Biden Administration’s Dangerous, Failed, Disastrous Iran Policy

There seems to be nothing that the Biden administration will not do to appease the ruling mullahs of Iran and their regime, called only a few years ago by the US Department of State the “top state sponsor of terrorism.” Since the Biden administration assumed office, the more it has been appeasing the Iranian regime financially and politically, the more the mullahs, instead of taking reciprocal steps, have become empowered and emboldened. Iran is now holding uranium enrichment at 60% purity, around 10 days away from raising it to the nuclear threshold level of 90%.

In short, the US, instead of stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, is bribing the mullahs not to go to 90% enrichment, at least on the Biden administration’s watch, especially ahead of the November 2024 US presidential election.

Surgical charges against Hunter Biden suggest a willful blindness at DOJ

In both the law and psychology, the concept of “willful blindness” is a long-recognized pattern of human conduct. It has been described as circumstances where “you could have known, and should have known, something that instead you strove not to see.”

The indictment of Hunter Biden on three counts of federal gun violations illustrates the myopic view of many in the media and the Justice Department.

Although there is a real possibility of additional charges against Hunter, the move to charge the gun violations reinforces a concern that the Justice Department continues to focus on charges that stay as far away from Hunter’s father, President Joe Biden, as plausible. The gun charges are conveniently self-contained and insulated for the administration.

OTTAWA – As thousands of demonstrators clogged the streets around Parliament Hill in early 2022, many of them had phones in hand, taking video of the different scenes around them for almost three weeks.

For some participants, the “Freedom Convoy” protests had a festival-like atmosphere. For those who weren’t part of the fun, it felt more like an occupation.

Ukraine’s Crimea attacks seen as key to counter-offensive against Russia

This week saw spectacular Ukrainian attacks on the Crimean Peninsula, hitting Russian warships and missiles.

Estimates of the damage done ran into billions of pounds and raised the question: is Ukraine getting ready to retake Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014?

Crimea is a Russian fortress, so it is important not to get carried away.

“The strategy has two main goals,” says Oleksandr Musiienko, from Kyiv’s Centre for Military and Legal Studies.

Will voter fatigue and inflation be Trudeau’s undoing?

Eight and a half years ago, in January 2015, the Liberal Party’s 36-member caucus gathered in London, Ont. ahead of a new sitting of Parliament.

There was some reason at the time to believe their leader, Justin Trudeau, would be the next prime minister of Canada. But some of the original shine had come off Trudeau by then. And it would get worse for the Liberals before it got better.

“One of the issues we’ve got going for us, ironically, is all of these attacks and criticisms are putting him through tests that the public will watch him pass,” an adviser to Trudeau said at the time. “It’s an arc. It has a story to it.”

In theory the mass immigration & housing crisis’ alone should kill off Trudeau.

But all he needs is for his committed base to show up and a good showing by the NDP to squeak through with a minority government as happened last go round.

My theory and I do have one concerns home equity. Trudeau will bleed out support with each underwater mortgage.

If he keeps the mass immigration floodgates open we’ll never see enough homes to meet demand. Home prices will at worst stabilize at or near current levels and likely increase under this scenario. That will make a lot of home owners happy that their investment is protected.

Lots of homeowners reside in urban centers like Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. Cities filled with homeowners who also happen to be Liberal and NDP supporters. Civil servants, teachers and other such unionistas. Cities also filled with GST cut enriched developers and real estate investors. In short the Liberal left base and their corporate cronies.

Junior won’t care if he doesn’t pick up a vote west of Toronto so long as he holds on to power.

Russell Brand accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse

The media personality Russell Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse during a seven-year period at the height of his fame.

The allegations were the result of a joint investigation by the Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4 Dispatches.

The actor and comedian had already moved to deny what he called “very serious criminal allegations” on Friday night. In a video posted online, Brand said he had received correspondence from a media company and a newspaper detailing the claims; this is standard practice for journalists preparing to report serious allegations about a named entity.

Trudeau gov’t calls for meeting with CEOs of Canada’s biggest grocery chains to talk food prices and look like they’re doin somethin

The federal government says it expects the heads of five of Canada’s biggest grocery chains to attend a meeting in Ottawa on Monday to discuss ways to stabilize food prices.

The office of Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne told CBC News it asked the CEOs of Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Costco and Walmart to attend in person.

Champagne’s office said it sent out the invitation Thursday afternoon as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was delivering his affordability announcement in London, Ont. at the Liberals’ national caucus retreat.

Taxes have a funny way of being passed down to the consumer but with Frankie Champagne on the case that means the Grocery Barons should walk away with a few billion each.
