California Teachers’ Union Threatens Strike for Free Yoga and Homeless Camps

At this point, California is just trolling us. Granted, the Golden State has been a testing ground and center for research and development for all things progressive. I get it. California is dedicated to rushing headlong into the future, seeking the farthest reaches of the Leftist frontier, and it is doing so to such a degree that it is a wonder the state has not completely fallen off a cliff. But I think that at this point, people there are just randomly selecting causes out of “The Big Bag of Progressive Ideas.”

Swiss Writer Thrown In Jail For Calling Reporter ‘Fat Lesbian’

A Swiss court’s decision to sentence a commentator with 60 days in prison plus thousands in Swiss francs previews the danger that criminalizing “hate speech” poses to free speech.

On Monday, the French-Swiss writer Alain Bonnet, also known as Alain Soral, was sentenced for defamation, discrimination, and incitement of hatred for his criticism of Swiss journalist Catherine Macherel. Bonnet was convicted for comments made on a Facebook video two years ago where he called Macherel a “fat lesbian.”

Chrystia Freeland acknowledges that MPs’ ignorance of history made Nazi controversy even worse

OTTAWA — Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland acknowledged publicly Thursday a truth at the heart of the controversy over a Ukrainian war veteran’s visit to Parliament last month: none of the MPs present realized they were applauding someone who had fought with the Nazis, and their ignorance is a factor in the pain the incident has caused.

Just like she never asked Granpappy what he did in the war.

Legal cocaine is coming, this Canadian startup predicts

A startup just listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange with a business model based on a provocative prediction: legal cocaine is coming.

Safe Supply Streaming Co. is betting on a so-called third wave of policy changes that would decriminalize hard drugs, following similar measures making cannabis and psychedelics more mainstream. It plans to acquire companies that could benefit, such as fentanyl test-strip makers, addiction clinics and energy drinks containing coca leaf, according to chief executive Bill Panagiotakapoulos.

CBC attempts to make the insane demand of cross dressing men to be called women a big issue in the CPC

Pierre Poilievre’s inner circle divided over how to tackle gender issues, sources say

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s advisers are divided on the position the party should take on issues of gender identity and diversity, multiple Conservative sources told Radio-Canada.

While some Conservatives see questions of gender and identity as matters of principle, or as opportunities to make political gains, others fear that the polarizing issue could turn some voters against them in the next election campaign and distract from the pocketbook issues that have been the focus of Poilievre’s messaging.

Radio-Canada spoke with about ten Conservatives anonymously, to allow them to express themselves freely.

It’s not a polarising issue among normal people, to suggest otherwise is just CBC projection.

Don’t forget that the CBC supports pedophilia.

Men are not women.

“Gender affirming health care” is a crime. See how easy that is?

What will Trudeau’s new National Security Council actually do?

In a government lacking geopolitical acumen or vision, few details have been provided.

On Sept. 27, without fanfare, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced changes to cabinet committees, one of which was the establishment of a National Security Council (NSC). This should have been a big deal, built on fulsome public information about the role, composition and structure of this centrally important body, but the announcement was reduced to an uninspiring debut, saying only that the NSC would be “a forum for strategic decision-making and for sharing analysis of intelligence in its strategic context.”

Certificate to own car in Singapore rockets to $106,000

To own a car in Singapore, a buyer must bid for a certificate that now costs more than $106,000 (S$145,000), equivalent to four Toyota Camry Hybrids in the US, as a post-pandemic recovery has driven up the cost of the country’s vehicle quota system to all-time highs.

Singapore has a 10-year “certificate of entitlement” (COE) system, introduced in 1990, to control the number of vehicles in the small city-state, which is home to 5.9 million people and can be driven across in less than an hour.

Donald Trump Followers Targeted by FBI as 2024 Election Nears

The federal government believes that the threat of violence and major civil disturbances around the 2024 U.S. presidential election is so great that it has quietly created a new category of extremists that it seeks to track and counter: Donald Trump’s army of MAGA followers.

The challenge for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the primary federal agency charged with law enforcement, is to pursue and prevent what it calls domestic terrorism without direct reference to political parties or affiliations—even though the vast majority of its current “anti-government” investigations are of Trump supporters, according to classified data obtained by Newsweek.
