Trump says he believes US will ‘get Greenland’

President Donald Trump has said he believes the US will gain control of Greenland, after showing renewed interest in acquiring the autonomous Danish territory in recent weeks.

“I think we’re going to have it,” he told reporters on Air Force One on Saturday, adding that the island’s 57,000 residents “want to be with us”.

His comments come after reports that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen insisted Greenland was not for sale in a fiery phone call with the president last week.

Toronto Star explains why Brampton is a 3rd World Shithole

Canada’s international student boom changed Brampton forever. As the program scales back dramatically, a strained community tries to adapt

Several times a week, Sukhman Kaur takes two buses from her basement apartment in Brampton through Mississauga to get to Toronto, where she attends George Brown College.

The 22-year-old, who is studying culinary management, says when she moved to Canada from India in December 2023 as an international student, she already knew that despite studying in Toronto, she would likely end up living in Brampton.

“The main reason I live here is because rent is lower than Toronto, but also lots of our community members live here, too,” said Kaur, speaking from the site in Brampton where former international students were protesting federal policy changes that have left them at risk of deportation. After several months, the protest ended last week. “There are also lots of industrial areas, and more part-time jobs for us who need to work to manage our expenses.”

This says stay away from Canada’s urban centres.

“Time to Get Tough” as Figures Show One in 12 in London Is an Illegal Migrant

Reports this week point to new figures showing that “up to” 585,000 illegal migrants live in London, which is equivalent to one in 12 of the UK capital’s population. One migration expert told europeanconservative.com that the true number is likely to be “even higher.”

Migration Watch chairman Alp Mehmet said that the think tank “estimates the overall number of illegal migrants in the UK to be around 1.5-2 million, the bulk (circa 60%) of whom will be in the capital.”

In other words, there could be between 900,000 and 1.2 million illegal migrants in London.

Commanders have also been instructed to maintain defensive positions while avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as aggressive by US forces or regional allies.

Trudeau gov’t to open migrant benefit shopper processing centre in Quebec near U.S. border

Canadian authorities are planning to open a processing centre for asylum seekers near the United States border in Quebec in case there is a sharp rise in the number of would-be refugees entering Canada.

Earlier this week, the federal government published a notice seeking office space it could lease to accommodate reception and meal distribution areas as well as a waiting room for up to 200 people at a time.

In an e-mail, the Canada Border Services Agency says the planned processing centre is part of its contingency plans “in the event of an influx of asylum seekers.”

Conrad Black: The insidious BDS campaign trying to undermine our universities

As the United States officially abandons the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda as the institutionalized bigotry that most of it is, and Harvard University has banned reasonably defined antisemitism and is incorporating the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, Canadian academia appears to be resolutely accelerating in the opposite direction. In recent months, activists from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the United Steelworkers (USW) university locals, promoting boycott, divestment and sanctions policies against Israel, have been pressuring faculty associations at the University of Toronto and other Ontario universities, demanding ”responsible investing” by the University Pension Plan (UPP), which holds $11.7 billion in assets for the 41,000 working and retired members of the plan.

The “University” is fast losing its value. Junk “studies” degrees and absurdly left indoctrination churns out incompetent young adults unable to support themselves.

ZWAAGSTRA: Ford government should reject Toronto school board’s DEI decree

Academic performance is down in Ontario – by a lot.

According to results from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), from 2003 to 2022 (the latest year of PISA data), math test scores in Ontario declined by 35 points and reading scores declined by 12 points.

To put this in perspective, PISA equates 20 points with approximately one grade level. So, Ontario students are nearly two grades behind in their math skills, and more than half a grade behind in their reading skills, than they were in 2003.

I blame the parents who treat their child’s education as nothing more than daycare.

Every strike results in capitulation to the teacher’s unions because parents demand a “solution” to their babysitting problem.

What do they get in return? Schools run by overpaid perverts unfit for any job.

Doug Ford will do what all politicians do. Ignore this issue so as not to anger the unions for the upcoming election.

‘Experts’ killed trust in vaccines

Politicised agencies and irrational rules alienated parents

Vaccination rates against childhood diseases have been on a downward slide for the past few years in the United States. Nationally, for example, the share of kindergarteners with completed records for the measles vaccine dropped to 93 percent last year, down from 95 percent in 2019, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Polio, whooping cough, and chickenpox vaccination rates have likewise slumped since the pandemic.

‘Case closed’: how Southport killer was left free to murder

Axel Rudakubana was referred to an anti-extremism programme three times but his obsession with mass shootings was dismissed as an ‘interest in world news’

Counterterrorism officers believed Axel Rudakubana had an interest in world news and current affairs but no cause or political belief and was “not in danger of being radicalised”, a Home Office review has found.

A redacted version of the report into decisions made by the northwest of England’s Prevent team in the Southport killer’s case is due to be released. It exposes serious failings in the officers’ approach to the violent extremist.

On Thursday Rudakubana, 18, was sentenced to a minimum of 52 years for the murders of three girls in a knife attack described in court as “shocking” and “pure evil”. The Sunday Times understands that Rudakubana was given a three-year discount to his sentence for pleading guilty. The families and politicians have expressed anger that he fell short of a full-life tariff due to him being 17 at the time of the murders.

The Pope’s revenge: why the new Archbishop of Washington is such a controversial choice

Cardinal McElroy – looks like he belongs in a Star Trek episode. (Original)

For an 88-year-old man who has spent only five days in the United States and doesn’t speak English, Pope Francis is a surprisingly partisan observer of American politics. For most of his life he was, like a typical Argentinian, viscerally but vaguely anti-American.

But by the time he became Pope in 2013 both he and the Democratic party had embraced the ideology of the globalist left. And so they became allies. In 2016, Francis gave his blessing to the Hillary Clinton campaign’s Catholic front organisations, motivated not just by a shared obsession with anti-racism and climate change but contempt for Donald Trump.
