Feminism, the Nose-Ring Theory, and Our Potential Extinction

What the indoctrination of third-wave feminism has wrought — loneliness.

Ihave an acquaintance. She’s a lot younger than me. I like her, but she’s one of those people who thinks she’s a rebel by doing things which are annoyingly conventional for women her age.

I try not to hold that against her, because it’s quite clear she’s been propagandized and indoctrinated into a worldview she will hopefully discard. I think she’s smart enough to do that.

Eventually.

Who won the first NYC mayoral debate?

Socialist upstart candidate Zohran Mamdani entered the first general mayoral election debate as the front-runner and left the same way — despite some strong performances from his rivals, a Post panel of political experts said.

Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, running as an independent, and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa “did what they needed to do” Thursday by repeatedly hitting the Democratic candidate on tough issues like Israel, his past calls to defund the police and his lack of experience.

Canada’s gun laws in the spotlight at trial of accused in two random Toronto killings

The accused listened to proceedings with his eyes closed and his mouth open.

It appeared that 43-year-old Richard Edwin, whose trial began this week, was heavily medicated with antipsychotic drugs.

Certainly projecting as narcotized — someone in need of mental stabilizing — would be fitting when the core substance of the defence is that Edwin should be found not criminally responsible (NCR) in the shooting deaths of two men he didn’t even know within a span of two days in downtown Toronto in 2022.

The chances of being shot by some drugged up rando remains pretty remote in Canada.

But it is impossible for the police to bend space and time to protect you when you’re being victimized.

At best you’ll likely contribute a positive stat to the TPS’ excellent homicide closure rate.

In this instance the shooter was in possession of legally obtained weapons despite a history of mental illness.

Who do gun laws protect? Not you and not me.

They make life easier for criminals who appreciate the unlikely possibility of return fire.

In the effort to maintain the state’s monopoly on violence you’re just unarmed collateral damage.

NATO shouldn’t exist, China told MEPs

Chinese lawmakers told members of the European Parliament that NATO shouldn’t exist, and spouted Russian talking points about the war in Ukraine at a rare meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

The three-hour meeting between the EU Parliament’s China delegation and members of China’s National People’s Congress was the first of its kind in seven years, and came after Beijing’s decision earlier this year to lift sanctions on current and former MEPs.

But rather than a diplomatic thaw, the meeting was tense and testy, marked by the Chinese side challenging NATO’s legitimacy.

Maxime Bernier warns Canadians of threat to internet access posed by Liberal bill

People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier called a new Liberal federal bill that, if passed, would empower the government to ban anyone’s internet access a “digital guillotine” designed to “silence critics.”

“I want to talk to you about a number that should send a chill down your spine: Bill C-8. The Liberals are trying to set it as a cybersecurity bill. Don’t believe them. This bill is a digital guillotine,” Bernier said in a recent X video post.

Bernier said that Bill C-8, named “An Act respecting cyber security, amending the Telecommunications Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts,” would give unprecedented power to federal officials with no due process.

The Smart People Can’t Accept Trump Isn’t Hamas or Hitler or Stalin

Liberals always present themselves as smarter than conservatives. But even their attempts to “own” the conservatives can mangle the facts. On CNN’s NewsNight, 22-year-old Meidas Touch Democrat Adam Mockler compared President Trump to Hamas terrorists because they were both “elected democratically.”

Earth to Mockler: Hamas had one election and never allowed another. Donald Trump won an election, then lost an election, and then won another election. America is a vibrant, contentious democracy. Meanwhile, Hamas marked its “peace deal” with Trump by executing people in the streets. Gaza fits all the Left’s constant talk of authoritarian demise.

Karoline Leavitt Notices the Dark Side of the Democrat Base and Now They’re Going Ballistic

If the X platform hadn’t been messing with my algorithms of late, I might have missed this. But thanks to Elon Musk’s sometimes quirky social media platform, I was treated this afternoon to non-stop reposts from leftists all featuring the same 20-second clip of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Fox News. This clip is blowing up my feed, and all of the posters are outraged Democrats.

Carney announces details of new bail reform bill coming next week

Next week, the Canadian government will bring forward a new bail reform bill aimed at cracking down on violent and repeat offenders, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Thursday.

The new legislation will target those accused of serious crimes such as violent auto thefts, breaking and entering, human trafficking, as well as sexual and violent assaults, in an effort to keep those accused of such acts, out of Canadian communities.

“Right now, in most bail hearings, the starting point is to release, and the Crown must prove why someone should not be released on bail, making it too easy for repeated violent offenders to quickly get back on the street, sometimes back into the same communities that they just committed crimes in,” Carney said. “Our new law will flip that script.”

LILLEY: Leaders know auto industry in peril, but they aren’t steering us out of this

Mark Carney has been claiming that we have the best trade deal in the world with the United States. Try telling that to the workers at the Stellantis plant in Brampton now facing permanent layoffs as production of the Jeep Compass moves from Ontario to Illinois.

It was just last week that Donald Trump’s commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, told a Toronto business audience said that auto assembly jobs would move to the United States and Canada would need to be second.

Trump Considers Overhaul of Refugee System That Would Favor White People … Usual Racists Faint

The Trump administration is considering a radical overhaul of the U.S. refugee system that would slash the program to its bare bones while giving preference to English speakers, white South Africans and Europeans who oppose migration, according to documents obtained by The New York Times.

The proposals, some of which already have gone into effect, would transform a decades-old program aimed at helping the world’s most desperate people into one that conforms to Mr. Trump’s vision of immigration — which is to help mostly white people who say they are being persecuted while keeping the vast majority of other people out.

The Horror! The plans entail placing a new emphasis on whether applicants would be able to assimilate into the U.S., and to focus on Europeans.
