Torontonians are evenly split on whether Mayor John Tory should follow through on his plan to resign after admitting to starting a secret, extended relationship with a junior staff member in his city hall office.
A Forum Research poll of 1,042 Torontonians found 45 per cent do not think he should quit, 43 per cent think he should quit, and 11 per cent do not know.
The poll conducted Tuesday has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points 19 times out of 20, putting the difference between those for and against Tory resigning within that margin of error.
