Muslim media watchdog ‘wrongly labelled terror attack coverage as Islamophobic’

A Muslim media watchdog wrongly labelled coverage of Islamist terror attacks as “Islamophobic”, a report has claimed.

Policy Exchange, a think tank, said that factual news reports of such incidents had been assessed by the Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM) as examples of “Islamophobic, negative” journalism.

Those criticised by the centre, which was originally a Muslim Council of Britain project but is now an independent entity, include the Associated Press, a leading news agency, after it reported on a terror attack in Manchester on New Year’s Eve in December 2018.

Carney’s record on foreign interference is uninspiring, so far

Many of us who have been involved in the fight against foreign interference and in establishing a foreign transparency registry are frustrated by the new government’s apparent lack of concern on this issue. Foreign interference by hostile regimes was not mentioned in the Speech from the Throne read by King Charles, nor in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s mandate letter to cabinet.

Administration Takes Steps to Target 2 Officials Who Investigated Trump

Snakes in the grass.

The Trump administration appears to be targeting officials who oversaw the investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s connections to Russia, examining the actions of the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey and the former C.I.A. director John O. Brennan, according to people familiar with the situation.

John Ratcliffe, the C.I.A. director and a harsh critic of his Democratic-appointed predecessors, has made a criminal referral of Mr. Brennan to the F.B.I., accusing him of lying to Congress, officials said. The bureau is also scrutinizing Mr. Comey for his role in the Russia investigation, other officials said, although the exact basis for an inquiry remains unclear.

BERNARDO: We have an unarmed society protected with nothing… but we have criminals protected by judges

Criminals never face a shortage

On June 18, 2025, President Javier Milei significantly shifted Argentina’s firearms policy.

For the first time in three decades, civilians are permitted to buy and possess semi-automatic firearms. President Milei also lowered the minimum age for firearm ownership from 21 to 18.

What we know (so far) about the plot to seize land in Quebec and the military men allegedly behind it

The RCMP made shocking allegations this week when they accused four men, including Canadian Armed Forces members, of amassing a trove of weapons and explosives as part of a scheme to take over land near Quebec’s capital.

Police called the plot an act of “ideologically motivated violent extremism.”

National security experts say it’s likely the first time that active members of the Canadian military have been charged with terrorism-related offences. The case is also unique due to the sheer scale of weapons and gear seized, and allegations some of the equipment was taken from the military.

Early days so a rough outline.

Will we learn that RCMP undercover officers were the one’s stirring the pot?

The statement by that left wing lunatic RCMP spokesman revealed who the real extremists are and I hope it is admissible in court to good purpose.

Now get a load of these whackos.

Migrant boat bonfire criticised as ‘sickening and racist’

Not racist at all. Racist is demanding a people allow their country to be swamped by the 3rd World.

A row has broken out over plans to burn an effigy of migrants in a small boat.

It forms part of a bonfire in the village of Moygashel, near Dungannon, Co Tyrone, which is to be burnt as part of the annual July 12 celebrations by loyalists.

At the top is a boat filled with 12 dummies wearing life jackets and hi-vis jackets. A sign strapped to the side of the pyre reads “stop the boats”.

Armed forces needs to strengthen screening to weed out extremists: expert

CAF Tampon Brigade – not extremist!

OTTAWA – An expert in extremism says recent arrests linked to an alleged plot to create an anti-government militia show the Canadian Armed Forces needs to do a better job of vetting at the recruitment stage.

University of Alberta political science professor Andy Knight says the fact that two of the four men charged Tuesday in relation to an alleged anti-government plot are active members of the military shows the Canadian Armed Forces isn’t doing enough to screen out extremists.

He says extremism within the forces needs to be “explored and stamped out as soon as possible” so it doesn’t fester and spread.

I hope this expert has campaigned against the extremists at CAF who decided covering the surgical mutilation of mentally ill “Transgender” soldiers was a swell idea, installed tampon dispensers in men’s washrooms and instituted the DEI insanity regime that lays at the root of it all.

Where are the Liberals When Iran Mass-Deports Millions of Afghans?

According to reports from human rights groups, Iran is using the post-war chaos in the country to deport the Afghan minority. Afghans have long been persecuted in Iran, and the government feels now is the time to move them across the border.

Tehran announced that Afghans have until Sunday to leave voluntarily or face arrest and be deported forcefully back to their home country. Estimates say a million have been deported so far in 2025, with more than half a million crossing to Afghanistan since June. Sources say 70% of the people leaving were forcibly removed, while one in every four individuals crossing the border was a child.

Canada Thinks Its Trade Talks With Trump Are Unique. Does That Matter?

Canada’s negotiating team is intensifying trade talks with the United States after they hit a snag last month, and a July 21 deadline to conclude some kind of agreement is looming.

The talks are following a separate track from U.S. negotiations with dozens of other nations. Those had been scheduled to conclude by Wednesday, but President Trump extended their deadline to Aug. 1.

Canadian officials at various levels are communicating with their United States counterparts almost daily, according to Kirsten Hillman, the country’s ambassador to the U.S. and its chief trade negotiator.

Hollywood’s Inability To Create Masculine Stars Is Officially A Problem

Ezra Miller – Normal for Hollywood

Two of the biggest movies this summer are Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning and F1, starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, respectively. The two movies have something interesting in common — both are star vehicles for men in their sixties. Brad Pitt will be 62 later this year, and Tom Cruise just turned 63 last week.

Pitt and Cruise aren’t exceptions, either. The biggest male movie stars are all aging. Clooney is 64 and McConaughey is 55. Ben Affleck, also out with a big action film this year, is 53 next month, and his buddy Matt Damon turns 55 later this year.

Why the Diddy trial failed

Rapper and music producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been a New York City tabloid sensation for my entire adult life. His ‘King of the Players’ reputation was burnished by his public exploits, such as turning up at the 2000 Grammy Awards with then girlfriend J-Lo in a plunging green Versace dress, his involvement in a shooting at a Manhattan nightclub and pictures of his butler walking behind him carrying a parasol to shield him from the St Tropez sun. At no point have I ever thought, ‘He seems like a nice guy’.
