Justin Trudeau’s final disgrace: Leaving Parliament prorogued during a crisis

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how outrageous it is that Canada’s Parliament is not sitting during this critical time.

In three weeks, U.S. President Donald Trump could decide, because his breakfast eggs are too runny that morning, or he doesn’t like the look of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s face, that our efforts to secure the border have proven unsatisfactory. He could then plunge our economy into a recession, and our Parliamentarians will have to resort to the lowest chamber – social media – to speak on behalf of their constituents. All because the Liberals need time to choose between Mark Carney and Chrystia Freeland.

Trump could deport Prince Harry – this is how

The first fortnight of Donald Trump’s second term has not been light on incident. Practically every day, the United States president has done something many would have thought undoable. He has sent the military to the Mexican border, began deporting migrants to Guantanamo Bay, started or threatened trade wars with China, Canada, Mexico and the EU, banned transgender women from female sports, frozen the $41 billion per year USAID programme, proposed annexing Greenland and suggested turning the ruins of Gaza into a “Riviera of the Middle East.”

Given this extraordinary catalogue, is it so fanciful to think he might deport a single British citizen resident in California: one Prince Harry?

Chrystia Freeland and Karina Gould say they would hit NATO spending target by 2027

OTTAWA — It’s a race to two per cent.

A day after Liberal leadership candidate Mark Carney pledged he would hit Canada’s long-delayed defence spending target by 2030, two other leadership rivals declared they would achieve that threshold even faster.

In a statement Thursday, former finance minister Chrystia Freeland unveiled her own plan to boost Canada’s defence spending to the equivalent of two per cent of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2027.

Merkel Refuses To Take Blame For Mass Migration

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the architect of the European migration crisis, has once again criticised the leader of the centre-right CDU party, Friedrich Merz for allowing the right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party to support his proposals on toughening asylum laws.

Her criticism comes as a new poll shows that the majority of Germans disagree with her, with almost two-thirds of the country’s citizens wanting illegal and undocumented migrants turned back at the border.

DOGE deserves credit for 40,000 federal worker departures

Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) hit an unexpected roadblock today when a federal judge in Massachusetts temporarily blocked its signature initiative mere hours before deadline. Yet even with this judicial intervention, the programme has already achieved something remarkable: convincing tens of thousands of federal employees to voluntarily resign. While falling well short of the administration’s ambitious target of 100,000 to 200,000 departures, these 40,000 resignations represent the largest voluntary exodus from federal service in America’s post-war history. Even as the White House denies reports that it’s drafting orders to cut thousands more workers from health agencies, America’s vast bureaucratic apparatus is facing one of the biggest shake-ups in its history.

Make Gaza great again?

Gaza – de-Hamas’d

Much of Tuesday’s press conference between Trump and Netanyahu deserved 10-point headlines.

Netanyahu got what he wanted…the green light to finish up against Hamas. The war will go on. Israel still has scores to settle.

Trump is not enthusiastic about this, but he’s going along from a sense of friendship toward Netanyahu and Israel.

This is something Israel needs to do, for security, for pride, and he is Trump, not Biden, who hindered Israel at every turn.

USAID helped fund the ‘Soros prosecutors’

If Elon Musk—who has been an advocate for free speech and small government—has an evil twin, that evil twin is George Soros. Soros, as conservatives know, has spent his billions funding organizations dedicated to leftist causes. One of the causes with the greatest impact has been funding “Soros prosecutors”—hard-left lawyers who refuse to prosecute criminals but enthusiastically prosecuted Trump and other conservatives. It now appears that some large amounts of the money the Soros organizations used to get these prosecutors in office came from USAID.

And the Democrats have the nerve to complain about the “Unelected” Musk.

Trump’s NGO Apocalypse

In popular culture, the word ‘apocalypse’ means ‘the end of the world,’ as portrayed in the Book of Revelation. But etymologically, it comes from the Greek word meaning ‘unveiling.’ What Donald Trump is doing to the unelected NGO-cracy in Washington now is an apocalypse in both senses of the term. His team, led by Elon Musk, is uncovering massive state funding, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), of NGOs and activist groups that serve as de facto arms of globalism, and destroying them by taking their taxpayer money away.

Most Americans have never heard of USAID, and if they have, imagine that it is a humanitarian agency dedicated to providing disaster relief and doing things like helping poor Africans build hospitals and water wells. And some of its massive budget ($40 billion in 2023) does go to worthy projects like that.
