Actually, We Need Less Empathy

This Western fixation has produced zany — and harmful — results that would be unthinkable in an ethical system that has stood the test of time.

We need to talk about morality.

One of the most consistent trends in modern “discourse” is activists arguing that Westerners, whites, men, and members of similar large groups have a duty to do objectively insane things — allow the un-vetted mass migration of young men, for example — because “morality requires this.”

How do Ukraine’s soldiers feel about Trump’s peace deal?

The blunt announcement that there would be no Nato membership for the country was hard to take for those who are paying the highest price for freedom

Icy winds whipped at the forest of flags honouring Ukraine’s war dead on Friday as soldiers joined the bereaved in Kyiv’s Independence Square to contemplate the kind of peace that leaders in the White House and Kremlin were conspiring to force on them.

The blunt announcement that there would be no Nato membership for Ukraine, along with President Trump’s warm words for Vladimir Putin, hit with a heavy thud among those who have paid and are paying the highest price for Ukraine’s freedom.

“What can I say?” asked Yura, a middle-aged volunteer soldier home for two days from the front outside Pokrovsk where Ukrainian forces are battling to prevent Russian troops breaking through their last defensive lines.

The USAID–Internews Media Cartel

If an obscure nonprofit received hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, trained thousands of journalists, influenced media outlets worldwide, and quietly scrubbed its leadership and key records from the internet—wouldn’t you want to know why?

That’s precisely what’s happening with Internews Network, a so-called “independent” media organization almost entirely bankrolled by USAID since 2008.

Are Canada’s Liberals making a comeback?

Canada is in the midst of a national awakening, with a renewed sense of patriotism sweeping across the country in the face of Donald Trump’s tariff threats. The “Buy Canadian” movement which took off as the tariffs were supposed to be introduced on 1 February — now due to come into effect in March — has started having a tangible impact on retail markets. More and more shoppers are forgoing American made goods for their Canadian counterparts. The biggest beneficiary of this newfound love for crown and country seems to be the country’s previously struggling Liberal Party, which is experiencing a level of support not seen since 2023.

All Liberals are the same. A newish old face won’t change that.

Country star Sheryl Crow slammed as ‘elitist’ after latest empty gesture against Musk

Sheryl Crow had country music fans in a tizzy on Friday when she posted a video of her Tesla car getting towed away as part of her protest against Elon Musk.

‘My parents always said… you are who you hang out with. There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla,’ she captioned the video.

‘Money donated to @npr, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.’

JD Vance has signed the death warrant of the status quo

His intellectual waterboarding of Europe’s elites was a joy to watch.

Well, that was a delicious spectacle. America’s self-made VP gloriously roasting the wizened technocrats of Europe. A Yank from dirt-poor origins sticking it to Europe’s turbo-smug ruling class. How they squirmed as the boy from Ohio who somehow made it to the top of US politics chastised them for their indecent desertion of the ideals of liberty, democracy and security. It was like an intellectual waterboarding, and I loved every minute of it.

SLOBODIAN: The obscene way Trudeau’s minions have warped the message on Canada Day

Here’s a simple formula to help Canadian Heritage managers get on track when doling out millions of taxpayer dollars in grants for Canada Day celebrations.

No Canadian flag, no O Canada, no exhibit of national pride and unity — no grant money. Period. Don’t bother applying.

Let everybody wailing about colonialism which is rooted in Marxism, or pushing racist diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), disrespect and trash Canada on their own dime.

Allies appear to duck and cover as Trump threatens Canada and Greenland

Whenever we talk about NATO it’s usually in the context of money — or the famous all-for-one, one-for-all treaty clause known as Article 5.

The provision is the bedrock of the Western military alliance, allowing leaders from Latvia to London to Ottawa to sleep better at night knowing more than two dozen other like-minded nations have their backs.

What often doesn’t get much attention is the preceding paragraph: Article 4.

No one really likes Trudeau so I am not surprised. Possession of Greenland paints Denmark as a colonial power a major no no in Euro-Land.

Ilhan Omar Faces Deportation Efforts

A growing petition to deport Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) is gaining significant traction. Many people are signing it, expressing frustration over her controversial statements and actions that impede law enforcement efforts. The petition calls for the Somali-born congresswoman to be removed from the United States, citing her perceived disloyalty to American values and repeated criticisms of the country. As calls for accountability mount, many are questioning how someone with her outspoken views was allowed to hold public office in the first place.

The world’s populist leaders are already taking cues from Donald Trump’s second term

Make Europe Great Again. Slash foreign aid. And rid the world of paper straws, just like in America.

If U.S. President Donald Trump’s election victory was, in his words, huge, his impact back in the White House has been both chaotic and vast. He has vowed to bring glamour to the Gaza Strip, peace to Ukraine and trading partners to their knees.

His edicts are also echoing in places as disparate as the Canadian Arctic, Italy and Argentina, where populist politicians are following in Trump’s policy footsteps and casting themselves in his anti-establishment mould.
