Conrad Black: Americans ignoring us is to our peril

Last week I carefully read the statement of strategic purpose of the Trump administration, a document published by every recent incoming administration within a year of its inauguration. The strategic statement has been received with misgivings by members of the Fortress America school that holds that the United States should be ready at all times to repulse any initiative from any potential rival country or group of countries, and by Western Europeans always on the lookout for any softening commitment of the United States to the defence of Western Europe.

I will explain why I don’t share those concerns, but my principal reservation about the strategic statement is that the country, and indeed the word, Canada, is mentioned only once in this document. A number of other countries are also overlooked but none of them has as intimate a geographic, commercial, and cultural association with the United States as Canada does.

‘Donald Trump has given white South Africans hope’: Refugee fleeing the country for new life in US details horrific torture being inflicted in farm attacks

White South Africans have thanked US President Donald Trump for giving them ‘hope’ after he invited them to the US as refugees, with some saying ‘Trump definitely knows exactly what is going on’ in the Rainbow nation.

In October the Trump administration announced it would limit the number of those seeking international protection to 7,500, giving priority to Afrikaner and white South Africans.

This favouring is backdropped by the launch of the refugee programme U.S. Mission to South Africa.

Drug Violence Tightens Its Grip on Brussels

Brussels is experiencing a sharp rise in violence, with multiple explosions and shootings reported over just five days in the Saint-Gilles municipality. The latest incident occurred on Wednesday evening on Rue du Céleri, near Place de Bethléem—a known hotspot for drug activity. Authorities confirmed that the street was cordoned off and that only material damage occurred. The Belgian army’s bomb disposal unit (DOVO) and police attended the scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the explosion.

Meanwhile the farmers are back …

RUBENSTEIN: Federal Islamophobia czar’s claims both exaggerated and fictitious

Blacklock’s Reporter recently revealed that the federal government’s Special Representative on Combating Islamophobia, Amira Elghawaby, is using her office to advocate for Muslim prayer rooms in federal buildings, citing “Islamophobia in the workplace” when accommodations for religious practices are not made.

This initiative also exposes her as using her office to advocate for federal employees “speaking out on Palestinian issues.”

A shaken minority wonders what’s next

Jack Frieberg’s parents were Holocaust survivors.

Louis and Gerda Frieberg came to Toronto in the 1950s to start a new life in the New World. He worked as a carpenter, she as a seamstress, making 70 cents a dress in a Spadina Avenue sweatshop. As Toronto boomed in the postwar years, they saw an opportunity and started a construction company.

I don’t see things improving for anyone in Canada who questions Islam in virtually any context.

Our mainstream politicians are cowards, our police compromised, the judiciary complicit and our education system a vile parody of its intended purpose.

Remigration is the only solution we have.

The boys of ‘EMPz 4 Life’: How life, death and murder haunt the ‘hero’ of this acclaimed Toronto documentary

Is there a way out? That was the question“EMPz 4 Life” asked as it followed Brian Henry’s efforts to help a group of troubled Toronto boys.

Jordan Mendez doesn’t flinch as the jury foreperson reads the verdict.

Guilty of first-degree murder.

He stands, expression unreadable, as his co-accused lowers his head and the victim’s mother rocks in her seat, before rising and glaring at the two men who took her son’s life.

“I’ve been in this situation before,” says Mendez, smirking, as a court officer slips handcuffs around his wrists. It’s true — he has. Years ago, the verdict was manslaughter. And yet another murder trial still lies ahead for him.

Michael Higgins: Toronto terror charges reflect a country that let the evil of antisemitism go unchecked

Is it really any wonder that three Toronto men who allegedly hunted women and targeted the Jewish community were using the very same tactics as Hamas?

On Oct. 7, 2023, it was Hamas who hunted Israeli women, raped them and killed them in a sickening display of violence that left 1,200 people dead. Within hours, there were people in Canada who took to the streets to celebrate the brutality.

It’s Not About the Guns: The Wrong Lesson From the Bondi Beach Attack

It may be too early for an in-depth analysis of the horrific attack on a Hanukkah gathering at Australia’s famous Bondi Beach, beyond the obvious fact that it was yet another act of Islamist terror, the latest in a long line of attacks meant to murder Jews. But it’s not too early to draw a single, transparently obvious conclusion. The Bondi Beach attack totally undermines the common progressive focus on the guns rather than the shooters.

The guns at Bondi Beach didn’t simply jump out of a car and begin shooting on their own. They were brought to the location by a father and son team of Islamist terrorists who used them to murder 15 people, including a ten-year-old girl who was deliberately targeted as she tried to run away.

NDP failed to sell itself as viable option in April election, report says

New Democrats went into the federal election earlier this year feeling that the odds were against them, given the dynamics of a race that sidelined their party, according to a wide-ranging report on the NDP’s poor performance.

The review-and-renewal report by Ottawa lawyer Emilie Taman, a former NDP candidate, says New Democrats concluded that voters had adopted a “Trump/Carney/Poilievre” mindset before the campaign began in March and that the party was ill-equipped to deal with it.

Let’s list NDP strongpoints

1) Stupid
2) Communist
3) Stupid Communists
4) Singular Achievement – A leader less popular than Trudeau

Trump and top aides refuse to rule out war with Venezuela

Donald Trump and his top advisers have refused to rule out the potential for open conflict with Venezuela as Nicolás Maduro urged his navy to escort oil tankers defying the largest US fleet deployed in the region in decades.

In an interview broadcast on Friday morning, Donald Trump told NBC News that going to war with Maduro’s regime remains on the table. “I don’t rule it out, no,” he said in a phone interview with the network.

And at a year-end press conference at the state department, Marco Rubio doubled down on remarks by other top Trump advisers that the US could coerce Maduro through its campaign of strikes on alleged drug boats travelling toward the United States.
