The Bitter Truth About Free Speech

Repairing free speech is the No. 1 priority in this nation right now.

Here’s a sad truth we now have to live with.

The America we know, the America we grew up with, the America we had until a year or less ago, is gone. The Constitution of the United States of America, the “greatest document ever struck off by the brain and purpose of man at any one time,” as Gladstone called it, lies in ruins.

Among many other catastrophes, we have lost freedom of speech. This just happened within the last few weeks.

Oh boy.

Beware the proliferation of preferred pronouns

Beware the proliferation of preferred pronouns

Pronouns can’t be mandated from above. But that hasn’t stopped the pronoun police from trying.

I recently attended an online conference on student mental health and was struck by the number of attendees whose online identification included not only their name but also their preferred pronouns. There is a growing trend for people to list their preferred pronouns on their social-media profiles and on their personal or work email signature. The third Wednesday in October each year is now International Pronouns Day. Many celebrities and politicians have also got in on the act. Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, in an address at the Pink News awards, introduced himself by declaring that ‘my pronouns are he/him’. For many, these declarations not only express their personal identity, but are also meant to denote their alignment with progressive and subversive political causes.

Your Government is Afraid of You

Your Government is Afraid of You

The Swamp is terrified of Trump – still. That explains their fixation on eradicating him and his movement. “Trumpism” was not extinguished when Joe Biden raised his right hand to become the 46th president.

Fear grips The Swamp. Here is some evidence: the military occupation of Washington, DC; claims of “insurrection”; Speaker Pelosi’s interference with the military command structure; more baseless claims of dark Russian conspiracies; serious discussion of reeducation camps for Trump supporters; marginalizing and criminalizing all things “Trump” – those are all expressions of fear.

Australia Hits Back At Google, Facebook: It’s “Inevitable” You’ll Soon Pay For Hosting Australian News

Neither side is backing down after weeks of standoff between the Australian government and Google over proposed legislation aimed at better compensating and rewarding local news publishers, while bringing greater transparency to the way algorithms employed by Google, Facebook, and YouTube work.

Canberra is now finalizing the bill which will require Google to obtained licenses for all content published by Australian news companies. Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc. oversees an estimated at least 94% of all search traffic in Australia, similar to many other countries globally, at a time it’s coming under increased accusations of using its monopoly power to bully content providers and smaller competitors.

I hope Google gets smashed.

Terrorism watchdog to open inquiry into radicalisation in prison

An inquiry into the way prisons deal with convicted terrorists is being launched by the independent terror watchdog amid concerns of growing radicalisation behind bars.

Jonathan Hall QC said there had been a succession of terror attacks on prison officers while other inmates were coming under the influence of “high status” terrorist prisoners.

Hall, the government’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said that if terrorist activity was taking place in jails then it had to be dealt with.

He must have had some good stuff: Liberals oust Brampton Centre MP for making ‘baseless and dangerous accusations’ against caucus colleagues

OTTAWA—The federal Liberals have kicked out of caucus Brampton Centre MP Ramesh Sangha, charging him with making “baseless and dangerous accusations against a number of his caucus colleagues.”

In a statement, the chief government whip Mark Holland says that he learned about the allegations late last week and consulted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau immediately.

“The necessary steps were taken. As of this afternoon, Mr. Sangha has been removed from the Liberal caucus,” said Holland, who has not yet replied to a request for clarification.

I smell the usual LPC faggotry.

Rudy Giuliani sued by Dominion voting machine firm

A firm which provided voting machinery in last year’s US presidential election is filing a defamation suit against Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani, seeking $1.3bn (£950m) in damages.

Dominion Voting Systems accuses Mr Giuliani of using Twitter and media appearances to promote a false narrative that the election was stolen.

Mr Trump has refused to concede that Joe Biden won the 2020 election fairly.

Mr Giuliani said the case would give him a chance to prove his allegations.

HARRIS: Killing Keystone, Biden’s gift to Trudeau

HARRIS: Killing Keystone, Biden’s gift to Trudeau

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney is right to charge the federal government with being weak in their response to President Joe Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline.

Considering that it will cost Canada billions of dollars and thousands of well-paying jobs across the country, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement that, “we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfil his election campaign promise” is pretty weak tea.

Lawmaker Slams Greece’s Digital Vaccination Certificates, Calls Idea Form of ‘Apartheid’

Greek authorities began issuing digital vaccination certificates for people vaccinated against the coronavirus last week, with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis suggesting the measure should be introduced across the European Union to facilitate travel and tourism.

The Greek government’s vaccination certificate initiative will divide society and constitutes an “apartheid-type,” restriction of freedoms, Nikos Filis, a SYRIZA lawmaker and former education minister under the Tsipras government, has said.

Biden’s First Signal on China: Fond Memories

Biden’s First Signal on China: Fond Memories

“I was asked a long time ago when I was with Xi Jinping,” said President Joe Biden in his first hours in office, as he swore in officials, “and I was on the Tibetan plateau with him, and he asked me in a private dinner he and I and we each had an interpreter he said can you define America for me, and I said yes and I meant it. I said I can do it in one word, one word: possibilities. We believe anything is possible if we set our mind to it, unlike any other country in the world.”

In Beijing, Communist Party leaders must be ecstatic. For one thing, during the 10-minute ceremony Biden mentioned no other country.

Migrants Increasing at ‘Concerning Rate’ on Southern Border, Says CBP Agent

As caravans build up in Honduras, migrants are increasing at a “concerning rate” at the United States southern border, according to Matthew Hudak, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) chief patrol agent of the Laredo sector in Texas. He warns that immigration is just a piece of the threat coupled with the pandemic health risk and other crimes along the border.

“Like everybody, we’re tracking the formation of these caravans in Central America,” said Hudak. The Laredo Sector is one of nine CBP sectors along the southern border. It contains about 135 miles of the international border with Mexico.

Canadians want online hate and racism curbed, even at cost of freedom of speech, poll finds

Most Canadians want the government and social media companies to do more to curtail hateful and racist behaviour online even if it diminishes freedom of speech and privacy, according to a national opinion survey.

The findings add to fraught debates over free speech and censorship, the power of Big Tech, the boundary between opinions and abuse, and how best to maintain free speech in an omnipresent online world.

One poll commissioned by a biased organization that sucks on the government teat. I refuse to believe Canadians are this stupid.

This reeks of government propaganda.
