Private jet service for rich dog owners condemned by climate campaigners

Environmentalists have condemned a “ludicrous” private jet service that transports wealthy people’s dogs, which this week ran its first flight from Dubai to London.

For £8,166, one way, customers were able to sit with their dogs on their laps and sip champagne as they travelled from Al Maktoum international airport to Farnborough in a Gulfstream IV-SP jet.

The company, K9 Jets, which is run by a husband-and-wife couple from Birmingham, already operates services to New Jersey, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Paris and Lisbon.

I’m not calling for the business to be shut down, I’m fine with it. I wish to know the eco-hypocrites who use it.

Ontario man eats 50 Carolina Reaper peppers in record time

Before trying to set a Guinness World Record by eating 50 of the hottest chile peppers on the planet, Mike Jack set up a picture frame featuring two photos atop a table at a brewery in London, Ontario. One was of Terry Fox, the Canadian activist who in 1980 ran more than 3,300 miles on an artificial leg to raise money for cancer research. The other was of Thich Quang Duc, the Buddhist monk who doused himself in gasoline and set himself ablaze to protest the Vietnamese government’s alleged persecution of Buddhists.

That is amazing.

AOC reignites her war of words with Elon Musk by slamming his Eagle Pass border visit – as billionaire warns ‘some pretty extreme’ migrants including murderers are being allowed into the US

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday accused a Stetson-wearing Elon Musk of taking a ‘joyride’ to the U.S.-Mexico border, after he traveled to the Texan city of Eagle Pass and warned some ‘pretty extreme people’ were arriving illegally.

Musk said he was concerned about stories of violent criminals finding their way into the country among those fleeing poverty and conflict. He discussed stories of people with gang tattoos on their faces being allowed to claim asylum, and said it was ‘insane’.

‘They have murdered someone and they are so proud of having murdered someone they tattoo one tear on their face for every person they have killed,’ said Musk.

WARMINGTON: Homeless enjoy fancy food as Anthony Rota’s garden party cancelled

Let them eat scallops!

Make that seared and crusted scallops, poached shrimp, pulled beef barbacoa and, of course, lamb meatballs.

The homeless will be eating well in Ottawa Friday. Or maybe, more accurately, they are enjoying the spoils of Canada’s parliamentarians.
