Waffle House CEO blasts lockdown-loving, elitist lawmakers for most anti-working class act in US history

The CEO of the popular breakfast chain Waffle House is calling out lockdown-loving, elitist politicians who have nearly bankrupted the restaurant industry during the COVID-19 pandemic with one-size-fits-all restrictions on indoor dining. “None of the people who make the decisions to shut down businesses and impact people’s livelihoods ever have their own livelihood impacted,” Walt Ehmer declared.

Ontario sets new record of 1,589 Kung Flu Kases

Ontario sets new record of 1,589 Kung Flu Kases

Ontario is reporting a record number of new cases of COVID-19 just as Toronto and Peel enter a lockdown to control the rapid spread of the virus.

The Ministry of Health says that there were 1,589 new instances of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus confirmed on Sunday, as we all as another 19 deaths.

Climate change: Covid pandemic has little impact on rise in CO2

The global response to the Covid-19 crisis has had little impact on the continued rise in atmospheric concentrations of CO2, says the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

Carbon emissions fell dramatically in 2020 due to lockdowns that saw transport and industry grind to a halt.

But this has only marginally slowed down the overall rise in concentrations, the scientists say.

‘You’re such a D**K’: New Jersey Governor Murphy confronted by protesters as he dines with family at restaurant

A video has emerged showing protesters crashing New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s family dinner at a local restaurant. The governor has been advocating for families to limit their public outings for the holiday season.

The short clip, purportedly filmed at a restaurant in Asbury Park over the weekend, shows Murphy sharing a meal with at least five other people, apparently his family.

Toronto and Peel Region begin 28-day lockdown

Toronto and Peel Region begin 28-day lockdown

Toronto and Peel Region have entered the lockdown stage of Ontario’s pandemic protection plan.

It means that for at least the next 28 days, non-essential retailers can only offer curbside pickup, while restaurants are closed to all but takeout and delivery orders in the two COVID-19 hot spots.

The rent subsidy will help some businesses, but for many it will be too late.

Individuals are reportedly avoiding testing because a positive puts them at real risk of job loss.

We are being driven into poverty and no amount of “sorry” by politicians and the well insulated will mitigate that loss.

‘KrakenOnSteroids’: Sydney Powell says she ‘understands’ Trump’s lawyers distancing themselves from her, vows to fight on

Sidney Powell, one of the most vocal legal voices championing the Trump campaign’s allegations of large-scale election fraud, has said she stands by her claims after the president’s legal team seemingly distanced itself from her.

“I understand today’s press release. I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon,” Powell told CBS News in a statement on Sunday, hours after the Trump campaign clarified she was not a part of the legal team led by Rudy Giuliani.

Leon’s received almost $30 million in government Covid handouts — now it’s posting record profits

Leon’s received almost $30 million in government Covid handouts — now it’s posting record profits

…Leon’s didn’t discover a gold mine under its North York head office, but it did identify another treasure, courtesy of the federal government: The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) — which generated a $29.8 million windfall for the furniture company.

The CEWS program provides eligible companies with a 75 per cent subsidy for salaries for both active employees and those laid off and rehired. While firms were encouraged by the government to immediately rehire employees let go when the pandemic hit, this was not a binding condition for receiving funds.

I do hope the Leon’s coke smuggler scion has learned his lesson.

Art critic says Republicanism must be “snuffed out”

Saltz’s full tweet read, “Republicanism is no longer a political problem; Republicanism is a social problem. It must be treated in the same way coronavirus is treated: it has to be isolated and snuffed-out by repressing it in about 70% of the general population.”

70%,eh? So you’re admitting Trump did win by a landslide? Plus, that makes us a majority.

How climate change will impact Canada

When you hear the word “climate change,” what’s the first thing that you think of? ”

Forest fires, historic flooding and melting glaciers are just some of the examples of how the impacts of a changing climate and the extreme, unpredictable weather patterns that come with it have been experienced by Canadians.

And while many of the effects of climate change will be shared to varying degrees, such as the increased frequency of more extreme and unpredictable weather, the way it manifests in different parts of Canada will probably look different, experts say.

13 deadly hours

Over 13 hours, a man disguised as a Mountie travelled nearly 200 kilometres through Nova Scotia, killing 22 people. The Fifth Estate explores what the RCMP knew about the gunman that night, how they remained one step behind and why the public was left in the dark.

LILLEY: Five steps to reduce gun violence that target actual criminals

If one thing is clear in the ongoing problem of gun crime in Canada it’s that we’re focused on the wrong issues — at least the political leaders in Ottawa are.

Flat Out TDS: Media Is Already Trying to Erase Trump Being President

How bitter and TDS-ridden are folks on the left about President Donald Trump?

Well, a headline and article in Yahoo perhaps reveals how far over the slide some have gone.

News broke yesterday that President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr. had tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus.

Now most normal people on both sides of the aisle would wish him well, perhaps even telling the president they wished his son well.

Not so much Yahoo.

WaPo Columnist’s Meltdown Over Alleged Voter Fraud Is Precisely What’s Wrong with the MSM

One of The Washington Post’s syndicated columnists, Michael Gerson, went on a Twitter rant on Sunday about how “angry” he is that Republicans won’t stand up to President Donald Trump.

It begins: The Biden border surge, and too bad about the COVID lockdowns

Migrants, and more important, the people who traffic and profit from migrants, are like the stock market: They’re forward-looking. They make decisions now based on what they see coming down the pike.

Lockdowns Are Serial Killers. End them Now.

Lockdowns Are Serial Killers. End them Now.

We are constantly told by our political leaders and the compliant media that a pandemic lockdown is absolutely necessary if we are ever to defeat the COVID virus. Mask mandates, quarantine camps, self-isolating, limited sociability, the stoking of public fear and panic, the shuttering of businesses and the attendant cratering of the economy have become, once again, the false solution to a politically ginned-up crisis — déjà vu all over again.

What’s Behind Iran’s Terror Campaign in Europe?

What’s Behind Iran’s Terror Campaign in Europe?

A trial due to begin next week in the Belgian city of Antwerp is set to cast further light on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s use of official diplomatic missions in its ongoing campaign of violence and harassment of its opponents across the globe. While the threat of activities by non-state Sunni jihadi organizations remains high on the agenda of many western countries, the flouting by Iran of global norms in pursuit of the regime’s perceived enemies has received little focus. The Antwerp trial may serve to change this.
