UNRWA About to Collapse?

With so much news—especially Middle East news—it was easy to miss this.

According to the outgoing CEO of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian People, Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA is on the verge of collapse.

Of course the Liberal Party lavishes our cash on them … Since fully restoring funding in 2016 (after a temporary cut), total pledges have exceeded $200 million CAD

Trump Weighs Terror Label for UNRWA Over Hamas Ties

The Trump administration is considering designating the UN’s Palestinian relief agency, UNRWA, as a terrorist organization, a move that would expose it to U.S. sanctions amid mounting allegations of deep ties to Hamas.

Washington was long the largest donor to UNRWA but halted funding in January 2024 after Israel accused several UNRWA staff of involvement in the deadly October 7th, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack that triggered the conflict in Gaza.

Federal Investigators Work To Blacklist Hamas-Tied UNRWA Staffers

The chief oversight body responsible for monitoring American foreign assistance has launched an independent investigation into United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staffers’ ties to Hamas, building a blacklist that will prevent them from migrating to other U.N. agencies that may be involved in the Gaza reconstruction project, nonpublic briefing materials reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show.

Time to End the UN

The UNRWA scandal is the last straw.

“However much you hate the mainstream media,” goes the saying, “you don’t hate them enough.” The same applies to the United Nations, which in recent months has come under renewed scrutiny in large part because of the scandalous role of UNRWA – the United Nations Relief and Works Agency – in the Gaza crisis.

American Families of Terror Victims Sue UNRWA

The IDF discovered documents in Gaza that show the overlap between UNRWA and Hamas. UNRWA staff took part in the October 7, 2023 atrocities, and several thousand UNRWA employees turn out to be Hamas operatives. UNRWA buildings have been used by Hamas to store weapons, and Hamas has even built one of its data centers under UNRWA’s Gaza headquarters. Now, on the basis of this evidence, American families of terror victims of Hamas are suing UNRWA for its support of the terror group.

Trudeau funds this with your tax dollars: UNRWA Student Calls for Jews To Be ‘Wiped From All of Palestine’ in Video

Video of 14-Year-Old Unrwa Student Calling for Jews To Be ‘Wiped From All of Palestine’ Among New ‘Trove of Evidence’ About UN Agency

Palestinian children enrolled in schools operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East are reportedly being taught to “fight back and resist” so that “Palestine will be liberated and our lands will return to us by the good grace of Allah.”

That’s a direct quote from a 14-year-old student studying at an Unrwa school at Ein Arik, who is featured in a harrowing interview released by a United Nations monitoring group, UN Watch, on Wednesday. The video is just one of the documents that UN Watch — a strident critic of the agency — has pulled out from its “massive new trove of evidence” that put on display Unrwa’s “complicity with terror.”

IDF finds Hamas command tunnel under UNRWA Gaza HQ

New evidence of the cooperation between UNRWA and the Islamist terror organization Hamas came to light after the IDF discovered a tunnel shaft near a UNRWA school during its operations in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military announced on Saturday.

The tunnel shaft, near the school, led to an underground shelter that served as a valuable asset for Hamas’s military intelligence wing, according to the IDF. The route connected to the tunnel also led to a path beneath UNRWA’s central headquarters in the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA nominated for Nobel Peace Prize, amid allegations workers took part in Oct. 7

OSLO, Norway — A Norwegian politician said Thursday that he has nominated the UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, embroiled in a controversy over the alleged involvement of employees in the Hamas-led October 7 terror onslaught against Israel, for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Labour MP Asmund Aukrust told the Dagbladet newspaper he had nominated the UN Relief and Works Agency “for its long-term work to provide vital support to Palestine and the region in general.”

So that’s what you get for having 10% of your staff terrorists!

How UNRWA Grooms Terrorists

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was originally a small agency mandated to provide basic humanitarian relief for Palestinians, including a vote for renewal every three years. Seventy-three years and four generations later, and with more than 30,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $1 billion, it has astonishingly become one of the largest UN agencies.

Stop supporting Palestinian terrorism

Sept. 11 came and went this week as little more than an afterthought. Addressing concerns about terrorism is no longer in vogue, especially in this country. Yet the date when 2,977 innocent women and men were killed in New York’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon and on four airliners serves as a yearly reminder of the devastating consequences of terrorism.

Cut support to UNRWA? Not gonna happen with the LPC and NDP, I am not sure what stance the CPC has on the matter under Poilievre.

Numbers count on voting day.

Avi Benlolo: Liberal pledge of $100M to UNRWA makes Canada complicit in terrorism

Canada has reaffirmed its complicity in the murder of Israelis by renewing its aid to the Palestinians through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to the tune of $100 million over the next four years, in addition to an immediate $3 million in so-called emergency aid.

UNRWA is Part of the Problem – Not the Solution

The United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has once again requested international financial aid. This is the same organization whose workers have been promoting violence and antisemitism on social media.

On January 24, the agency appealed for $1.6 billion “for programs and operations.” UNRWA said it “continues to play an indispensable role in the lives of millions of Palestine refugees,” and warned that “compounding challenges over the past year, including underfunding, competing global crises, inflation, disruption in the supply chain, geopolitical dynamics and skyrocketing levels of poverty and unemployment among Palestine refugees have put immense strain on UNRWA.”

UNRWA — which Biden is funding again — is cozying up to Hamas (again)

What more proof does President Joe Biden need to get him to rethink his decision to resume US funding for the terror-enabling United Nations Relief and Works Agency?

This week, UNRWA Deputy Commissioner Leni Stenseth actually thanked Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar “for his positivity and desire to continue cooperation” with UNRWA, according to a statement from the terror group translated by HonestReporting. She also “affirmed her solidarity” and “offered condolences” on behalf of her agency for what Palestinians lost “in this latest Israeli aggression.”

UNRWA director apologizes for saying IDF strikes on Gaza were ‘precise’ and ‘sophisticated’ after Hamas complained

Why does UNRWA need to barricade it’s HQ and string barbed wire in Gaza?

The director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) apologized on Tuesday amid outrage from Palestinian groups after remarking on Israeli television that the IDF appeared “precise” and “sophisticated” when striking targets in the Gaza Strip.

Shortly after speaking with Israeli broadcaster Channel 12 earlier this week, Matthias Schmale was excoriated by the Hamas terror organization and other Palestinian groups who accused him of absolving Israel from the death of civilians during the 11 days of fighting that ended in a ceasefire last Friday.
