UK ‘faces social unrest’ if Labour pushes ahead with Islamophobia definition

Britain will face social unrest and a perception of a two-tier society if the government pushes ahead with plans to come up with a formal definition of Islamophobia, the head of a new campaign group has warned.

Angela Rayner, the deputy prime minister, has set up a working group to provide recommendations to the government on “appropriate and sensitive language” to describe “unacceptable treatment, prejudice and discrimination against Muslims”.

Islam is being weaponized in the UK.

The LPC is up to the same skullduggery here.

Leslie Roberts: Pride can either stand up to pro-Palestinian hijackers or lose funding

Another Pride parade, another protest. But this time, the protestors won the day. On Sunday, Queers for Palestine managed to shut down the Ottawa Pride parade by blocking its path on Wellington Street, in front of Parliament Hill. They claim to have done so “with the permission” of the parade’s grand marshal. Capital Pride responded by cancelling the rest of the parade — and the fact they did so says everything you need to know about where Pride has drifted.

German Police Clamp Down on Identitarians While Leftists Go Unpunished

The traditional ARD Sommerinterview with Markus Söder, leader of the CSU and minister-president of Bavaria, was interrupted this past Sunday by a group of activists from the Identitäre Bewegung, an ethnopluralist activist group promoting cultural identity in Europe and opposing Islamization.

Around two dozen demonstrators disrupted the recording by displaying a banner that read “Stärkste Kraft im Land. Uns übertönt ihr nicht” (“The strongest force in the country. You will not drown us out”) while chanting slogans in favor of remigration.

Ukraine summit snub of Canada likely behind Carney’s Kyiv visit: Expert

Canada’s exclusion from last week’s White House meeting of NATO members and the Ukrainian president was likely behind the prime minister’s surprise visit to Kyiv this week.

That’s according to defence policy expert and Macdonald-Laurier Institute senior fellow Joe Varner, who said Canada’s diminishing profile in global affairs is likely why Prime Minister Mark Carney chose to visit Ukraine on Monday.

El Chapo cartel kingpin: I’m sorry for flooding US with drugs

A former Mexican cartel kingpin apologised for flooding the US with cocaine and other substances as he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking.

“I recognise the great harm illegal drugs have done to the people in the United States and Mexico,” Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada told a Brooklyn federal court on Monday through an interpreter. “I apologise for all of it, and I take responsibility for my actions.”

Under the leadership of Zambada and Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, prosecutors say the Sinaloa cartel evolved from a regional player into the largest drug trafficking organisation in the world.

He said the magic word! Release him!

‘You can’t just get mad’: Lawyer explains limits of self-defence in Canada

Canadians have the right to defend themselves during a home invasion, but those rights are not unlimited, says a Toronto’s based criminal attorney.

Lawyer Kim Schofield says many people misunderstand how Canada’s law works when it comes to self-defence and use of force.

“You can do anything that’s reasonable in the circumstances, not anything you want,” Schofield said in an interview with CTV Your Morning.

“It really is context-based.”

Context? As in I contexted the intruder to death?

STIRLING: Carbon capture carrot for oil companies and stick for taxpayers

Western Canadians were hopeful this spring as Canada’s newly minted Prime Minister Mark Carney declared his intention to make Canada an energy superpower with the “strongest economy in the G7.”

Such bold claims were reiterated by Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, in media appearances at the Calgary Stampede. Like Carney, Hodgson especially highlighted his interest in the Pathways Alliance Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) proposal. CCS captures carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from industrial operations and transfers them by pipeline to be stored deep underground. This project would supposedly help Canada meet Net Zero climate targets.

Disney Wants Ideas For Movies That Will Appeal To Young Men. I Have A Few

Executives at Walt Disney Studios are reportedly pressing Hollywood creatives for movie ideas that will bring young men back to the theaters. According to Variety, Disney is hoping to get Gen Z men, which it defines as ages 13 to 28, interested in original films.

“The sources say Disney has been seeking new IP and pitches such as splashy global adventures and treasure hunts, as well as seasonal fare like films for the Halloween corridor,” Variety reports. “The calls come as the Star Wars machine struggles to produce any film project and the superhero genre sheds audiences by the minute.”

Canada is still burning witches

Canada likes to present itself as America’s friendly neighbour to the north, a paragon of kindness and inclusivity. But beneath the flannel shirts and wholesome, outdoorsy image, it has turned into a laboratory for woke extremism. This is the nation where ‘compassion’ means ushering citizens towards state-assisted death, and where the bank accounts of anti-lockdown protesters are frozen to ensure public safety. The latest victim of Canada’s smothering embrace is nurse Amy Hamm.

Techno-politics is fuelling public anger

Billionaires are prepared to leave the world behind

It would be hard to exaggerate what is at stake in this anxious and uncertain historical moment. In Europe and the Anglosphere, ideological polarisation is fomenting political violence. Popular anger at governing elites is coming to a boil. AI has begun to eliminate jobs across multiple industries, not just for symbolic thinkers — data analysts, coders, content creators, translators, tax preparers, accountants — but for anyone whose work can be done by robots. And tech multibillionaires are behaving like masters of the universe on a gambling spree in a cosmic casino, wagering humanity’s future on a roll of the dice.

Canada’s Fentanyl Czar Reportedly Told U.S. Officials: ‘I Have No Authority’

WASHINGTON — Ottawa’s newly appointed “fentanyl czar” told U.S. officials in Ottawa he has no authority to influence Canadian federal police or border agencies, according to an official with knowledge of the relevant meetings. For U.S. enforcement experts, the admission underlined what they describe as the emptiness of Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney’s high-profile pledges to crack down on transnational fentanyl production and trafficking by Chinese and Mexican syndicates — and underscored systemic failures in Canada’s response to cartels exploiting the nation’s ports, borders, and infrastructure.

Time to End the UN

The UNRWA scandal is the last straw.

“However much you hate the mainstream media,” goes the saying, “you don’t hate them enough.” The same applies to the United Nations, which in recent months has come under renewed scrutiny in large part because of the scandalous role of UNRWA – the United Nations Relief and Works Agency – in the Gaza crisis.
