Pro-gun lawyer shot with own weapon by MRI scanner dies

A pro-gun lawyer was shot by his own weapon while visiting a hospital when a powerful magnetic field from an MRI scanner set the pistol off.

Leandro Mathias de Novaes was taking his mother for a scan at the Laboratorio Cura in Sao Paulo in January and entered the facility with a concealed handgun.

Despite warnings from staff to remove jewellery and metal objects in the MRI room, Mr Mathias kept his weapon on his waistband.

Federal government appealing court ruling to repatriate 4 ISIS psychopaths’ detained in Syria

The federal government is appealing a Federal Court ruling that ordered the government to repatriate four Canadian men being detained in northeastern Syria in prisons for suspected ISIS members.

In its notice to the Federal Court of Appeal, the government asks that the court order be stayed pending the appeal.

One of the 4 is idiot convert Jack Letts who is a Canadian by mere technicality.

What we know so far about the accused in the Laval daycare bus crash

The man arrested in a deadly bus crash at a Quebec daycare is currently detained in jail awaiting his next court date, according to Crown prosecutor Audrey Roy-Cloutier.

What motivated the attack, which left two children dead and another six injured, is still unclear.

The accused is facing nine charges: two counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and four counts of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm.

What are the odds of a ‘happy family man’ and ‘good neighbor’ who’s ‘never shown signs of distress’ going off like that?

Roger Waters’ UN Speech, Like Meddle, Best Experienced on Acid

“I’d like to be home with my monkey and my dog,” a woman, following a cacophony of voices commenting on fish, repeats immediately prior to the standout track on Roger Waters’s 1987 album Radio K.A.O.S.

“I don’t care,” disc jockey Alan Ladd interrupts. “Shut up! Play the record.”

When he finally does, a glorious sound silences all the bizarre nonsense talk. “Home,” the best number of Waters’s post–Pink Floyd career, combines dated, very-’80s period instrumentation, the great Clare Torry of “Great Gig in the Sky” fame providing a Floyd feel, and the lyricist’s characteristic way of lulling listeners with hypnotic verbal and sonic patterns before snapping everyone out of it with a jarring “When the cowboys and Arabs draw down at noon in the cool dusty air of the city boardroom” climax.
