The War on Boys: Why Stories Are the Antidote to a Culture That Calls Masculinity Toxic

Walk into almost any school today, and you’ll see it: boys being told, in a hundred subtle ways, that their very nature is a problem. They’re too loud. Too restless. Too competitive. Too aggressive. If they’re not sitting still and coloring quietly, something must be wrong with them.

The phrases we use are damning — toxic masculinity, patriarchy, problematic behavior. And the message comes through loud and clear: There is something inherently bad about being a boy.

The ‘self-inflicted injury’ to U.S. tourism that’s making some Americans angry and disappointed

Joe Koenen has not seen a single Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat all summer.

Typically, Canadians will flood the streets of Seattle during the summer, but Koenen, who runs Seattle Free Walking Tours (where people pay what they can), said Canadian tourists are almost gone. Streets look emptier to him.

Canadians calling to cancel their tours “explicitly told me that it was because of the policies and the behavior of our current president,” he said.

French President Macron Rewards Terrorism, Whips Up Slaughter

July 24,2025: French President Emmanuel Macron announces that he will officially recognize a “Palestinian State.” He publicizes a letter he sent to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, and praises his “courageous commitments”. In it, Macron emphasizes his desire to “fulfill the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people” and that “We must immediately implement a ceasefire, release all hostages and provide massive humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,” Macron reportedly announced. He did not, however make recognizing a fictitious Palestinian state conditioned on any of that.

“Peace is possible,” he added, along with the notion that “Building a Palestinian state and ensuring its viability would ‘contribute to the security of all in the Middle East.”‘

GOLDSTEIN: Liberals’ response to antisemitism has been mealy-mouthed and dismal

Since Canada’s ostensible support for the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism has become a farce, Prime Minister Mark Carney should be honest with Canadians and formally withdraw Canada’s endorsement of the document.

He can do it when he recognizes the State of Palestine at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly next month, so that it will be clear to Canada’s 400,000 Jews where his government actually stands on the issue of protecting them from unprecedented hate and antisemitic violence.

Celebrities Raised Millions for LA Fire Aid. Much of the Money Went to Programs for Illegal Aliens and Nonprofits That Only Assist ‘Black and Brown Communities.’

The cash is burning, too.

Millions of dollars raised to help victims of the 2025 California wildfires have ended up in the coffers of unrelated nonprofits pushing a variety of progressive causes, a Washington Free Beacon review found. Some of the groups that have received funds explicitly exclude white people from their services, while others advertise programs for illegal aliens.

Quebec wants to ban prayer in public spaces. Is it legal?

Quebec’s announced move to ban prayer in public spaces is being condemned by civil liberties advocates, while legal experts say it could further test the limits of the notwithstanding clause in Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Secularism Minister Jean-François Roberge said Thursday that he will table legislation this fall to outlaw public prayer, calling “the rise of street prayers” in Montreal and other parts of Quebec “a serious and sensitive issue.”

Who cares if it’s “legal” it’s a great idea.

Rudy Giuliani seriously injured in freak car crash after helping domestic violence victim: spokesman

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seriously injured in a freak car accident in New Hampshire on Saturday night, a rep said.

Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized with a fractured vertebrae and multiple cuts and bruises, including injuries specifically to his left arm and lower leg, after his rent-a-car was hit from behind, spokesman Michael Ragusa said Sunday.

“Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident. He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety,” said Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security.

Guess What DOGE Found Your Money Is Funding Now!

There are times when reading a list of projects funded by the United States federal government sounds more like parody than reality.

The Department of Government Efficiency — unlike Congress, it seems — is still working hard every day to identify and eliminate waste and fraud from the federal government funded by our taxpayer dollars. And this week’s update included some profoundly idiotic programs and grants that were, until now, recipients of our hard-earned cash

Number of sick days taken by public servants growing post-COVID

OTTAWA – Federal public servants were less likely to call in sick to work during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, new government data shows.

The figures shared by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat indicate that in 2020-21, when the pandemic had most office employees working entirely remotely, the average number of sick days for the public service was 5.9.

That number grew to 8.1 in 2021-22, 8.8 in 2022-23 and 9.2 days in 2023-24.

We need a DOGE.

‘No Exceptions‘: Trump to Sign EO Requiring Voter I.D. in Elections

President Donald Trump said Saturday he will take decisive action when it comes to voter I.D. and elections across America.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Voter I.D. Must Be Part of Every Single Vote. NO EXCEPTIONS! I Will Be Doing An Executive Order To That End!!! Also, No Mail-In Voting, Except For Those That Are Very Ill, And The Far Away Military. USE PAPER BALLOTS ONLY!!! President DJT.”

I still don’t see how the Dems consider voter ID such a travesty. Have they no shame?

Facilities in new Quebec end-of-life care home highlight growing demand for MAID

JOLIETTE – In nearly 30 years as a palliative care physician, Dr. Nathalie Allard has provided end-of-life care in busy hospital hallways, and consulted with families with only a curtain separating them from sick people screaming or vomiting on the other side.

On Thursday, she attended the opening of a brand-new palliative care facility northeast of Montreal that represents the kind of place where she wants to work and, one day, to die.

“It’s my workplace — and my final resting place, probably,” she said cheerfully while giving a tour. “Me, I’m going to die.”

A growing demand for MAID. From who and for what reasons exactly?

Gaza postwar plan envisions ‘voluntary’ relocation of entire population

The Trump administration and international partners are discussing proposals to build a “Riviera of the Middle East” on the rubble of Gaza. One would establish U.S. control and pay Palestinians to leave.

A postwar plan for Gaza circulating within the Trump administration, modeled on President Donald Trump’s vow to “take over” the enclave, would turn it into a trusteeship administered by the United States for at least 10 years while it is transformed into a gleaming tourism resort and high-tech manufacturing and technology hub.

The 38-page prospectus seen by The Washington Post envisions at least a temporary relocation of all of Gaza’s more than 2 million population, either through what it calls “voluntary” departures to another country or into restricted, secured zones inside the enclave during reconstruction.

How will we decide if Mark Carney is winning?

What, exactly, did the people of Canada elect Mark Carney to accomplish?

I think this is a question worth serious consideration as we round in on the prime minister’s first 100 days (or so) in office, and as he’s demonstrated that “elbows up” seems to consist of — rescinding taxes and counter-tariffs that have irked Donald Trump. Carney came to power on an understanding that he would assert Canada’s rights, and even dignity. He inherited an electorate entirely willing to suffer some economic pain in order to do so. And he came to his position with a general understanding that sometimes you have to punch a bully in the nose just to make a point — even if that bully is bigger, stronger and richer than you.

Those that voted for Carney did so to satisfy their smug anti-Americanism and through a tremendous feat of self induced amnesia bought the LPC grift hook, line and sinker.

The rest of us knew “Elbows Up” was an empty slogan and the LPC was and remains as corrupt as ever.
