OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman once warned that artificial intelligence “may cause significant harm to the world.” His chatbot is already harming babies, mothers and pro-life volunteer organizations by directing them to the baby-killing organization Planned Parenthood for information on crisis pregnancy centers.

In Ottawa Thursday morning, Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada would retaliate to part of the new 25 per cent U.S. border levy on foreign-made autos and parts as he warned that more American border levies may be coming on lumber, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and semiconductors.

Minnesota Teen’s Arrest Shatters Gun Control Myths

Age limits for gun purchases are very popular with anti-gunners. They love the federal age limits on handguns and they want the same limits on at least some long guns.

They’ll tell you that these age limits keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people who are young enough that their brains haven’t fully developed and can’t be trusted to be rational while owning guns.

A third defendant pleads guilty to juror bribery in massive Minnesota food fraud case

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A third defendant pleaded guilty Wednesday for his role in an attempt to bribe a juror with a bag of $120,000 in cash in exchange for acquittals in a massive COVID-19-related fraud case in Minnesota.

Abdulkarim Shafii Farah pleaded guilty to one count of bribery of a juror. He was the third of five defendants to admit to federal charges arising from the bribery case, which broke last year during the first trial of people charged in the Feeding Our Future scandal. Two of the seven defendants in that trial were Farah’s brothers.

Ilhan Omar was likely married to all of these guys at one point.

The 51st state panic was a hoax played on Canadians by our politicians and the press

Yes, poor gullible, fearful Canada. You were played.

Not by U.S. President Donald Trump. You were played by power-seeking politicians in this country. You were played by many in the press in this country.

Reality came to call one day after the date set aside for playing jokes on people.

Chicken Little was wrong. The sky isn’t falling. Canada’s end times are not upon us.

Poilievre’s agenda is radically different than Carney’s and it’s frightening says woman who thought Hugo Chavez was the Cat’s Pajamas

A deeply flawed argument has slipped into the national election conversation.

It goes like this: there isn’t much policy difference between front-runners Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre, so it really comes down to who can best handle Donald Trump.

True, handling the U.S. president is job one and polls show Carney more trusted on this file. But the first part of the argument — that the two men have similar policies — is fundamentally wrong and dangerously misleading.

It’s true what they say about progressives every accusation is a confession.

LILLEY: No new tariffs from Trump a hit to Carney’s campaign

It’s not quite a presidential pardon, but we could call it a reprieve. Canada didn’t get any additional tariffs as U.S. President Donald Trump celebrated what he called “Liberation Day.”

Trump has been talking about new tariffs on Canada for months; he even went on a rant during his Rose Garden ceremony about how he sees Canada’s dairy industry as ripping off American farmers.

Putin supporters turn on Kremlin over Muslim migration

Vladimir Putin’s supporters have turned on the Kremlin over Muslim migration into Russia from Central Asia, comparing the situation with that of European cities with large minority populations.

Rybar is a prominent Telegram blog with more than 1.3 million subscribers and whose founder Mikhail Zvinchuk, a former military translator, was awarded the Order of Merit of the Fatherland Second Class by Putin in 2023.

Yet last month, it posted a scathing analysis of Russia’s rapidly changing demographics, using the Moscow suburb of Kotelniki to illustrate its point.

Joel Kotkin: If Carney brings Canada closer to Europe, financial ruin would follow

U.S. President Donald Trump’s mindless, and frankly pointless, comments about Canada becoming the 51st state have stirred up latent Canadian patriotism . But it also may result in Canada, which is already economically moribund, further aligning itself with the permanent European Union bureaucracy.

A tilt towards Europe would be natural for Liberal Leader Mark Carney , the former pre-Brexit head of the Bank of England. He’s an advocate of the very environmental, social and economic policies that have led the EU — and, to some extent, Canada — into economic and social decline.
