But just days after the Taliban took control of her city and thousands of convicted criminals were released from prison, the death threats began.
Text messages, voice notes and unknown numbers began bombarding her phone.
“It was midnight when we heard the Taliban had freed all the prisoners from jail,” says Masooma.

Private proof-of-vaccination app Portpass exposed personal information, including the driver’s licences, of what could be as many as hundreds of thousands of users by leaving its website unsecured.
On Monday evening, CBC News received a tip that the user profiles on the app’s website could be accessed by members of the public.
The information was not encrypted and could be viewed in plain text.
Earlier in the day, the Calgary-based company’s CEO Zakir Hussein had denied the app had verification or security issues and accused those who raised concerns about it of breaking the law.

At least 25 injured after explosion at block of flats in Gothenburg
Police are investigating whether an explosive device was left in an apartment building after four people were seriously hurt in an explosion and fire in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.
About 25 people were taken to hospital after the blast on Tuesday morning set ablaze the building in a central residential area. Firefighters pulled people from the building while others used tied sheets to lower themselves from balconies as grey smoke billowed out of stairwells and windows.
Some sources claim that a Swedish police who worked on criminal immigrant gangs lived in one of the apartments in this complex and he most likely was the target. This might also be a immigrant gang feud. Plenty of those in Gothenburg.

A US serviceman who asked for “accountability” for the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan on social media has been locked up in a pre-trial detention center, the Marine Corps has confirmed.

World Health Organization (WHO) staff were among 83 aid workers who sexually abused women and girls while tackling the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a report finds.
The abuses, which included nine allegations of rape, were committed by both national and international workers between 2018 and 2020.
