humanitarian corridor.

For Canadian citizens, permanent residents and their families seeking to leave Israel as violent clashes continue, military flights from Tel Aviv to Athens could begin as early as Thursday evening local time.

Officials who spoke with reporters on background Wednesday afternoon said approximately 1,000 Canadian citizens and permanent residents in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank have asked for consular help and about 700 of them want to get on a flight out.
