The stars are aligned: now Canada must deliver on its natural resources

For too long, Canada has been a modest contributor on the global economic stage. But modesty is no longer a virtue in a world demanding bold leadership. While on the campaign trail, Prime Minister Mark Carney promised to make Canada both the strongest economy in the G7 and an energy superpower. That ambitious goal is not only necessary, it is also within reach—if we are willing to unleash the full potential of Canada’s natural resources sector, including responsibly expanding our energy and critical minerals industries.

Not if Net-Zero Carney has his way.

‘Gents’ is an unacceptable term in modern workplace, judge says

A female employee who sued an insurance company for discrimination still lost her case — as her boss was guilty of incompetence rather than sexism

A judge has branded the word “gents” as “old-fashioned”, describing the term as unsuitable for the modern workplace.

Dawn Shotter said the shortening of “gentlemen” — often used to describe men’s lavatories — was inappropriate in a ruling involving a claim against one of the Britain’s biggest insurance companies.

A female employee at Royal & Sun Alliance sued for sex discrimination after she was included in group emails from her boss that was addressed to “gents”.

Trump, Carney Agree to Reach Deal Within 30 Days

BANFF, Alta.—Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President Donald Trump have committed to reaching a deal within 30 days, following a meeting on the first day of the G7 leaders’ summit in Kananaskis, Alta.

The new commitment came during discussions on a new economic and security relationship between both countries, along with talks on trade pressures and each side’s priorities, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout of the June 16 meeting.

Trump left rendering the G7 meaningless.

Paris Train Staff Fine Teen Pilgrim Singing Hymn—But Ignore Football Rioters

On returning from the pilgrimage to Chartres on Whit Monday last week, a young pilgrim was fined for ‘disturbing the peace’ because he was singing with his friends in the corridors of a Paris train station. A few days after the chaos caused by supporters of the Paris Saint-Germain football team, the sentence seems somewhat disproportionate. The reason is simple: when imposing fines, the transport authorities deliberately target passengers who are convenient for them—who are obviously not the real troublemakers.

European Union Leaders Say Canada Will Sign a Defence Procurement Pact This Month

Answers to Mrs. Hitler

European Union officials say Canada is likely to sign a defence procurement agreement with the continent when Prime Minister Mark Carney goes to Brussels later this month.

Carney is set to visit the administrative capital of the European Union on June 23 for the Canada-EU summit, where he will meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa.

At the G7 summit in Alberta on Sunday, both EU leaders said Canada’s involvement in Europe’s defence architecture is set to deepen.

I doubt Canada is able to contribute much if anything to the defense of Europe, even if we were so inclined which is very doubtful.

How many Muslims will rally to Finland’s defence? There is no Canada anymore.

Elizabeth May calls solar panels ‘Jesus work’

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May told the House of Commons that solar panels embody the teachings of Jesus Christ as she endorsed her parish church’s decision to bless newly installed renewable energy equipment.

In her first Member’s Statement to the 45th Parliament, May described attending a ceremony where her bishop blessed solar panels installed on St. Andrew Anglican Church in Sidney, BC, reports Blacklock’s Reporter.

The march of the useful idiots

In April 2017, thousands of wealthy Westerners headed to the Bahamas for Fyre, a luxury music festival. They expected villas and meals from celebrity chefs. What they got was soaked tents and cheese sandwiches. Watching the Netflix documentary, Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, it is difficult not to cringe as you see it slowly dawn on the privileged tourists that the whole thing is a con.

We saw a similar case of privileged Western delusion meeting reality in Egypt this weekend. Some 4,000 activists had descended on Cairo for the ‘Global March to Gaza’. They expected to take buses to Arish, a city in northern Sinai, before marching 30 miles to the Egyptian side of the Gaza border at Rafah. There they would break Israel’s blockade.

This is awful. Awful funny.

David Mamet’s Tribute to Trump A tough-minded cynic – and patriot – spouts off. Brilliantly.

Like the late David Horowitz, David Mamet, now 77, was a red-diaper baby who, after spending the first act of his career as a prominent member of the left, eventually had second thoughts. Horowitz announced his change of mind in a 1985 Washington Post article, co-authored with his writing partner Peter Collier, headlined “Lefties for Reagan”; Mamet went public with his own political metamorphosis in a 2008 Village Voice essay entitled “Why I Am No Longer a ‘Brain-Dead Liberal.’” In the years since, Mamet, whose oeuvre already included first-rate plays like Glengarry Glen Ross (1984) and top-notch screenplays like Wag the Dog (1997) and Hannibal (2001), has published a slew of wise – and wise-ass – books about politics, culture, and the arts, including Recessional (2022), which I summed up as follows: “What, you ask, does he write about? Answer: What doesn’t he write about?”

Help The Murderer Of An Innocent Bystander? No Jail For You In Toronto!

Khalila Mohammed
Ex-harm reduction worker avoids jail in killing of Leslieville bystander Karolina Huebner-Makurat

A Toronto judge has sentenced a former harm-reduction worker to two years less a day of community supervision for helping a man involved in a daylight shootout that killed a bystander and sealed the fate of a now-closed Leslieville safe-injection site.

Karolina Huebner-Makurat, 44, was walking to lunch with a friend on July 7, 2023, when alleged drug dealers exchanged bullets outside the South Riverdale Community Health Centre on a busy Queen Street East.

Last December, Khalila Mohammed, 25, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to manslaughter, admitting she aided Ahmed Ibrahim by treating his wounds, hiding his clothing and helping him leave the scene and then lying to police about him.

Politically motivated assassinations: Why is America going mad?

In the latest indication that America is going mad, two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were recently shot. Dressed as a police officer, the shooter knocked on the doors of the victims’ homes in the early morning hours, first shooting Senator John Hoffman (D-Minn) and his wife numerous times and wounding both. He then drove nine miles to shoot former House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D-Minn) and her husband, killing them.

Impending collapse of the White British nation

THE White British will become a minority by the year 2063. The foreign-born and their descendants will become a majority by 2079. And by the year 2100, at least one in five people on these islands will be following the Islamic faith, up from roughly one in every 14 today.

These are just a few of the bombshell findings from my latest research report, which received extensive media coverage.

Population projections are notoriously difficult.

Jordan Peterson: At long last, my re-education ‘coach’ has been chosen

I don’t know if Canadians have the interest or the patience to submit themselves yet another time to another chapter of the interminable saga of the conflict that I have been embroiled in for what seems like forever with the relatively newly renamed Ontario College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts. I know I’m sick and tired of the whole affair, having moved out of the country in no small part in consequence of the prejudice, ideologically-motivated shenanigans, false morality and petty power mongering of that august body.

Texas Jury Clears Woman in Fatal Shooting of Estranged Husband

A Texas woman charged with the murder of her estranged husband in 2023 has been acquitted of all charges in the shooting after she and her attorney argued that she was acting in self-defense.

Cassandra Harris and her common-law husband Ricky Ellis, had been arguing about Ellis moving out of the home in April, 2023, when Harris said the dispute escalated to the point that she tried to retreat to a locked bedroom to get away from him.

The Talibanization of Bangladesh

Liberty is not only precious, but it is also exceedingly fragile – especially in majority-Muslim nations led by secular-leaning governments threatened by Islamists. Any change of power favoring Islamists may put the nation on a path that leads to the destruction of liberties and rights.

This has occurred in Bangladesh since April 2024, when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country as a result of mass student protests which were later hijacked by Islamists. Three days later, economist Muhammad Yunus, supported by the Biden administration, was sworn in as the head of the country’s caretaker government.

LYTLE: Prime minister’s book leaves a lot to the imagination… his

This past week I took the time to read the book “Value(s)” by our droopy, elbows-up prime minister.

Was he not our prime minister, I would have given it a pass. It was a moderately interesting read but it left me feeling that something was not quite right about his arguments. His recent campaigning mimicked his writing. What he said in chapter x was not repeated when discussed again in chapter y.
