Young Americans ‘strongly prefer Trump to Biden’

Alarm bells will likely ring for the White House as the US president is relying on a high youth turnout to be re-elected in 2024

Young Americans strongly prefer Donald Trump to Joe Biden in the 2024 election, a poll has found, amid persistent concerns over the US president’s age.

Mr Trump, 77, leads Mr Biden, 80, among voters under the age of 35 by 20 points in the latest poll by the Washington Post and ABC News.

Mr Trump had the support of 53 per cent of the 18 to 35-year-olds surveyed, while Mr Biden was backed by just 38 per cent.

Justin Trudeau’s muted approach to Chinese interference

In a world where political games are played in the shadows and where the echelons of power are masked by veils of duplicity, the recent public announcement by Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau about allegations of Indian involvement in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar has rattled many. But, one must ask, why is Canada so vociferous about India while seemingly turning a blind eye to China’s mischief?

India’s media covers Trudeau better than Canadian media.

Police launch probe into Brand sexual offence claims

The Metropolitan Police says it will investigate allegations of “non-recent” sexual offences following news reports about comedian Russell Brand.

The force has received a “number of allegations of sexual offences in London” as well as elsewhere in the country, and no arrests had been made.

It follows a joint investigation by the Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches in which four women accused Brand of sexual assaults and rape.

Trudeau’s fumble on India

It is hard to imagine any world leader wanting to share the foreign policy swamp in which the beleaguered Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, currently finds himself.

Having spent the past months fighting accusations that he acted too slowly to address serious allegations that China attempted to meddle in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections, Trudeau’s has landed in a potentially costly diplomatic dog fight with the world’s most populous democracy, India, at exactly the time he needs Delhi the most.

Put simply, the timing couldn’t be worse.

U.S. Army Hospital in Germany Is Treating Americans Hurt Fighting in Ukraine

The Army’s Landstuhl Regional Medical Center has quietly started admitting Ukrainian Army soldiers who were wounded in combat, most of them American volunteers.

A group of Ukrainian Army soldiers pierced by Russian grenades and mortar shells arrived at a hospital recently in need of surgery. It would have been a familiar scene from the bloody war grinding on in Ukraine, except for two crucial differences: Most of the wounded soldiers were American, and so was the hospital — the U.S. Army’s flagship medical center in Germany.

The Army has quietly started to treat wounded Americans and other fighters evacuated from Ukraine at its Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Though the number so far is small — currently 14 — it marks a notable new step in the United States’ deepening involvement in the conflict.

Sikh group urges protests outside Indian embassies in Canada over Nijjar murder

A Canadian Sikh group has called on its members to protest outside the Indian diplomatic missions of main Canadian cities on Monday, a week after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau raised the prospect of New Delhi’s involvement in the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia.

Trudeau said last week Canada was pursuing “credible allegations” that Indian government agents may be linked to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead outside a Sikh temple on June 18 in Surrey, a Vancouver suburb with a high Sikh population.

Russia blasts Canada over ‘outrageous’ war veteran reception in Parliament

The Kremlin said on Monday it was “outrageous” that a Ukrainian man who served in one of Adolf Hitler’s Waffen SS units during the Second World War had been presented to Canada’s Parliament last week as a hero.

Yaroslav Hunka, 98, received two standing ovations from Canadian lawmakers during a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The speaker of Canada’s Parliament has since apologized to Jewish groups for the incident.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the episode showed a careless disregard for historical truth, and that the memory of Nazi crimes must be preserved.

German Eco-Extremist Receives Harsher Sentence After Launching Appeal

A member of the climate alarmist group Letzte Generation (Last Generation) has been sentenced to eight months in prison, the longest prison sentence handed out to a member of the group so far.

The 41-year-old woman from Cologne was sentenced by the Tiergarten District Court in Berlin after participating in three blockades in the city between October 10th and 19th last year, during which she glued herself to the street during two protests, Die Welt reports.

Initially, the woman had only been subjected to fines for her actions but later faced trial after she decided to appeal.

Liberal MPs were ‘very, very tough’ and gave ‘straight goods’ to Trudeau at caucus meeting in London, Ont.

The national Liberal caucus that met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau behind closed doors two weeks ago in London, Ont., for its summer retreat “blasted” senior staff in the Prime Minister’s Office, some cabinet ministers, and their chiefs of staff for their attitude toward backbenchers, and expressed disappointment that the party has not defined Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, according to Liberal MPs present at the meeting.

I am not buying this, the LPC is still under Junior’s spell. The good news is that will be their downfall.

69% of French Support Mediterranean Naval Blockade

France’s appetite to accommodate the never-ending torrent of illegal migration flowing into their country appears to have soured. While the state has introduced border controls along the Italian border, turning away some 200 migrants each day, a new poll has found that nearly 70% of the French population supports a military blockade in the Mediterranean Sea to stop the influx.

Immigration and the Citizen ‘Ship’ Are Connected: Are We a Ship of State or a Ship of Fools?

We all come from somewhere. In fact, we are all either settlers or ancestors of settlers here. This goes from Canada’s earliest inhabitants whose ancestors came across the Bering Land Bridge 20,000 years previously to today’s new Canadians. But the Canadian Ship of State is not on course. Canada must not have such open borders to immigration – especially when it cannot get its own act together.
