Christian preacher is arrested and threatened with ‘non-crime hate incident’ after asking Muslim woman about passages in the Koran

A Christian preacher of 25 years was arrested after reportedly asking a woman in a headscarf what she thought about Quran verses on domestic violence.

John Steele, 60, had been out in Rotherham town centre on June 21 when he engaged in a ’30-second conversation’ with the passerby at a public awareness stall.

But following the encounter he was detained by police and threatened with a ‘non-crime hate incident’ (NCHI).

The Notting Hill Carnival, Emblem of the Yookay Diversity ‘Miracle’

With the summer now fully upon us and most people looking forward to a well-deserved holiday, the three words your average Metropolitan Police officer most dreads will start to appear in inboxes across the capital. Not ‘police officer redundancies,’ ‘more administrative forms’ or ‘mandatory diversity training.’ No, these words pale into insignificance compared to those which encapsulate the absolute cultural predicament that modern London and its police force have gotten themselves into—Notting. Hill. Carnival.

GIESBRECHT: Will Carney’s immigration policy be any different than Trudeau’s?

Prime Minister Carney has recently introduced a plan to bring in thousands of aging people from India.

He doesn’t explain why such a program could possibly be in the best interests of Canadians — why Canada would possibly want more elderly, retired people who will put even more stress on the medical system, social services and housing. No disrespect to India, or to those retirees, but we have plenty of elderly, retired people, and don’t need to import more.

Jobs subsidy for immigration minister’s longstanding church raises ‘perception’ questions: ethics specialist

Your money is always a Liberal’s money.

OTTAWA — When Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab dropped by a church kids camp this summer, she came to pose for photos to highlight the funding that came from the Canada Summer Jobs program.

It might not have seemed unusual: members of Parliament have a hand in helping organizations in their riding get the summer-job subsidies in the first place. MPs get lists of organizations in their ridings that apply for the subsidy, and recommend who should get it.

Veganism is becoming an extremist lifestyle

The left is eating its plant-based self

This week Billie Eilish served up a reminder of the irritations of veganism. She forced the O2 to go fully plant-based during her six-night run of shows – and the Daily Mail reported that fans, who’d paid £70+ for a ticket to see her, were not happy about the food on offer at the arena. One said: ‘Punters were less than impressed with the vegan options – a mixture of pizzas, cauliflower bits and loaded fries – with more than one asking “Did they run out of meat or something?”.’

The Crown Versus the Truckers: What is it about the Covid protesters that causes Canada to so overreact?

Remember the Canadian “Freedom Convoy” of truckers? Canada isn’t done overreacting. In early 2022 the disruptive protest of vaccine mandates sent the Trudeau government into a panic, unconstitutionally invoking emergency powers and freezing protesters’ bank accounts. Now Crown prosecutors want protest leaders in prison for the better part of a decade.

In April Tamara Lich and Chris Barber were convicted of mischief for their roles in the protests that police inexcusably allowed to block downtown Ottawa streets for three weeks. Prosecutors are seeking seven-year prison terms, plus an eighth year for Mr. Barber, who was also found guilty of counseling others to disobey a court order regarding the honking of horns. Both were found not guilty of intimidation and several other charges thrown at them over the peaceful but noisy protest.

A Grim Anniversary in Canada’s Fight Against Guns – Danforth Muslim Terror Attack

Faisal Hussain – targeted women and girls

Veteran police in Canada still remember the days when officers, stunned that a colleague had taken a gun off the street, would gather to have a look at the firearm.

“It would fly through the station,” said Paul Krawczyk, an inspector with the integrated guns and gangs task force of the Toronto Police Service, Canada’s largest metropolitan police force.

Seizing firearms is now a routine, and growing, part of the job for Canadian police, especially in Toronto. This week marked the grim anniversary of a mass shooting in 2018 in a bustling east Toronto neighborhood called Danforth. Two people — a teenager, Reese Fallon, 18, and a child, Julianna Kozis, 10 — were killed and 13 others were injured.

The Danforth Attack was not a run of the mill mass shooting, it was a Muslim Terror attack covered up by authorities.

Digital Landmines: Beijing’s Quiet Invasion

The Chinese model is disturbingly efficient.

Welcome to 2025, where China’s cyber strategy is no longer espionage. It’s pre-positioning — the digital equivalent of landmines buried deep in our networks, designed not to explode on contact, but to wait in silence until detonation serves strategic purpose.

In June 2025, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Chinese state-sponsored hackers, operating under the codename Salt Typhoon, had spent nine months infiltrating a U.S. state’s Army National Guard network. Not loitering. Not poking. Nesting. They extracted more than 1,400 configuration files, admin credentials, and communication archives tied to secure inter-state systems — a sweep confirmed in the Daily Beast.

Trump Strikes a Blow Against “Woke AI”

The president has signed an executive order that will shape the future of artificial intelligence.

This week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that effectively instructs his administration to refrain from purchasing “woke AI.” The order, issued just as artificial intelligence seems poised to dominate the technological future, creates powerful incentives for developers to produce unbiased AI models that serve the American interest.

I had an inside view of the order’s development and worked with administration officials, including AI czar David Sacks, to define the problem of artificial intelligence getting skewed ideologically. Since the 2020 George Floyd riots, the public has become familiar with the process of ideological capture: “woke” concepts, such as critical race theory, transgenderism, and DEI, proliferate within an institution, then degrade it. Trump and his administration understood these dynamics and prepared a suite of executive orders for the beginning of his term that eliminated Washington’s DEI bureaucracy and defunded government contracts that promote woke ideologies.

‘Bring the Head of Trump’: Iran Must Be Stopped

Iran’s regime has crossed a line that no sovereign state has ever crossed before: it openly called for the assassination of a sitting president of the United States.

Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, one of the most powerful clerics in Iran’s theocratic system, has issued an official fatwa — a religious decree — calling for the murder of President Donald J. Trump. It did not come from some fringe radical hiding in a cave. It came directly from the top of Iran’s religious and political hierarchy. This is equivalent to a declaration of war. What makes the fatwa even more outrageous is that the regime is not just issuing threats—it has been raising money, publicly — to pay for Trump’s murder. It is not a joke. It is a direct, state-sanctioned call to eliminate America’s leader.

Most Canadians think the country is making progress on reconciliation: poll

OTTAWA – Most Canadians believe the country is making good progress on reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, a new poll from Leger suggests.

“The extent to which people feel progress on reconciliation is being made or not has an important bearing on how they feel about the country,” said Jack Jedwab, president and CEO of the Association for Canadian Studies, which commissioned the poll.

The survey of 1,580 respondents was conducted between June 20 and 22. A margin of error cannot be associated to the survey because online polls are not considered to be truly random samples.

Trump Perfects the Art of Making Powerful People Squirm on Camera

President Trump waited for the lights to dim to show a politically charged film to visiting South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. He sat patiently until Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy exploded after being lectured by Vice President JD Vance. And on Thursday, Trump confronted Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell with a piece of paper he pulled out of his pocket, alleging construction cost overruns.

In each instance, TV cameras were rolling, providing coverage of Trump’s target squirming or arguing with the president of the United States.
