She recognized some of the residents who were staying at the shelter the city was running out of what was then the Strathcona Hotel on York Street. Despite her shift as a community support worker being close to over, she hurried over to the paved parkette see if any of them were in distress.

CNN, Tapper Wants to Downplay, Dismiss Muslim Rape Gangs in the U.K., Decry Musk Spotlight

The liberal media had become so anti-Elon Musk they wanted to dissuade everyone from listening to what he had to say, including his pointing out of the Muslim rape gangs going unprosecuted in the U.K. Near the end of the first hour of Thursday’s edition of The Lead, CNN host Jake Tapper ran a report from CNN international diplomatic editor Nic Robertson decrying Musk for “opening old wounds” despite no justice ever being served in a crime spree that was still ongoing.

“Environmental justice” appears to be the latest Biden-era initiative on the chopping block as 168 employees of the Environmental Protection Agency’s environmental justice and civil rights office were put on administrative leave on Thursday.

The move comes as President Trump works to purge the government of “radical and wasteful” diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

Immigration lawyers accuse Ottawa of stalling on visa approvals for thousands of stranded Gazans

Almost 5,000 Palestinians who applied last year to take part in a special Ottawa program to help them flee war-torn Gaza and join relatives in Canada have been deemed eligible by the government, but so far only 620 – or fewer than 15 per cent – have arrived.

Immigration lawyers representing Palestinians and their Canadian relatives are accusing the government of deliberately stalling applications, and are urging officials to take advantage of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and reopening of the Rafah crossing to press Israel to allow applicants still in Gaza to exit.

NO Hell NO. Good comments.

Ontario hired private investigators to surveil safe consumption sites. Here’s what they reported

An affidavit filed by private investigators retained by the province to surveil supervised consumption sites says they observed apparent drug transactions, public intoxication, discarded drug paraphernalia, physical altercations and public drug use in their vicinity.

But harm reduction advocates and the people who run the sites say they paint a misleading picture.

“All they have here is more evidence of people trying desperately to survive a drug poisoning crisis,” said Sarah Ovens, an organizer with the Toronto Overdose Prevention Society.

Why are so many North Koreans dying on the battlefields of Ukraine?

The North Korean assault on his paratroopers’ positions had been intense and lasted for hours. Kim Jong-un’s men fired accurately, moved fast, looked after their wounded and refused to give up long after it should have been clear they had lost the battle.

Major Anton of Ukraine’s 95th Air Assault Brigade was relieved that Pyongyang’s infantry had not had Russian support. Combined with artillery, attack drones and tanks, they would have been a formidable fighting force.

20,000 Indian students didn’t show up to class after arriving in Canada. What happened to them? – They’re choosing the new LPC leader probably.

Nearly 20,000 Indian students have failed to enrol at their designated colleges and universities after arriving in Canada. This has raised significant concerns about immigration fraud and the misuse of the student visa system.

A variety of factors play into this mystery. The first involves many Indian students being lured by fake colleges. And some have used their student visas to enter Canada and work rather than study. Some of those students seem to have been misled by unregulated agents promising easy access to jobs or permanent residency.

A Michigan state representative claims she underwent a sterilisation procedure to avoid becoming pregnant while Donald Trump is in office.

Laurie Pohutsky, a Democrat, said she went through with the surgery because she believed that the US President could choose to ban contraception.

“Just under two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to ensure that I would never have to navigate a pregnancy in Donald Trump’s America,” she said at a protest on Wednesday.

Donald Trump is not joking about making Canada the 51st state says PM who turned Canada into a 3rd World Shithole

U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements about annexing Canada are not a joke, and are driven in part by his desire to see the U.S. benefit from Canada’s critical mineral resources, says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“I suggest that not only does the Trump Administration know how many critical minerals we have but that may be even why they keep talking about absorbing us and making us the 51st state,” the prime minister told a Toronto gathering of Canadian company executives, industry and union leaders behind closed doors.

USAID could slash staff to hundreds after placing most on leave

America’s foreign aid agency could see its staff slashed from about 10,000 to fewer than 300 globally as the Trump administration makes major cuts to government spending.

All but a handful of essential staff are already set to be placed on administrative leave at midnight on Friday, including thousands based abroad. An online notice says a plan is being prepared for return travel and the termination of non-essential contractors.

One union representing employees – which is involved in a legal challenge to the plan – told the BBC’s US partner CBS News that just 294 staff have been deemed essential.

USAID is a scam of almost unbelievable scale.
