The Day the Delusions Died

… We woke up on October 8 to the clamor of street protests in cities across the West condemning Israel even before any major Israeli response to the attacks. We watched celebratory crowds brandish swastikas and chant “gas the Jews” at events purporting to be about the loss of Palestinian lives. We saw Black Lives Matter chapters lionize terrorists.

In London, where I live, we watched the mayor deliver glib assurances that “London’s diversity is our greatest strength” in the midst of a wave of antisemitic attacks, and as Jewish schools were forced to close because of safety concerns.

Across the West, we noticed that our representatives refused to condemn Hamas’s kidnappings, and that the legacy media was all too eager to swallow and regurgitate Hamas propaganda.

For 17 years this blog has served as a minor record of the destruction our elites have visited upon Canada and western civilization in general through the mass import of Islamists.

Some who happily demonized those that dared point out Islam’s incompatibility with our culture and values are suddenly appalled to witness “Canadian” Muslims openly celebrating the  murder of Israeli men, women and children.

But only some are appalled most of their kind dance in delight at the slaughter.

Our politicos of all stripes enabled this hate to fester within Canadian society, they protected and nurtured its growth and criminalized citizens who spoke against the madness.

And all for our latter day 30 pieces of silver, votes.

Sadly those responsible for inviting this evil to our shores lack the remorse of Judas.

NYTimes Editors’ Note: We uh, were kinda vague & left a bunch of stuff out and went straight to blaming the Jews in our initial Gaza Hospital Coverage

Editors’ Note: Gaza Hospital Coverage

On Oct. 17, The New York Times published news of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza City, leading its coverage with claims by Hamas government officials that an Israeli airstrike was the cause and that hundreds of people were dead or injured. The report included a large headline at the top of The Times’s website.

Israel subsequently denied being at fault and blamed an errant rocket launch by the Palestinian faction group Islamic Jihad, which has in turn denied responsibility. American and other international officials have said their evidence indicates that the rocket came from Palestinian fighter positions.

‘I have no fixed address’: A look at encampments for homeless across Canada

Federal housing advocate Marie-Josee Houle has called the spread of homeless encampments in cities across Canada a human rights crisis.

“People living in encampments face some of the most vulnerable circumstances of any member of Canadian society … they have experienced a history of human rights violations and are at heightened risk of further violations,” her office wrote in an interim report on encampments published this month.

I was a DEI director — DEI drives campus antisemitism

The blatant antisemitism on college campuses has shocked millions of Americans over the past week and a half.

But not me.

I saw antisemitism on a weekly basis in my two years as a faculty “diversity, equity and inclusion” director.

In fact, I can safely say that toxic DEI ideology deliberately stokes hatred toward Israel and the Jewish people.

CBC mainly remains off X, citing low traffic six months after scaling back presence

OTTAWA – Six months after the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and Radio-Canada scaled back its use of the social media site X, the public broadcaster says it will mostly remain off the platform formerly known as Twitter because it doesn’t bring in a lot of traffic.

Leon Mar, a spokesperson for the public broadcaster, said CBC’s focus is to engage Canadians on other platforms and to continue driving traffic to its websites and streaming services.

“The audience and engagement that we get from X is small. Among our social media platforms, X is among the smallest sources of traffic,” he told The Canadian Press when asked why it hasn’t fully returned.

Terrorists carried instructions to make weapons of mass destruction

In an interview today, Sunday, Israel’s President Isaac Herzog revealed materials found on the bodies of Hamas terrorists, including training materials for the use of chemical warfare agents, intended to be used by the terrorist organization in its murderous rampage against innocent civilians.

A USB key found on the body of a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated Israeli territory was found to contain detailed instructions on creating chemical weapons and implementing their use among the civilian population. The source of the document is a manual from the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization dated 2003, and its discovery indicates both the connection between the organizations and the intention of the Hamas terrorist organization to use chemical weapons to cause mass casualties – as ISIS had planned in the past.

Creepy AF CUPE Ontario President Apologizes for Comments Made After Hamas Attack on Israel

The president of Canadian Union for Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, Fred Hahn, has apologized for comments he made on Oct. 8, one day after the Hamas attack on Israel that killed over 350 Israelis and injured more than 1,900 people in that country by late that Saturday.

“On October 7th, Hamas committed a horrific terrorist attack on civilians in Israel. On the day immediately following that, I tweeted about resistance. The timing was wrong. That was an error, and I apologize,” wrote Mr. Hahn in an open letter on Oct. 21.

Al-Qaida and ISIS call on followers to strike Israeli, US and Jewish targets

Al-Qaida and Islamic State (IS) have called on their followers to strike Israeli, US and Jewish targets, raising the prospect of new terrorist violence in the Middle East or the west.

In a series of statements over the past two weeks, affiliates of al-Qaida congratulated Hamas on its “invasion of Israel”, a reference to the terrorist attacks that killed 1,400 people, mainly civilians, on 7 October.

The Israeli military offensive in Gaza, which has caused a humanitarian crisis and so far killed more than 4,500 people, according to medical authorities in the Hamas-controlled territory, has provoked outrage across the Islamic world.

EVs are getting easier to find – but with price tags out of reach for many Canadians

Canada’s electric vehicle market keeps getting bigger, but that’s not necessarily good news for consumers – or the environment.

Manufacturers are leaning heavily on electrified SUVs, trucks and large cars that mean high prices and profits for the auto makers.

The trend has helped push the average price for an EV to almost $73,000, according to Canadian Black Book, making it well out of reach for most households. That’s true even with signs of downward pressure from Tesla price drops.

EV’s are impractical for a number of reasons, pretending a price drop is all that’s needed to make them ubiquitous is a lie.

‘Mutiny Brewing’ Inside State Department Over Israel-Palestine Policy

President Joe Biden’s approach to the ongoing violence in Israel and Palestine is fueling mounting tensions at the U.S. government agency most involved in foreign policy: the State Department.

Officials told HuffPost that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his most senior advisers are overlooking widespread internal frustration. Some department staff said they feel as if Blinken and his team are uninterested in their own experts’ advice as they focus on supporting Israel’s expanding operation in Gaza, where the Palestinian militant group Hamas is based.

Joe ain’t running anything.

GOLDSTEIN: Israel’s enemies have tried to destroy it since it was born

To understand the context of the latest Israeli-Hamas war requires some knowledge of the history that led up to it — a history of never-ending conflict between Israel and its internal and external enemies.

On May 15, 1948, the day after Israel became an independent state, the armies of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Transjordan (now Jordan) and two Palestinian irregular forces launched their initial attempt to “drive the Jews into the sea.”

MP With Drug-Addicted Brother Calls for End to ‘Safe Supply’ Drug Policy

B.C. Conservative member of Parliament Todd Doherty tabled a motion asking the health committee to call for an immediate end to the government’s “safe supply” drug funding, sharing that addiction personally affected his own family.

“I’ve been very public and very vocal and upfront about our family’s own struggles with addictions and how I have a brother that lives on the street, that we have struggled to get him off the street,” said Mr. Doherty at a meeting of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health on Oct. 18.

How much of Gaza is Hamas?

The argument remains. On one side are those who credit and feel indebted to President Biden and his administration for the unbridled moral support and the massive military aid, worth millions of dollars, the U.S. is giving to Israel to assist in our war against Hamas (and Hezb’allah). On the other side, the position is that if this administration had been much tougher with Iran from the outset, actually maintaining the policy toward Iran during the Trump administration, the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel would never have happened. The Biden administration’s conciliatory gestures and language further empowered Iran, leading to Hamas’s invasion of southern Israel. This surprise incursion was one of Iran’s tactics to weaken Israel over time through sporadic attacks by its proxies, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezb’allah, and even Yemen. If not for Biden’s efforts to placate Iran, goes this argument, all the people murdered in that attack would be alive today. All the hostages taken would be home with their loved ones and friends.
