Church Burnings In Pakistan Have Far To Go To Rival Trudeau’s Anti-Christian Pogrom

Anti-Christian Acts Put Pakistan on Fire

The province of Punjab in Pakistan has been in the grip of a wave of anti-Christian persecution of rare violence over the last few days.

The violence began on August 16th, following an accusation of blasphemy against a Christian family, who were accused of desecrating the Quran by tearing out pages and insulting the prophet. They strike all Christian denominations, without distinction, and have forced thousands of Christians—around 2,000—to flee to escape the destruction of their property and homes. So far, no deaths have been reported, but many churches have been burnt down and destroyed. According to various journalistic sources, reliable numbers are hard to come by, but they range between 15 and 50.

GOLDSTEIN: Freeland questions whether ‘capitalist democracy’ still works

In a commencement address to graduating students at Boston’s Northwestern University in May, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said the fundamental question of our time is: “Does capitalist democracy still work?”

She is ignorant of the fact that Capitalist Democracy is not working because of her government’s destructive policies.

Portland’s first sanctioned homeless ‘park’ has just NINE residents despite having room for 55 a month after it opened – as shocking images show drug-addled people taking over the sidewalks

“Housing First” seems nothing more than a costly delay. Mandatory treatment for mental illness and addictions need to be the 1st response.

Portland’s first sanctioned homeless ‘park’ is less than 20 percent full a month after opening as shocking new images show drug abuse and illegal campsites continue to plague its streets.

Oregon’s largest city is in the midst of a devastating humanitarian crisis, with its homeless population up almost 50 percent since 2019 to more than 5,000.

The uber-woke local government is pinning its hopes of reversing the trend on a raft of costly new shelters.

11 injured at Eritrean event in Edmonton

About a dozen people were hurt at an Eritrean-themed event in Edmonton on Saturday during a clash with a group who said they were protesting the Eritrean government.

Edmonton Police Service monitored the group of protesters all day as they moved across the city in the shadow of the festival, sometimes in riot gear while controlling the crowds. Police read more than once what’s colloquially known as the riot act.

Lambros Kyriakakos, the chairman of the Coalition of Eritrean Canadian Communities and Organizations, said he helped organize the annual Eritrean community festival that draws people from across western Canada.

Why does an ISIS bitch merit a publication ban?

Terrorism Peace Bond hearing continues for B.C. woman formerly linked to ISIS

Kimberly Polman is the focus of a peace bond hearing applied under a rarely used section of the criminal code involving measures to prevent possible terrorist activity.

In 2015, Polman claims she was lured to Syria by her husband, an ISIS member who she met online. In 2019, she was detained for her association with the terrorist group and spent three years in a detention camp in Northern Syria. She was freed in 2022 and returned to Canada.

The peace bond application allows the judge to put certain restrictions on Polman if it’s determined on reasonable grounds she may commit a terrorism offense.

Due to a publication ban, CTV News is not allowed to share details of the evidence and arguments made in court until the hearing is over.

The Chicanery of the Hunter Biden Plea Bargain

Sham special counsel David Weiss could not have more royally screwed up the Hunter Biden case. But of course, if that was the plan, it’s not really a screwup, right?

Back in Judge Maryellen Noreika’s Delaware courtroom this week, we found the prosecutor still flailing in the miasma of his imploded schemes. At issue was the corrupt “diversion agreement” that Weiss, on behalf of the president’s Justice Department, executed with the president’s son: the pact whereby Weiss gifted Hunter not merely a complete pass on a gun felony punishable by up to ten years’ imprisonment, but a total immunity bath — no prosecution for bribery, money laundering, tax evasion, failing to register as a foreign agent, or any other crimes arising out of the Biden family business of peddling Joe Biden’s political influence to operatives of corrupt and anti-American regimes.

Young people are too fat and woke to fight

The U.S. military has a problem. Nearly every branch is falling short of its recruitment goals. Some are starting to admit it’s more than a problem. It’s a full-blown crisis.

Last year, the U.S. Army fell 15,000 short of its onboarding target of 60,000. By May, the secretary of the Army was already telling Congress they were going to fall short again in 2023. Only the Space Force, which draws from a smaller and more selective applicant pool, is keeping pace with its hoped for recruitment numbers.

This has obvious national security implications. The fear is that standards will eventually be lowered intolerably to boost these numbers, or the American armed forces will simply be forced to go without.

Woke white air force colonel who claimed other white colonels were racists gets promoted to brigadier general

The Pentagon has gone to great ends to hide its wokery whenever it gets caught.

They’ve shut down drag shows on U.S. military bases. They’ve kicked openly white-hating wokesters teaching military kids upstairs to other things. They’ve taken down their Pride Month flags and tweets. They’ve changed course on hunting for “extremists” in the ranks when news emerged that they missed actual miscreants under their noses. They’ve investigated dog-sex officer pervert rings that had been going on for a long time in Hawaii. They’ve also denied, in testimony to Congress at appropriations time, that they are wokesters.

Humourless scolds have taken over comedy

This week, Comedy Unleashed, a free-speech-themed stand-up comedy night, was expelled from the Leith Arches in Edinburgh, after revealing that its package show had a concealed member. And so, to no one’s great surprise, this year’s Edinburgh Fringe has been blighted by yet another activist-driven cancellation. Almost exactly a year to the day since the censor’s axe fell on comedian Jerry Sadowitz’s errant todger, another impudent inflorescence has been nipped, not so much in the bud as close to the root.

Why are so many “comics” such unpleasant people?

Austin police blast ‘miserable’ conditions and 911 callers put on hold as crime rates in Texas city soar after BLM-inspired defund movement

An Austin Police union has exposed the ‘miserable’ conditions faced by officers after the defund movement stripped departments and gutted the workforce.

George Floyd’s killing by a Minneapolis cop and the resulting Black Lives Matter riots led to widespread demonization of police forces across the US.

Austin PD’s budget was hammered with a $150million cut approved by the Democrat-run Texas city’s council after its own scandal following the shooting of an unarmed black man in April 2020 – just weeks before Floyd’s death.

The summer the sun turned red: Canadians wake up to the reality of climate change under a veil of smoke

A red sun over Montreal. Crops withering in the field. Thousands of people fleeing a territorial capital. Smoke blanketing cities from Toronto to Ottawa to New York.

These are not scenes out of a dystopian novel but pulled straight from Canada’s summer of fire and smoke, now cresting in the frightening evacuations of Yellowknife and Kelowna.

US ‘Rent-a-Womb’ Industry Thrives Due to Demand From Parents in China: Researcher

The “rent-a-womb” industry pipelines children born of surrogates in the United States to parents in China, a researcher said. Babies born this way automatically gain U.S. birthright citizenship.

Chinese “rent-a-womb” industry, has been burgeoning in the United States for about a decade, particularly in California, where laws regulating commercial surrogacy and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) are permissive, said Emma Waters, a research associate for the Center for Life, Religion, and Family at The Heritage Foundation.

Surrogacy, a practice where a woman carries a pregnancy and gives birth to a baby for another person or couple, is completely banned in China
