Zohran Mamdani’s woke, privileged tenant advocate Cea Weaver breaks down crying when asked about hypocritical gentrification comments

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly instated radical-left tenant advocate, Cea Weaver, broke down Wednesday as she dodged questions from reporters about her gentrification hypocrisy.

The 37-year-old, who has faced backlash for blasting homeownership as a “weapon of white supremacy” in the past, teared up when she emerged briefly from her apartment building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, at about 9 a.m.

She’s 37? I thought only stupid university students talked like that.

The Coalition of Wishful Thinking

The citizens of England and France are being raped and murdered by Islamists but Macron and Starmer will somehow guarantee Ukraine’s safety

It was quite the performance at the Élysée on Tuesday afternoon. Nearly 30 European leaders, plus US envoys, were gathered for a suitably wintery summit on the war in Ukraine. This, the 15th meeting of the so-called Coalition of the Willing since its launch last March, had a different feel to the previous 14. And so it proved. After several hours of talks, the Anglo-French-led coalition backing Ukraine seemed to have actually produced something. A ’declaration of intent’ no less.

Terry Glavin: Foolish to think international law should protect Maduro or Iran

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran may seem an unlikely pairing in the effort to make sense of the world at the moment, but the dramatic events unfolding in these two decrepit kleptocracies aren’t just coinciding in an inconvenient competition for front-page headlines.

It’s all part of the same story. If you get it wrong you’ll end up badly misreading U.S. President Donald Trump’s theatrically brilliant exfiltration of the Venezuelan caudillo Nicolás Maduro over the weekend. You might even conclude that the United States is truly “locked and loaded and ready to go,” as Trump himself put it last Friday, to defend Iran’s protesters against the Khomeinist regime’s guns.

When it comes to Trump’s behaviour, the most plausible explanation is the stupidest

Occam’s razor is the principle that the most plausible explanation of events is the simplest. Most often this is true. To account for Donald Trump, however, we need a different hermeneutical instrument.

Say hello to Occam’s kazoo: the principle that the most plausible explanation, so far as Mr. Trump is involved, is invariably the stupidest. To understand his motives in any given situation, pick the most aggressively simple-minded, crudely self-serving, absurdly moronic rationale you can think of. You will not be far wrong.

Coyne needs help.

Deadly ICE Shooting in Minneapolis Draws Trump Reaction, Angry Response

President Trump says video of an ICE officer fatally shooting a woman — later identified as Renee Nicole Good, 37 — in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning is “a horrible thing to watch” but says the woman “viciously ran over the ICE officer,” a claim disputed by witnesses.

The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, used a coarse expression to describe any claim of self-defense. ICE officers have flooded the city in recent days in show of force, and Homeland Security says they were carrying out “targeted operations” on Wednesday when the deadly confrontation played out.

Pierre Poilievre: Carney must approve a pipeline immediately

A major geopolitical fault line shifted Saturday morning, as the United States arrested Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro after a quarter century of socialist tyranny.

This is a good thing. Canada did not recognize Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela, and with him out of the way, we hope that Venezuelans will finally be able to enjoy freedom and democracy.

When sanctuaries change hands, civilizations speak

Churches turned into mosques are the proof of the Western takeover by Islam. No clangor, no titanic clash. Just doors that close for one community and open for another.

When a year ago I walked out of the former basilica of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, reconverted into a mosque by Erdogan, I said to one of my children-old enough to begin understanding the world we live in and the one that awaits him: “You’ll see, they will do the same in the West”.

When sanctuaries change hands, civilizations speak. The transformation is architectural, but the message is cultural: a testimony to what one society has abandoned and what another is willing to claim, sealing the decline of a civilization that illuminated the world for centuries.

Tulsi Gabbard, Director of Intelligence in the Trump administration, is right: “Their goal is not only the Islamization of Australia, but of the entire world, including the United States. It is probably too late for Europe, and perhaps also for Australia. It is not too late for the United States of America. But soon it will be.”

Remigration, the sooner the better.

Trump Was Right About Venezuela

Failing to intervene would have allowed a narco-terrorist state to wreak havoc at our doorstep.

On Saturday, President Trump ordered the capture and arrest of Nicolas Maduro. The American military successfully extradited the Venezuelan leader to New York, where he awaits trial in federal court.

While skeptics charge that Trump is simply making an oil grab, the facts paint a different picture. America’s intervention in Venezuela could enhance U.S. security, liberate an oppressed nation, and expand freedom in our hemisphere.

Stephen Maher: Trump’s Venezuela takeover is a warning for Canada. Here’s what we have to prepare for

The good news about the U.S. abduction of Nicolás Maduro is that Venezuela is finally rid of a corrupt, violent and buffoonish leader.

The bad news is that the country may soon be under the power of another corrupt, violent and buffoonish leader — Donald Trump — who is itching to use his military might on other countries in the Western Hemisphere.

That means nervous calculations are taking place in the capitals of the countries he has threatened: Havana, Bogota, Mexico City, Ottawa and Copenhagen.

Ginned up outrage. The Star uses a pic of an astro-turfed demo and didn’t Maher once compare Antifa extremists with the men who landed on D-Day.

After Trump Hits Venezuela, Will China Invade Taiwan?

President Donald Trump’s stunning moves against Venezuela on January 3 are sparking concerns that China may soon move against Taiwan.

Trump on December 16 imposed a “total and complete blockade” on sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela, and some expressed their belief that his actions could make it easier for China to impose similar measures on Taiwan, which China claims as its own.

“If the U.S. blockades to change political outcomes in Venezuela, China can justify coercive measures against Taiwan on so-called security grounds,” Craig Singleton of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies told Reuters. “The legal contexts differ, but the propaganda opening is real.”

Paying for Trudeau’s decade of neglect

It isn’t possible to hate this evil man too much.

Rapidly changing global events make clear that Canadians are now paying a steep price for the lost decade of economic growth under the government of former prime minister Justin Trudeau.

Where the previous Liberal government should have focused on making Canada an energy superpower by expanding our energy infrastructure, given our vast oil and natural gas resources, it instead downplayed them, using the ridiculous argument that the age of fossil fuels was ending.
