San Francisco reparations panel pitches $5M — each — to black residents

A San Francisco panel studying reparations has proposed a one-time payment of $5 million to each black resident of the city deemed eligible as recompense for the “decades of harm they have experienced,” according to a report on Monday.

“A lump sum payment would compensate the affected population … and will redress the economic and opportunity losses that Black San Franciscans have endured, collectively, as the result of both intentional decisions and unintended harms perpetuated by City policy,” the San Francisco African American Reparations Advisory Committee said in a draft report issued last month, Fox News Digital reported.

Did Gavin Newsom Kill His Own Mother?

Giving her lethal drugs would be murder.

During his first gubernatorial campaign, now-Gov. Gavin Newsom made a truly shocking — and horrifying — admission.

Newsom told a reporter from the New Yorker that in 2002, when he was on San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors, his 55-year-old mother, who had breast cancer, called to tell him that she had chosen to die by assisted suicide. (“In May, 2002, his mother decided to end her life through assisted suicide,” the New Yorker reports.)

Newsom wasn’t there to pick up the phone, though, because of his political duties.

That time a Christian business donated a pizza party to a police department and public outcry ensued

No good deed goes unpunished. That must be what Patriot Mobile cellphone company, a company owned by conservative Christians, is thinking today. The company donated a pizza party to the Grapevine (TX) Police Department and its staff as a way to show its support and appreciation. Nice gesture, right? Not according to some members of the community.

Michael Shellenberger: No, humans are not causing a ‘sixth mass extinction’

On CBS’s “60 Minutes” earlier this month, scientists claimed that humans are causing a “sixth mass extinction” and that we would need the equivalent of five planet earths for all humans to live at current Western levels.

“No, humanity is not sustainable to maintain our lifestyle — yours and mine,” claimed Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich. “Basically, for the entire planet, you’d need five more Earths. It’s not clear where they’re gonna come from.”

Los Angeles Descends Into Insanity

Oh, what a blessing it is to be retired from the Los Angeles Police Department.

I am proud of the career I had with the LAPD, which spanned more than 30 years, beginning in the early 1980s. It was an era when, though there were many times we asked ourselves, “Who are these morons we’re working for?” was not yet marked by the genuine insanity that afflicts so many currently serving in city government and the upper ranks of the department.

REVEALED: 55% of trans women who have ‘bottom surgery’ are in so much pain they need medical care years later, according to study – and up to a third struggle to use the toilet or have sex

More than half of trans women who have ‘bottom’ surgery are in so much pain years later they need medical attention, a study suggests.

Up to a third of patients also struggled to use the toilet or suffered sexual issues 12 months after the operation, which sees patients transitioning from male to female given a surgically constructed vagina.

Researchers from the Women’s College Hospital (WCH) in Ontario, Canada, analyzed the medical records of 80 patients who sought care from the clinic between three months and five years after having the operation.

Protestors and activists clash at Calgary all-ages drag brunch

There was a noisy protest with a heavy police presence at an all-ages drag event in Calgary on Sunday morning.

Protesters who were against the event were met by LGBTQ2S+ supporters. The two groups were face-to-face outside the Rec Room where the event was set to be held at 10:30 a.m.
Some came with signs saying: Save the Children. Others placards read: We Are Your Children.

It is amazing that the media chooses to advance this perversion, must be a condition of placement on Trudeau’s payroll .

Have we reached ‘peak meat’? Asks The Guardian.

Meat, guns and liquor

Ingrid de Sain is one of thousands of dairy farmers in the Netherlands who says she sometimes lies awake at night. Since a court ruling in 2019 which found the Dutch were breaking European environmental law, her farm of 100 cows in north Holland has been illegal.

Like the other 2,500-plus farmers whose environmental permission was suddenly invalid, she wants a future where she can earn a living and farm legally again.

The Netherlands is first to face questions scientists believe will soon come to all intensively farmed areas: how can we balance the needs of the environment with the way we farm and grow? Have we reached “peak meat”, like peak oil: so much livestock, so much local pollution, that the only sustainable future is in reduction? They’re questions the US, the world’s largest producer of beef, will also soon have to answer.

Disturbing Video Shows Last Moments of Patient’s Life After Mask Dispute at Toronto Hospital

A disturbing video of an altercation between two hospital security guards and Stephanie Warriner—a patient who lost consciousness and never woke up after the interaction over her mask being pulled down under her chin—has been published by various media outlets.

On Jan. 12, CTV News Toronto released new video footage showing 43-year Warriner being confronted by guards Amanda Rojas-Silva, 42, and Shane Hutley, 35, at Toronto General Hospital on May 11, 2020. The two guards were later charged with manslaughter and “criminal negligence by unlawful confinement/restraint causing death.”

German defence minister resigns after blunders

Germany’s Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht has resigned following a series of blunders and PR disasters.

It comes as Berlin comes under rising pressure to allow the delivery of German-built battle tanks to Ukraine.

Ms Lambrecht was mocked for her announcement that Germany was supporting Ukraine by sending 5,000 military helmets.

She was also widely criticised for failing to improve Germany’s notoriously ill-equipped armed forces.

This was despite the provision of €100bn (£88bn) for that task following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
