Samidoun exposes failures in Canada’s anti-terror efforts

On Oct. 15, 2024, Canada finally added Samidoun to its list of terrorist entities under the Criminal Code. Many observers had long called for this important step, given the group’s well-documented ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization listed in Canada since 2003. The designation came only after mounting public pressure and disturbing events, including a Vancouver rally in which Samidoun-affiliated demonstrators chanted “Death to Canada” and burned our national flag.

WHY? Because most of the LPC caucus approves.

The real reason Americans hate the media

It is now taken as settled science that the media largely—and this is a professional, expert term—sucks. The reasons for that are well-known and also settled, accepted science. Who would dare be a science denier? The media suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome, they hate America and Americans and they’re among the self-imagined elite who think themselves better than everyone else. They’re not. They’re mostly white but think white people racist. They’re congenital liars and have no idea what a sincere apology might be. Actually, they’re pretty clueless on the whole sincerity thing. They’re the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, yet some of them weakly continue to deny that.

Why we should broadcast hate

The 2025 Glastonbury festival came to a close on Sunday, and tired bodies with sore heads will have packed their tents and trudged home knowing that they have to wait two years until the next festival.

Next year the festival will take a fallow year — the music festival takes a break every five years to give the land of Worthy Farm time to rest, and to give the cows some extended peace and quiet.

‘Nothing was ready’: Inside Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program

A$50-million program the federal government created to help Canadians seriously injured by COVID-19 vaccines is in disarray, current and former staffers say.

The Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP), created during the pandemic, was designed to compensate people who have been seriously and permanently injured by any Health Canada-authorized vaccine administered in Canada on or after Dec. 8, 2020.

Kathy Griffin looks unrecognizable as she steps out in LA after anti-Trump TikTok drama

Kathy Griffin looked nearly unrecognizable as she stepped out in Los Angeles this week amid backlash over her recent anti-Trump TikTok post.

The comedian, 64, was spotted enjoying a walk with a male friend near her $8.8million Malibu home on Tuesday, July 1.

Griffin was noticeably makeup-free and her flaming red hair looked wild as it blew around in the breeze.

Greta: The Poster Child for Progressive Contradictions

Fresh from her attempt to invade Gaza by boat and getting deported by the Israeli Defence Forces for her efforts last month, Swedish political activist Greta Thunberg showed up in Budapest on June 26 to back the global LGBT intifada.

“Today I joined thousands of people on the streets of Budapest, Hungary, where Orbán, in a desperate attempt, banned the Pride march,” she announced on Instagram. “It’s another fascist attack on human rights. Pride is both a protest but also a celebration of love and who we are. Fascists will never be able to ban love.” If she’d made it to Gaza, she would have found out otherwise.

The sweet silence of Pierre Poilievre. Enjoy it while you can … says disturbed man

Could be twins, at least on spiritual plain says Star

To more than a few Canadians, he was as irritating as a neighbour’s leaf-blower, or a yapping dog next door, or a crying baby across the aisle in a plane, or a pneumatic drill on local sidewalks.

His voice hit the ear like an assault, a whining, scolding, hyperpartisan blast of relentless grievance.

As such, the sound of silence of late from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is one of the summer’s blessings.

COOPER: Mask up for sex and other lessons from Canada’s pandemic honour roll

Around the middle of the last century Marx — Groucho, not Karl — declined to join the Friars Club in Hollywood. His classic line: I refuse to join a club that accepts people like me as members. Two recent appointments to the Order of Canada, Theresa Tam and Bonnie Henry, extend the appropriateness of Marx’s remark to the Order of Canada.

Let us start at the top, with the motto of the Order: Desiderantes Meliorem Patriam, ‘They desire a better fatherland (or country.)’

It originally appeared in St. Paul’s epistle to the Hebrews, Ch. 11:16.

These are just handed out to friends and family it seems. Crackerjack box distribution would be more fair.

Bombshell CIA Report Exposes How Obama’s Team Framed Trump

The new CIA assessment released this week is nothing short of a bombshell—a long-overdue confirmation of what conservative media has been saying for years: The Obama administration, with the eager help of its top intelligence brass, orchestrated an unprecedented operation to cripple Donald Trump’s presidency before it even began. This isn’t some fevered speculation or partisan rumor.

The CIA’s own review lays out, in damning detail, how former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper, and former FBI Director James Comey took “unusual” and direct control over the infamous Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that became the cornerstone of the Russia collusion hoax.

Who really built this country?

Barn raising in Lansing, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Anyone who has visited Canada or Australia in recent years might have noticed an interesting new tradition. This is the trend for issuing a ‘land acknowledgement’ at the start of any public event. Before discussion gets under way, some bureaucrat or other will get up and note that we are all fortunate enough to be on the land of X, and then garble the name of some not-especially-ancient tribe. The moment gives everyone a feeling of deep meaning and naturally achieves nothing.

Even our King indulged in some of this in May when he opened the latest session of the Canadian parliament. Before getting down to the meat of his speech, Charles said: ‘I would like to acknowledge that we are gathered on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people.’ You would have thought that by dint of his being King and addressing a parliament the land had been very much ceded.

CHARLEBOIS: The gene-edited bacon you never asked for

In April, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the commercial distribution of pigs genetically edited with CRISPR technology to resist porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), a costly and widespread disease in pork production. These pigs are expected to enter the American market in 2026. Yet Canadian consumers could start seeing gene-edited pork products in stores — unlabelled and unannounced — as early as next year.
