The Doomsday Clock has been corrupted by ideology

Climate change is not the same as nuclear annihilation

Ever since I can remember, I have always been aware of something called the “Doomsday Clock,” a symbolized calculation produced by a panel of prominent scientists of just how close humanity is to destroying itself. Published on the cover of every issue of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a journal founded in 1945 by Manhattan Project physicists, the clock’s hands would move toward or away from the dreaded midnight hour depending on how near Armageddon was believed to be.

Joe Rogan Slams ‘Wild’ Media Silence on Twitter Files, Equates the Scandal with Watergate

“Arguably, it’s as big a scandal as Watergate.” That’s how Joe Rogan described the liberal media’s deafening silence on the bombshell Twitter Files stories.

Podcast host Joe Rogan called the legacy media’s silence on the Twitter Files (37:44) “fucking wild” on his Feb. 3 podcast episode. “It’s as big a scandal as any other times in the past where we’ve found there’s been some really shady shit going on that would change the way people would see a narrative.”

The media is simply not trustworthy.

Hoo Boy: Kamala Brutalized by Fellow Dems in NYT, Biden Brutalized in Multiple New Polls

We covered the new Washington Post/ABC News poll yesterday, which showed that a sizable majority of Americans would feel disappointed or angry if Joe Biden won a second term as president.  Almost 60 percent of Democrats told the pollster they don’t want the president to run for re-election, even as Biden and company have reportedly crafted a sunny narrative about the direction of the country for this evening’s State of the Union Address.

Former Liberal MP Raj Grewal seeks dismissal of breach of trust charges due to lack of evidence

A former Liberal MP is seeking the dismissal of two criminal charges connected to his time in office.

Raj Grewal’s lawyer argues that prosecutors have not presented enough evidence to find him guilty of the two breach of trust charges, and the Crown has failed to establish essential elements required for such a finding.

The Crown has sought to prove that Grewal used his political office for personal gain, offering access to events with the prime minister and help with immigration files in exchange for large loans that went toward his gambling debt.

More than one third of Toronto’s condos are owned by investors, new StatCan report finds

A whopping 36 per cent of the condos in Toronto are owned by investors, according to a new report published by Statistics Canada via the Canadian Housing Statistics Program.

In some smaller markets, investors account for well over 80 per cent of condo ownership, and across Ontario overall, almost 42 per cent are owned by investors.

The report defines an investor as someone who owns at least one residential property that is not used as their primary place of residence. The data is pulled from early 2020, before the pandemic feeding frenzy hit and prices shot up by more than 50 per cent across the country as interest rates reached historic lows.

This is the result of Trudeau’s immigration policy. Immigrants park their money here to make a profit consequently driving up home prices and making Canada too expensive for Canadians to live in. Then they move on, that’s all they contribute. See Below.

Ukraine releases video appearing to show Russian troops beating own wounded officer

Ukraine has released extraordinary video footage that appears to show Russian fighters dragging their badly wounded commander away from the battlefield, and then beating him violently with what appear to be shovels.

A Ukrainian drone captured the incident near the eastern city of Bakhmut, where intense fighting has been raging for months. Four soldiers from Russia’s Wagner mercenary group carry their colleague through a landscape of ruined houses, holding his arms and legs.

One-third of households say they’re financially worse off compared to year ago: poll

OTTAWA – A new poll finds one-third of Canadian households say their financial situation has worsened over the last year.

According to a Leger poll commissioned by the Association for Canadian Studies, 34 per cent of Canadian households say they’re financially worse off compared with a year ago.

… “People … in lower income brackets are finding the pinch particularly difficult in terms of the effects of the inflation and higher interest rates and so forth,” Jedwab said.

The survey doesn’t ask if your financial position is good only whether it has improved, stayed the same or gotten worse. Maybe “shiite” is the baseline.

Rogue scientist has ‘huge unease’ over future of Chinese gene-edited babies

A rogue Chinese scientist who was jailed for creating the world’s first genetically edited babies has described his “huge unease” over the future of the children, now aged about four.

He Jiankui, 39, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2019 after an international outcry when it emerged that he had altered the genes of twin girls, known as Lulu and Nana, at the embryonic stage with a technique called Crispr in an attempt to make them immune to HIV infection.

Crispr Crunch? Mutants on demand? Genetic Class Warfare?

Rex Murphy: Trudeau’s wokeism is a dismissal of everything that counts

So now we have, at least for the time being, a state-sponsored “representative” to combat Islamophobia.

I say for the time being only because there are concerted mutterings out of Quebec that the advocate-activist so appointed is an ill choice. And as all know Justin Trudeau has an eagle’s eye for alarms coming out of his home province.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the ‘new epicenter’ of Islamic extremism, U.N. says

NAIROBI — The new global epicenter of violent Islamic extremism is sub-Saharan Africa, where people are increasingly becoming radicalized because of economic factors rather than religious ones, says a new report by the United Nations’ international development agency.

The agency registered an increase of 92% in new recruits to extremist groups who said they joined to have better livelihoods, compared with the motivations of those interviewed for a previous U.N. report released in 2017.

Islam never has anything to do with Islam according to the UN.
