Thus, according to a Feb. 1, 2021 report, “The British taxpayer has shelled out over £15,000 to the widow of the mastermind behind the 2017 London Bridge terror attack, while the families of victims were denied similar financial support.”

During that attack, Zahrah Rehman’s husband, Khuram Butt, and two other Muslims, killed eight people and injured another 48, by running over them with a van and stabbing them with knives. If police had not managed to shoot and kill the three terrorists, many more passersby would likely have been killed.

150 People Were Shot in Chicago Since Illinois Sent the National Guard to D.C.

Democrats occupy D.C. while their own people die every day.

After shooting deaths shot up 75% in Chicago, Governor Pritzker announced that he was dispatching 500 more National Guard troops to fight “the dark forces of racism” in D.C.

Washington D.C. may be suffering from “the dark forces of racism” since it’s currently in the hands of the party of racism, slavery, and segregation, but those National Guard troops would do a lot more good in Chicago where 81%, the majority of shooting victims, are black.

The hit-job interview is a staple of British journalism. There is, I suppose, an obvious attraction to it: while it can destroy its subject, it can also make the career of a journalist. And yet for the reader, listener or viewer, it can also be deeply boring — for the simple reason that if the journalist makes clear their conclusion from the outset, there’s no chance of having a reasonable discussion. People who agree with it rejoice, those who don’t switch off. Nothing gets learned; no ideas are properly discussed.

Covid poses a serious threat to humankind. So does the culture of fear.

This lockdown feels different to the first one. Everyone can sense it. It feels greyer, more dispiriting. The sunny weather of the April / May lockdown has been replaced by rain and the occasional snowstorm, robbing even our ‘daily’ walk of its tiny promise of pleasure. The social solidarity of the first lockdown has been usurped by a concerted emphasis on the necessity of atomisation. Back in March, April, May, we set up local WhatsApp groups and pulled together to shop and care for isolated neighbours. This time round if you go outside you’ll be greeted by ghoulish public-health posters featuring elderly people in oxygen masks and the reprimanding line: ‘Look her in the eyes and tell her you never twist the rules.’ First time round we were assistants to the elderly; this time round we’re their potential killers.

Vaccine Skepticism – Why are some health-care personnel reluctant to get the shot?

The two Covid-19 vaccines currently approved for emergency use and being distributed to the states have been shown to be highly effective in preventing infection and serious disease. It is hoped, but not yet proven, that the vaccines will also prevent transmission from a vaccinated person who has been exposed to an unimmunized individual, an important step to achieving herd immunity. The key to securing these benefits is getting people to accept vaccination. The CDC has recommended that health-care personnel and residents of long-term care facilities be offered the first doses of Covid-19 vaccines, as they are high-risk populations.

UK expelled Chinese journalists ‘working as spies’

Three journalists who were allegedly working as spies for China were asked to leave the UK last year.

Their departure, first reported by the Daily Telegraph, came because they had arrived under journalism visas but were believed to be working for the Ministry of State Security, part of China’s intelligence apparatus.

Their departure was low-key and did not come in the past few months.

The Home Office declined to comment on the reports.

ICC Decides Its Jurisdiction Extends to Territories Controlled by Israel Since 1967 Six Day War

The court has for years been examining allegations of war crimes committed by Israel since 2014. The investigation started one month before both sides fought a war, which left more than 2,000 Palestinians, including civilians dead.

The International Criminal Court said it had decided by majority that its territorial jurisdiction “in the situation in Palestine” extends to territories held by Israel since 1967 Six-Day War, namely Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The court’s announcement paves the way for an investigation. However, the ICC noted that it is not “constitutionally competent” to determine matters of statehood that would bind the international community.

The ICC, like the UN, is yet another corrupt institution dominated by shithole states.

British woman faces prison in Dubai for telling flatmate to ‘f*** off’ on Whatsapp

A British woman has been detained in Dubai after her flatmate reported her for saying ‘f**k you’ in a private WhatsApp row during lockdown.

The unnamed woman, 31, had been arguing with her Ukrainian flatmate over the use of the dining room table while working from home in October last year. She then attempted to leave the United Arab Emirates and move back to the UK on Saturday, after finding a new job.
